Chapter 11: Trip to hospital

As Sophie's mum sat in the lounge sat in the lounge with Sophies older brother. Trying to comfort Sophie, as her younger brother led Lisa to where   Sophie was laying in the chair recovering, Although Lisa was there and her Seizure had stopped Sophie knew she wasn't out of the woods yet, She had lost the complete feeling of one leg from knee down

Although Sophie was doing much better than she was 10 minutes earlier she still had to be transported to the hospital, which in her mind she was thinking the positive that she had survived instead she was thinking negative she was thinking why didn't this just kill me? why can't I just go to heaven already? Why do I have to go to the hospital instead?

( authors note yes Sophies mind wasn't in the right space even before she started having seizures to another situation which would be a book in itself and if there ever becomes interested I might write about that, although at this point only my close friends in life know about that)

She was thinking this as Lisa was taking her vital signs, Lisa decided for Sophie's sake of her eyes recovering etc it was best to travel at Staus 3, So they didn't have to use the lights or Sirens.

With help of Sophie's brother, Lisa and as well as neighbours who came down to Sophie's house after realizing the commotion. They got her Standing and leaning against Lisa Sophie was able to walk out to the ambulance, Although she was so weak at that point that she was scared of her pet calf Chocolate, as Chocolate tried to approach her to see what was going on.

The calf frightened Sophie as she begun to slip backward, Although Lisa Stood in and caught her so gently, almost like an angel ( to Sophie Lisa, and Eric were angels already in her mind for helping Sophie in Such times of needs .). The only damage caused by the fall was to Sophie and Lisa's shoes, as cow pat stained them.

Sophie was about to apologize. Although Lisa quickly said Don't Worry the Damage Could've been way worse if you had fallen, I don't mind my Shoe care more for your safety if you had fallen the Damage could've been reaĺ bad considering your body's already run Down.

Lisa opened the white picket styled fence she had climbed over earlier to get to Sophie. Opening it was a struggle for Lisa who was carrying a lot of medical equipment and stabilising Sophie so she didn't fall over Because Lisa knew with how weak Sophie's body as if she'd let go Sophie was gonna give the ground an unwanted hug.

Finally, after swinging open the gate Lisa helped Sophie down the Small step. Then walked  Sophie towards the ambulance. Where Lisa caught Sophie again as she begun to trip on a rock.

(I must say Lisa has a very patient personality, unlike Sophie's siblings, because  she spent 10 minutes walking Sophie 30 metres to the ambulance instead of just bringing the bed out of the ambulance, which Sophie didn't want, She wanted to keep as much as her independence as possible )

As Sophie and Lisa arrived at the ambulance, this is where Sophie had to give up her independence as she couldn't climb the steep stairs  (Due to her body being weak as well as partly her cerebral palsy). Lisa pulled out the bed as Sophie balanced herself on a rail. With help from Lisa Sophie climbed onto the bed and as loading her in the ambulance Lisa said  "I thinkI've seen you before " Sophie Replied "you probably have after all we are a small community". Lisa said "no I mean really recently, oh yes I remember don't worry it was just someone else who looked like you yesterday with Eric " Sophie Replied  "Wait now I remember your erics wife? "Lisa replied, "Yes how do you know him?" Sophie said "I was the patient with Eric yesterday now, " Lisa said, "I thought so"

As Lisa reversed out the driveway with Sophie strapped into an Ambulance bed for the second time ever in her entire life. Sophie began to think about Sean.

Soon enough they were partway to the Hospital when one of the machines Sophie was hooked up to Started beeping so Lisa knew she had to pull over  (Sophie was already silently crying before this and Lisa hadn't noticed ). Pulling over on the side of the road next to piles of rocks Lisa climbed out of the seat and to where Sophie was.

Noticing Sophie was crying Lisa said whats wrong.  Sophie replied my legs in excruciating pain and I can barely breathe it feels like (saying this made her short of breath). Lisa asked Sophie if she remembered erics pain scale from yesterday. Sophie replied "Sorta one for stubbed toe feeling sort of pain 10 for it feels like a grizzly bear ripped off arm, and I feel like I'm an 8 right now "

Lisa decided the best plan of action was  to put Sophie on oxegan via a mask, not tubes, incase shewase to have another seizure which was likely, She also decided to insert iv pain relief  into the iv she had inserted while checking Sophie's vitals earlier (the origanal reason the iv was put in was incase of a second seizure which as mentioned which was very possible would happen  ) and tilt the bed for better circulation to sophies leg  which was giving her pain ,aswell as giving Sophie a blanket as her temperature had dropped below the danger zome and Sophie was freezing in a singlet and shorts on a winter night .

Lisa hopped back in the driver's seat consistently checking on Sophie, until they soon after arrived at the Hospital.
