Chapter 11

08. Meeting His Family.

FORCED BRIDE. (Darkened Brides Book Series #2)

ROOHI.

"I didn't know that you were an illegitimate child born out of wedlock. How degrading that is for me," he said on his way up and passed me. While I was shocked at my spot in a little amazement.

"How can you say that?" I asked him after taking a brief second of realization and turned towards him.

"I'm saying what I think. " he too turned towards me steps ahead of me.

"This is not you Vanish."

"You don't know me," he said as he pivot and left without looking back while my eyes were fixated on him that he will turn and apologize.

But he left. Just like that.

"Roohi we should go. You have to leave." Sukriti interrupted me as she shooked me by my arm.

He is just faking things. I'm sure. He is not someone who cares about fame and name and blood. I put all the random thoughts in my head aside as I started to walk again.

I walked inside the room and I surveyed it.  The cupboard, desk, bed, and bathroom. And dressing table.

It was the same size as my room in Jaipur. It was all white though.

I sat as Sukriti started to dress me up.

~

The car entered a huge green lawn with so many plants and trees with a lawn house in the center where I can see people.

The car stopped as he looked at me.

"You remember what I told you?" he asked me and I remembered that we never concluded on anything.

"I never agreed on anything," I told him as he looked at me with now little furiousness.

"Fine, take whatever name you want but you won't be named Roohi anymore," he said to me, frustrated with my stubbornness.

"But why?" I asked him as he got irritated and grabbed his head and then smacked the seat ahead of us. While I flinched at this.

"Your caretakers are still at my home. I'll make one call and the house will be on fire," he said with fury releasing from his eyes and I ended up shrinking at this side of his.

He opened the door and walked out as I too opened the door and walked out. We walked a little distance until we finally reached the spot everyone was sitting.

Behave like a rich rotten bitch. That means behaving like my sister-in-law, Aarav Bhaiya's wife.

So I didn't pass any smile to anyone as we got nearer. An old man was sitting with five other men. One of them was there at Jaipur with Rudram.

"Ruby this is Vivaan, Sahil,  Veer, Rehan, and you already know Vansham," he said as I nodded and tried to remember their name. "And that is Shrishti, Vansham's girlfriend" he gestured to the only girl sitting here.

She didn't smile at me. Neither did I.

"So, the rumors were true. You went to find a wife in Jaipur." Veer said and everyone smiled. We both sat at the round table.

"Whatever! At least he is better than you all. When will I get to meet your wife after my death?" Grandfather yelled at them. As they became quiet.

"What about Ansh when is he coming back?" A guy asked. What was his name? Rehan? He asked.

Who is Ansh?

"Not anytime soon." That Veer guy said and everyone started to talk about here and there while Rudram joined them in the middle of their conversations and I sat there like a statue.

They all stood after finishing their lunch and they started to leave one at a time.

"Rudram you have to come to meet me next week with her." Grandfather said as he nodded and we again started to leave.

We sat in the car as the driver started to drive.

Is this how it's gonna be?  I, living with my mouth staple forever.

"You did well today," he said as I scoffed.

"Good?  My foot, " I murmured inside me but he heard it.

"Everything comes at a price. I'm giving you freedom. You give me what I want. "

"Freedom what is that?  You made me shut my mouth when I was between people like a statue. Is that freedom?"

"Stop complaining. I'm letting you go to college and come and go out whenever you want. Do whatever you want. Isn't that enough."

"You picked the wrong girl for the wrong thing and whatever you are saying right now is wrong! " I yelled at him as he sighed.

"So do you want me to take you back to Jaipur and give you back to that beast? Is that what you want?"

"If you think you can threaten me with that. Then let me tell you. It doesn't matters to me. I have been living there for 10 years and being beaten like that. I'm pretty immune to it now. You can't use that against me. Send me back. I'm not going to give up my name for you. My manner for you. And anything more that you are going to demand from me further." I snapped back at him as he looked furious right now.

But I didn't flinch this time.

But then he picked up his phone and called someone.

"Take both caretakers from my house to a random spot and leave them," he said as he cut the call.

He is no different than Aarav Bhaiya or Vimal Bhaiya.

"You are going to keep them as a hostage to make me do whatever you want?" I asked him as I teared up.

"If that's what it takes to keep you under my fist. "
