17. I am happy.

ROOHI.

I waved the kids goodbye they all were laughing and smiling as well as I closed the door and wished them good night.

"Was he the one you always use to rush out and giggle for?" Sudha asked me as we turned to go back to the living room. "Well, he is too sweet. But what the hell with you how can you just leave like that with no single note? After Suman's aunty came she told me that you went to study and were about to get married."

"How is she?" I asked ignoring her words. "She is okay. She is not working anywhere since they send her money. "

"They send her money?" I asked with confusion.

"She told me she still gets money from your husband," she said with an astounded face that asked why was I shocked.

He still pays them.

I thought to myself as I looked at Rudram while walking downstairs.

"He is handsome and nice. Didn't ever think that your brothers will ever find someone as good as him for you?" she said to me to my second question. So I made her stop before we reach downstairs and Rudram could hear us.

"How are they?" I asked since I couldn't help myself.

"As bad as before. But seems like Aarav bhaiya have gone insane after you left," she said to me as I was figuring out, insane in what way?

"He is been extra insane with the servant and people around," she said to me as I realized that every worker there would have been suffering his wrath.

We resumed walking and I reached where Rudram and Rahul and Vanish were sitting.

It's not been long but still when I see Vanish. It's awkward between us.

"What are you all talking about?" I asked as I reached the couch and rested my hands on the couch's back.

"Just that I'm going to leave tomorrow morning."

"What?! " I asked shocked. He just arrived and he is going back.

"Why?"

"The show we were sponsoring and shooting is on the verge and all the rich people are there," he said to me as I hummed.

"Show?  Shooting?  Beautiful actresses?" I said as I sighed.

"You are still on the edge about that?  You don't trust me do you?"

"Don't start on that Rudram," I said sarcastically as I sat on the empty seat beside Rahul and he immediately stood to stand somewhere else.

"It's okay Rahul. You can sit. You spend more time with me than him. I'm afraid I might fall in love with you." I said especially changing my tone on my last words. As Rahul coughed a little. Embarrassed.

"Why? Am I ugly? Am I not likable? Not hot enough for you?" I asked him as he looked at me and then at Rudram hesitatingly.

"She is asking you," Rudram shrugged his look as he rested back and he kept his one leg on another. Scaring him.

"Well, I'm not into troublemaker type of girls," he said as I scoffed. And everyone left in laughter since the surrounding was tense right now.

"I'm gonna leave." Vanish said as he stood to go.

"Why?  Stay tonight. Since we have to leave in the morning anyway." Rudram asked him to stay as he looked at me awkwardly but he shooked his head.

"I have someone waiting for me?"

"Who?" I and Rudram asked at the same time. He has no family. He is an orphan. Who does he have?

"Shanaya. She is my girlfriend."

"Woah!" Rahul woah at him as he looked at my reaction. And of course,  I am not currently looking happy. So I pushed a smile on my face for him.

"You moved on?" I spoke under my breath but loud enough, and instantly regretted it. "That's a good thing. You moved on after you dumped me." I said as I awkwardly laughed in the silent room. Trying to joke which came out as his insult.

But seems like Rudram didn't find it graspable as he looked at me with a devil smile.

"Invite her here," he said to him when glaring at me, I eyed him trying to understand. "Since it's our Anniversary. I want to celebrate it. And the more the merrier. "

He told him as Vanish looked at me and I was looking at Rudram. He removed his phone and he went to the side to make her call. He came after a while as he said that she is coming and he is going down to pick her up. And went out.

While I was still glaring at Rudram.

"Rahul, why don't you show Sudha around? I'm sure she will love to see the house on the last floor in the last room." I said to him as Sudha got shocked at where I'm sending her with a guy. But I don't want them to hear a word. And why is she worried she is engaged?

But she took the hint and went with him.

"What are you trying to do? " I asked him as soon as they were out of sight.

"Seems like you are still not over him?" he asked me. "Was four years of distance not good enough?"

"Seriously?" I asked him standing with anger rising in me.

"Seriously what Roohi? Ruby," he asked fumbling on his own words. "That's what it seems to me like. Why are you so hurt?? I didn't ask you to see their sex tape," he said sarcastically as I scoffed with disgust.

"Really?"

"I told you not to pass those stares and glares.  I can tolerate anything in this world but I can't bear betrayal," he said passing me the strangest eyes. That was horrifying to me right now.

"Roohi?" a very familiar voice came from behind me as I pivoted to look at the -
