Chapter 428: The Ghost Disappeared

Ji Qingyuan gave a cold humph, then left, but his walking posture was a little weird.

Ning Shu was really disappointed to see him leave. She really wanted to beat him up since Su Manyu would back her up.

“Say, is Lin Qianqian really that good?” asked Su Manyu bitterly.

Ning Shu: “You’ve already asked this question countless times. In Ji Qingyuan’s heart, Lin Qianqian is better than you by a hundred thousand times.”

Su Manyu: Was stabbed in the heart. Ow.

She’d often say that Ning Shu’s clothes were very dull and her looks weren’t anything special. Basically, she’d nitpick all the time and down-talk her to the point that she sounded worthless.

Although Su Manyu always voiced disdain towards Ning Shu, whenever they headed out, she’d still hold Ning Shu’s hand. Ning Shu was pretty sure that she was just scared of the ghost.

Ji Qingyuan said that he was going to have a Daoist priest come exorcise the ghost, but time passed and he never showed up. The ghost also didn’t show up at all. Ning Shu almost felt like the ghost had already disappeared. She couldn’t help but find the peaceful campus life too good to be true. When the ghost used to haunt them, she was nervous all the time. Now that the ghost no longer appeared, it still left her nerves strung.
