Chapter 154: Pretending To Be Severely Sick
Substitute Bride Phoenix, The Tyrant's Pampered Demon Empress
Lian Jiuhua rushed in, and when he saw a deathly pale Han Moze lying in Liu Rushuangâs arms, he immediately cried. âLittle brother, little brother! You mustnât die! If you die, my dad will definitely kill me!â
Liu Rushuang felt Han Mozeâs body get even more ice-cold; waves of coldness enveloped his entire body.
How could this be?
Han Moze, I often used to want to kill you!
But now... seeing that you were really going to die soon, my heart felt like it was struck by arrows. It hurt so much!
A doctor with a long white beard quickly rushed in. After he checked Han Mozeâs condition, his brows locked tightly.
âIâm afraid this gentleman has only a month left to live! The blood clot in his body is simply too severe on his heart, so he canât use his inner strength in the future. If he does, heâll definitely die without a doubt.â
Standing in front of his bed, Liu Rushuangâs face also turned pale.
Only a month left to live?
âYoung Miss!â cried QingâEr worriedly, as she supported Liu Rushuang by the arm.
All of a sudden, Lian Jiuhua glared furiously at Liu Rushuang. âItâs all your fault! If it werenât for you, nothing would happen to my little brother! Didnât you always want to leave? You can leave now!â
Han Moxi rushed in. When he saw Han Moze unconscious on the bed, he suddenly shrieked, âW-what... happened to my big brother?â
Lian Jiuhua pointed at Liu Rushuang and angrily cried, âItâs all because of that woman! To save her, he got hit in the chest with a palm attack. Now... Iâm afraid he only has a month left to live. Wahhh wahhh...â
Han Moxiâs eyes shot wide open, and he couldnât help but stumble two steps back.
When he saw how devastated Liu Rushuang and QingâEr was, he just couldnât get angry at them.
But what about his royal brother?
Lian Jiuhua sprawled over Han Mozeâs body and cried, âLittle brother, wake up! I didnât protect you well! Itâs my fault. Wahhh wahhh...â
Han Mozeâs eyes quivered, then slowly opened. When he heard the sound of Lian Jiuhua crying, he said with a sandy hoarse voice, âIâm not dead yet. What are you crying about?â
Lian Jiuhua suddenly grabbed onto the sheets over Han Moze and cried in anguish. âLittle brother, kill me! I didnât protect you well, so you had to suffer such a serious blow!â
Han Moze furrowed his brows tightly in pain. His incredibly handsome face looked pale and weak in that very moment. âTake me back tot he palace!â He said quietly.
âYes, little brother. Iâll take you back!â replied Lian Jiuhua hurriedly.
Han Mozeâs lips were white. At just a glance, it was obvious he had lost too much blood.
Then, he looked up at Liu Rushuang and flatly said, âShuangâEr, leave. I wonât hold you back anymore, although I really want you by my side for my final month on earth.ân/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Liu Rushuangâs eyes were so red, she looked like she was being abandoned.
âIâll stay by with you for a month. I hope you donât find me annoying,â she said solemnly as she looked at Han Moze.
Han Moze forced a smile. âHow could I ever find you annoying?â
Back in the palace, Han Moze kept everyone in the dark about his severe illness.
Seeing that Liu Rushuang was about to leave, Han Moze laid weakly in bed and spoke with a hoarse voice. âI donât want other people to wait on me, so... so do you mind taking care of me for a month? Iâll give you whatever you want.â
Liu Rushuang wanted to leave, but suddenly halted. She shut her eyes and flatly said, âIâll stay. You donât need to reward me or anything. Iâll come take care of you tomorrow morning.â
Why did her heart ache so much?
Had she fallen in love with that tyrant?
How could this be?
With that said, she walked over in sorrow.
Her footsteps were heavy!
Seeing Liu Rushuang walk away, Lian Jiuhua emerged from the shadows and walked over to the bed.
âYour majesty, quit pretending. Ever since you were little, you would heal yourself no matter how severe the injury, so Iâm certain youâre pretending to be sick right now. But I guess, itâs all to get her majesty to stay...â he said with a smile.
Han Moze has been resilient since he were young, and so he was sure Han Moze was just fine!
