Chapter 314
Let Love Takes Away All This Pain
Chapter 314: All right, I promise Vicky sits on the bed and looks at her..
A pair of eyes are slightly swollen after crying last night.
She looked at her. âIâve decided, Iâm going to follow you, wherever you go, Iâll go!â
âShe said firmly.
Sheâs not gonna kill herself again, but she has to get Alva to help her.
I must.
Alva paused and sat down on the sofa.
She looked at the time. 7:10.
We can talk.
Looking at Vicky, âLittle girl, letâs talk.â
Vicky sat up and faced Alva, all the fear of last night gone.
âSay it!
âBut let me tell you in advance that nothing you can say will change my decision to follow you.ââ
âOnly if you help me.â
Alva looked into her bright eyes and nodded, âYou said it was you who found me when I was stolen in Silktown?â
âYes!
Sheâs very calm.
âYou said Uriah wanted to buy your fatherâs company because you stole from me and beat me up.â
âYes!
Uriah admitted it.
âHow do you know?â
âBecause I went to Uriah, you think I came to you without him?â He wanted to buy my fatherâs company. I must have gone to him, but he wouldnât give me a chance. He was cruel.â
Alva wasnât surprised by her answer.
Yeah, she wouldnât know about Uriah if she didnât go to her.
Just, âWhat makes you so sure Uriah bought your dadâs company because of me?â
She was curious about that.
Vickyâs lips tightened and she looked down. âHe said everyone has to pay for their mistakes.â
Alva froze.
Everyone has to suffer the consequences of their mistakes?
Uriah, did you say that?
Thatâs what a cold-hearted person would say?
Vicky continued: âMy mum died of a sudden illness when I was ten and I hated my dad because he was away on business when my mum was taken to hospital and he couldnât get through on the phone and when she died she left without looking at him for the last time.
âI hated him, so I did a lot of wrong things over the years, and it was all him who cleaned up after me, and I never felt like I could do anything I wanted.â
âBut this timeâ¦â
She looked up at Alva. âI messed with the wrong people, and I realized what an asshole I was, but thereâs nothing I can do. Itâs no use regretting.â
âMy dad was in a hospital with a brain haemorrhage and was in a vegetative state. He may never wake up.â
âI want to make up for my mistakes, I want him to know that I will never be the same again, that Iâ¦â
Vicky looked down and wiped away the tears that were about to fall. Then, eyes red, she looked at Alva. âYou have to help me. If you donât help me, Iâll follow you.â
Alvaâs lips tightened, her head turned, looked out at the sky on the balcony, and said, âDo you really think Uriah wonât buy your fatherâs company if I beg him?â
Vicky nods heavily. âYes!â
âI believe it!
Alva looked at her. âWell, I can take you to him and tell him face to face not to buy your fatherâs company.â
Vickyâs eyes widened. âReally?â
âDo you really promise?â
She couldnât believe it.
âYes, I promise, but if he refusesâ¦â
âI wonât look for you again!
Vicky says at once.
If even Alva was rejected by Uriah, it would really be of no use.
She gave up.
Alva nodded, âOkay, but Iâm not taking you to him today.â
âTomorrow.â
âIâm very busy today. I canât take you until I finish my work.â
âThen Iâll follow you!â
Vicky got out of bed immediately and stood in front of her, her eyes bright.
âSuit yourself.â
Alvaâs phone rang.
