Chapter 281
Let Love Takes Away All This Pain
Chapter 281: Getting Jealous âJackson?â
âAre you off work yet?â
âNot yet.â
âI knew it.â Jackson said.
âYou change when you get to work.â
Iâve become less trustworthy.
Alva knew he was worried about her health and said, âI wonât stay up all night, donât worry.â
âNot sure.â
He could never trust her.
Alva smiled as she listened. âIs your head better?â
âOkay, itâs all right.â
âReally?â
âI wonât lie to you.â
âThatâs good.â
As soon as heâs well.
She was relieved.
âWhat time do you get off work?â Jackson said.
Alva looked at the time and said, âItâs about seven oâclock, but Iâm not sure.â
âThen call me when you get off work.â
Heâs keeping a close eye on her.
Alva smiled helplessly, âOK, Iâll call you as soon as I get off work.â
âHMM.â
Jackson hung up the phone, looked across at the closed elevator, and then looked at the time.
Itâs almost 7:00. Thatâs almost an hour away.
He waited.
Alva went back to the studio, and Ambrose was still watching.
Except he had an extra pen in his hand, making notes on her file.
Alva walked over and Ambrose said, âYouâre not familiar with some of the manufacturers, youâre not familiar with the fabrics used in them, but I am familiar with them, Iâll mark them for you, and you can go directly to these places.â
He spoke without looking at her, very seriously.
Alva looked at Ambrose. The light shone on his face and hands. His whole body seemed to be stained with light.
This light made her no longer prejudiced against him.
Ambrose fixed it for her, and it was an hour later.
During this hour, Alva made a plan.
Itâs how long it takes between finding the fabric and designing the finished product.
They were both busy, and Ambrose said, âItâs getting late, go back early and rest.â
âHMM.â
Alva, take the files. Go back to the department.
Ambrose packed up, too.
Now itâs just the two of them at AK.
The two get into the elevator.
Ambrose asked, âHave you eaten yet?â
Alva paused and said, âI ate something.â
Ambrose said, âGo get some food. I didnât eat either.â
Just then, the elevator doors opened.
Jackson looks over here.
He frowned when he saw the two men standing in the elevator.
Ambrose looked over, and when he saw Jackson, he stopped.
Alva saw Jackson, too.
She was surprised. âJackson?â
Why is he here?
With a soft smile on his face, Jackson walked over.
âYouâre finally off duty.â
âYouâ¦â
× Jackson looked at Ambrose and reached out, âHi, Iâm Alvaâs husband Jackson.â
Ambrose looked at him, gently but with a sharpness in his eyes.
Ambrose reached out and held it. âI know.â
The two men looked at each other, and there was something subtle in the air.
Alva said, âAmbrose, weâre going back.â
Ambrose nodded.
âGoodbye.â Jackson said.
âGoodbye.â
Jackson and Alva left first, and Ambrose got in, looked in the direction.
of the car, and started the car.
Got married.
No news at all.
He never knew if it was true.
Looks like itâs true.
In the car, Alva looked at Jacksonâs head and frowned. âYou have the right head. You canât fly.â
Jackson took her hand, kissed it to her lips, and said, âI donât think so.â
Alva was helpless, âNot bad for two days, andâ¦â
She paused, frowning.
Jackson saw her frown and squeezed her hand. âWhatâs wrong?â
Alva looked at him, eyes raised helplessly, âI may have to travel in two days.â
Jackson raised his evebrows and nodded. âAnd?â
Travel is not very normal?
âBack to America on business.â
Jackson stopped.
âMost of the suppliers for AK are American,â Alva says, looking ahead. âThe fabrics I use for my designs are American. I have to go back and see the fabrics and order them.â
Designers work hard.
Itâs not like you can just draw a picture.
She has many, many things to do.
Jackson laughed. âSo I ran for nothing?â
Alva nodded, âYou wait in America for two days and I might come back.â
Jackson laughed.
The two went back to Alvaâs place.
But before returning home, the two went to a restaurant for dinner.
Jackson knew Alva must not have eaten, so he took her to eat before returning home.
When the door opened, a dark figure rushed out.
Thinking it was something dangerous, Jackson immediately pulled Alva out of the way and in front of him.
And he blocked Alva, candy will not hold Alva, suddenly barking barking.
Jackson looked down at the sound, then froze.
When candy saw that he was still standing there, she bit his pants and tried to pull him away.
Thatâs a pretty little look.
Alva bent her lips, knelt down and hugged candy, smiling and said, âcandy, donât scream, this is the master too.â
She hugged him, and the little guy leaned into her arms and licked her, all excited.
Jackson sees candy licking Alvaâs neck, face, frowning, âIs that what you mean by candy?â
âYeah, look, isnât it cute?â
Alva looked at him with a smile.
Jackson saw the smile on her face and sighed.
He didnât think candy was cute. He didnât think Candy was cute at all.
Sheâd never smiled at him like that before.
Alva picks up candy and says, âCome in and sce.â
Jackson went in and closed the door.
candy sits in Alvaâs arms, looks at Jackson, and woof.
Itâs like heâs declaring himself master.
1238 Mouchers âItâs no use yelling at me.â Jackson said. âIâm your masterâs husband. You have to treat me like my master.â
He could see that the dog didnât like him very much.
Same as him.
They donât like each other.
candy seemed to understand what he was saying, and turned her head directly, grabbing Alva and licking, as if to say, this is my master, you are not.
Alva was tickled by his licking, and he kept moving, so she couldnât hold him.
âCome down and play by yourself.â
She gave him dog food all day. He wonât starve.
candy is reluctant, but she is put down.
As soon as he was lowered, he hugged Alvaâs legs and barked.
âThereâs nothing you can do about it,â Alva said. âYouâre too heavy for me to carry you.â
Ambrose has been fusing him up all this time.
candy suddenly lying on the ground grievously, purring.
Alva laughed and said to Jackson, âSee?â
Jackson nodded Heâs already watching.
âItâs a nice house.â
The layout has good lighting.
Alva said, âWell, Frank helped me find it.â
Got him a glass of water.
Jackson took it, put it aside, and hugged her.
Alva froze. âWhatâs wrong?â
âIâm jealous.â
Alva was surprised. âHuh?â
Dine on Jealous?
What kind of jealousy is he getting?
Jackson tightened his arms and whispered, âFrank got you a house, Ambrose worked nights with you, and now the dogs are coming after me.â
He has so many rivals.
Alva laughed.
âWhat kind of vinegar are you?â
âFrank and I are good friends, I work with Ambrose, there are things to talk about, and candy was picked up by me, I am its owner, who am I to stick to?â
Jackson shook his head stubbornly. âNo, as far as Iâm concerned, theyâre all my rivals.â
He could take the one he loves away at any moment.
Alva said, âDonât believe me?â
âOr donât believe in yourself?â
Jackson let go of her and looked deep into her eyes. âI was always afraid youâd ask me for a divorce.â
