Halsey thanked Shaun sincerely. "Thank you. I wouldn't have come up with such a perfect plan by myself."

Shaun looked at her with a playful smile. "Do you really want to thank me?"

She nodded. "Of course."

Shaun took a step closer, standing right in front of her. "Well, I'll be waiting for your thank-you gift."

Halsey's face flushed bright red in an instant.

Shaun opened the passenger door. "Get in. I'll drive you home.".

She slid into the car, and Shaun settled into the driver's seat. He pressed the gas and they sped off. Half an hour later, the luxury car pulled up outside the Lincoln family's villa.

Halsey unbuckled her seatbelt. "Thanks for the ride."

Halsey quickly got out and walked toward the house. She didn't look back, but

Once inside, Patricia and Madeline rushed to greet her.

Halsey handed the voice recorder to Patricia. "Mom, give this to Dad. He'll know what to do with it."

Patricia frowned. "Where did you get this?"

"From Mr. Lane. He helped."

Patricia accepted the recorder. "Okay, I'm going to find your father now."

With that, she left.

Madeline glanced at Halsey. "You saw Shaun?"

Halsey smiled. "You already know Shaun's your brother?"

Madeline nodded. "Yeah. I even went to his company looking for him, and I ran into that annoying Chelsea!"

Halsey asked, "Did she give you a hard time?"

"She did, but then Shaun showed up and bit her head off. He told her never to show up at his compa in! I also gave him a piece of my mind. He didn't know you went to look for him, and as soon as he found out, he left. He must've gone looking for you then."

Halsey felt touched. It was a good thing Madeline had gone to find Shaun. Otherwise, with Chelsea around, Shaun might never have known what was going on at Lincoln Enterprise.

She reached out and hugged Madeline. "I'm so lucky to have you and Shaun. He saved Lincoln Enterprise from this crisis."

Madeline smiled warmly. "That's his job! Don't worry. If he ever bullies you, I denounce him!"
