Chapter 101 The Right to Decline Daniella suddenly clenched her fists tightly under the table. “Even though I’m on maternity leave, I still keep track of the company’s inside information. I didn’t tell you about the incident earlier because I didn’t want to trouble you further.”

Evan tapped his knee agitatedly and said, “Don’t make up an excuse to see Caroline next time.”

“Why are you defending her, Evan? Is there something I don’t do well enough?” Daniella sobbed, her makeup running down her face.

Changing the subject, Evan said, “You shall rest at Xander Residence during your pregnancy.”

Unable to control herself, Daniella questioned, “Are you not planning to let me come home, Evan?

This is our baby.”

Evan’s handsome face turned cold with her persistent inquiries. “I will call off the engagement and raise the child myself if you continue like this.”

He stood up and walked away, leaving Daniella in tears.

‘It’s all Caroline’s fault! She must die!‘ she roared inwardly.

With teary eyes, Daniella returned to Xander Residence.

Grayson was not home, but Neil was in the living room.

Although Neil disliked her, Daniella knew she had to try.

“Hello, my brother,” she said softly.

“I’m not your brother.” Neil glanced at her and continued reading his magazine.

Daniella clenched her fists. “I know you don’t like me, but our DNA is a 99% match.

“You can falsify the DNA result.” Neil put down the magazine, stood up, and approached her.”

Daniella, my mother didn’t indirectly harm others like you!”

Daniella gnashed her teeth. “My brother, aren’t you worried that you’ll piss our grandfather off for saying this?”

The door opened as soon as her voice faded.

Grayson walked into the house, talking on the phone. He immediately hung up the call after seeing Daniella’s tear–reddened eyes. 1 He said, “Who bullied you, Ella?”

Daniella began to shed tears once again. “Evan threatened to call off the marriage because of Caroline, Grandpa.”

“What the heck is going on?” Grayson’s voice rose in pitch.

Daniella recounted the event. “Am I really bad, Grandpa…”

Neil’s expression turned solemn after witnessing Daniella’s pretentiousness. He suppressed his anger and said, “I’m going upstairs, Grandpa!”

“Neil!” Grayson said sternly, “Ella is your younger sister!”

“I won’t acknowledge that!” Neil said coldly, “She can’t be my sister when she is such a hypocrite!”

Grayson slapped Neil and roared, “How could you speak about your sister like this!?”

Neil’s eyes turned cold. “I will find the evidence to prove that what I claim is right, Grandpa!”

Neil left Xander Residence after saying that.

Daniella cried even more profusely. “I’m sorry, Grandpa. It’s all my fault.”

Grayson grabbed Daniella’s hand and comforted her, yet his expression turned solemn. “I’ll help you to solve this!”

On Wednesday night, Scott invited Caroline and Paige to dinner.

Caroline headed out to the restaurant after notifying Lily.

A black stopped in front of her when she was hailing a ride outside the villa.

“Come with me, Ms. Shenton.”

Caroline looked at the speaker vigilantly. “Who are you?”

“You don’t need to ask this!”

“I have the right to decline then!” Caroline turned around and walked quickly toward Villa Rosa.

The man immediately stepped forward, stretched out his hands to grab Caroline’s arms, and violently pulled her to the car.
