Chapter 150
Trapped in Love
Chapter 150 I Want the Residentâs Photo Upon returning home, Lily was thrilled to see Scott and enthusiastically prepared a feast for him.
Scott rolled up his sleeves to help in the kitchen. Caroline wanted to lend a hand too, but Scott insisted she stay out of it.
Before dinner, Scott took the children to wash their hands while Lily carried the dishes out As they settled in, Lily addressed Caroline, âCarol, I know itâs not my place, but Iâve observed things over the years, and I feel I should remind you. Doctor Wilson is caring and attentive, especially to the kids. Considering him might be best for their sake.â
Caroline fell silent momentarily. âLily, I still need to sort things out. I donât want to burden Scott.â
Lily reassured her, âDoctor Wilson knows that too, but heâs willing to support you regardless. You need someone to share the pressure.â
Caroline looked down. âI already owe him so much.â
âThen why not give him a chance? You donât have to shut yourself off from happiness, Lily urged.
Caroline glanced at the harmonious scene in the washroom, remembering how he stood by her despite her previous rejection. She considered the possibility of accepting him.
Meanwhile, Evan received a text and location from Julian at an international fiveâstar hotel.
Julian: [Mr. Jordan, we followed them to Bayview. They are staying in the Third Villa]
Evan extinguished his cigarette.
Evan: [Send me the residentâs information in ten minutes.]
Julian: Understood, Mr. Jordan.]
Evan drummed his fingers rhythmically on the sofa.
Bayview Villa was situated in the city center, with each villa costing over 4,000,000 dollars.
Evanâs subordinates discovered she hadnât used the money he had given herâthe sum remained untouched in her bank account. The fact she could afford such a villa puzzled them.
Julian quickly sent Evan information about the resident of Third Villaâa person named Carolyn Shenton.
Carolyn Shenton Caroline Shenton The similarity between the two names made it evident that she was indeed Caroline.
Evan texted Julian, instructing him to keep an eye on Third Villa and obtain a photo of the resident.
After dinner at Bayview, Caroline asked Scott to join her in the study. She wanted to share Axelâs problem with him and not keep it a secret any longer.
She handed him a glass of juice and sat down on the sofa.
Scott looked at her with tender, clear eyes, asking, âDo you have something to tell me?â
Caroline nodded. âDo you remember my baby who died during childbirth?â
âYes, I do,â Scott replied.
âHeâs not dead, Caroline stated firmly. âIn fact, heâs living with Evanâ
Scott was taken aback. âAre you sure?
Caroline then explained the whole situation to Scott, leaving him deeply confused.
âIt could be Daniella.â Scott sighed. âDo you think we should get a psychologist for Axel?â
Caroline nodded, acknowledging her responsibility as a mother for how he turned out. She expressed her desire for him to be physically and mentally healthy.
Scott offered, âI can try if you donât mind I have a certificate in childrenâs psychology.â
Caroline looked at him, surprised. âYou do? I didnât know, given that youâre a surgeon.â Scott chuckled and said, âI forgot to mention it earlier.â
