Chapter 212: Day to Bid Farewell
Substitute Bride Phoenix, The Tyrant's Pampered Demon Empress
Wuxin stood respectfully aside, wishing he could quickly run away, as he felt he was unnecessary.
Han Moze shot Wuxin a look, which made his body tense up, then flatly said, âYou may leave. If there you get any news, quickly report back.â
âYes, Your Majesty.â Wuxin clenched his hands, forced himself to calmly turn and walk off with a rattled look upon his stern face. The emperor was as sweet as can be with the empress, but when he had to face him, he didnât conceal his ruthless nature in the slightest. Wuxin was truly afraid.
Han Moze watched as Wuxin walked out, then turned his head and looked at Liu Rushuang with extreme gentleness.
âShuangâer, weâll go after we get married,â he said with a smile and face filled with love and affection.
âYes,â replied Liu Rushuang with a grin and nod.
Three days later, Han Moze, Liu Rushuang, Lian Jiuhua, Piao Piao, Han Moxi, and Qingâer rode a horse to explore the suburbs.
Qingâer wore a pink dress and her cute face no longer looked pure and cheerful, as she rode the horse with slightly furrowed brows. She glanced over at Liu Rushuang with a serious look on her face and asked, âYoung Miss, I also want to go to White Cloud City with you.â
Liu Rushuang grinned. âQingâer, drop it. I wonât take you. The journey is long, and Ze and my identities are special, so weâll most likely get ambushed. When that time comes...â
âYoung Miss, say no more. I wonât go,â interrupted Qingâer, as her face dropped.
Liu Rushuang reached her hand out to grab Qingâerâs little hand. âWait until your legâs better. I definitely wonât leave you behind again,â she said with a kind voice.
Qingâer forced a smile and nodded. She knew it was indeed not very convenient to go with the Young Miss in her current condition.
Liu Rushuang let out a discreet sigh. She always treated Qingâer like a little sister, because for the past six years, Qingâer was the only one who stayed by her side. Qingâer had already become someone who she couldnât live without in life, so she felt horrible when she saw just how disappointed Qingâer was.
Han Moxi glanced over at the gloomy Qingâer with a caring and gentle look on his face, as he silently rode his horse beside Qingâer.
All of sudden, Qingâer looked up and smiled brightly at Liu Rushuang. âYoung Miss, thereâs a river up ahead with all different kinds of pretty little fish. Letâs go take a look.â
âSure. Letâs go take a look,â Liu Rushuang nodded with a smile on her lips.
Lian Jiuhua glanced at Han Moze with the same smile and said, âLittle brother, Iâm not going.â
âYou must go,â Han Moze grunted coldly.
Lian Jiuhua let out a discreet sigh, as his eyes lingered affectionately upon Piao Piao who rode in front of him.
Han Moze shot Lian Jiuhua a cold glance and slightly grinned. âWell you donât have to go, but youâll have to quit being a shadow guard.â
Lian Jiuhua couldnât help but purse the corner of his lips. âLittle brother, fine Iâll go.â Deep down inside, he cursed Han Moze for taking the law onto himself, for being evil from the core, and for being empathizing.
âItâs for your own good. Isnât there a saying that goes âlove grows fonder with distanceâ? Whoâs to say that you and Piao Piao will get closer after a short break,â He said chillingly.
Lian Jiuhua secretly stuck his tongue out. Heâs evil and yet he tried to find an excuse. Lian Jiuhua had always known his little brother was more shameless than he was. Having grown up together, he knew his nature full and well, and so he let out a soft grunt, then rode forward on his horse.
Han Moze stared at Lian Jiuhuaâs back and smiled.
Then, Han Moze rode his horse to Han Moxiâs side and let out a faint smile. âIâll leave matters at the Capital with you now, royal brother.â
