“Let’s just see,” said Ning Shu. “I heard that the imperial tutor hasn’t been feeling well lately. This empress has a hundred year ginseng. The imperial tutor should take it.”

Imperial Noble Consort Xuan hesitated, then said, “Grandfather’s just aging. Although he isn’t feeling well, ginseng isn’t need. However, many thanks for your offer, Your Imperial Highness.”

Ning Shu didn’t mind Imperial Noble Consort Xuan’s rejection since they would agree to her proposal sooner or later.

Ning Shu said, “Have him come in.”

Xiao Anzi walked in and bowed towards Ning Shu, then said, “Your Imperial Highness, Master told this servant to let Your Imperial Highness know that Your Imperial Highness will find something interesting tonight.”

“En, thank your master for this empress.” Ning Shu had Qing Zhu give him a few ingots of silver. Xiao Anzi accepted them, then bowed and left.

Qing Zhu asked Ning Shu, “Your Imperial Highness, what was Xiao Anzi talking about?”

“You’ll know tonight.” Ning Shu already had a guess.

After a moment of thought, she said, “Invite Imperial Noble Consort Xuan over.”

“Understood.”
