Chapter 88: Insufferably Arrogant
Substitute Bride Phoenix, The Tyrant's Pampered Demon Empress
Nangong Ba heard the commotion outside earlier, so he just picked up his teacup and took a casual sip. âGo invite that lady in,â he said with a more melodic voice than the Guqin[1].
âYes,â replied Xialan.
Xialan stepped outside and caught up to Liu Rushuang, who was just about to step into the room. Then, she reached her arm out to block her path and said, âMy master would like to meet you.â
Liu Rushuang grinned. She wanted to see who was so condescending, so she turned her heels and followed Xialan.
QingâEr blinked with distrust. Who could be rich enough to reserve the fourth floor? I also really wanted to meet this person! She thought, smiling as she followed from behind.
Liu Rushuang followed Xialan into a room, where she immediately saw a man sitting at the table. However, he had his head slightly lowered, so she couldnât quite see their face.
Liu Rushuang and QingâEr drew a few steps closer.
Nangong Ba took a sip of tea with a silent grin, then looked up at the person who dared cross him.
Liu Rushuang was stunned when she saw Nangong Ba. This was the first time she saw such an incredibly beautiful man.
QingâEr couldnât help but become love-struck with the beige glow of his exposed chest. Every part of his skin looked elegant. Also, that face! He had a perfect oval face, long sharp eyebrows, and beautiful long, narrow eyes that looked flawlessly drawn on. His nose bridge was tall, he had slightly thin lips at an alluring angle, and his hair was all tied high up with a silky, top-quality ribbon. He had side swept bangs which covered the right side of his face and fell to his neck.
Thinking back to when she last met Han Moze, QingâEr suddenly envied how lucky Liu Rushuang was to meet handsome men.
One canât blame QingâEr for being infatuated. Anyone who saw that mighty, bold body and that perfect, picturesque face would be envious.
Liu Rushuang was also astonished, but just for a second. So what if he was incredibly handsome? That had nothing to do with her! And so, she immediately asked, âMister, I wonder why you have requested a meeting with me?ân/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Nangong Ba knocked the table and loudly asked, âMiss, donât you know who I am?â
âNo,â answered Liu Rushuang flatly without the slightest hint of hesitation.
Nangong Baâs face tensed up. Perhaps this womanâs not from Beiming?
âMiss, do you know whoâs the master of Wulin?â He continued to ask.
âYes. I hear itâs still the top business man of Beiming,â Liu Rushuang flatly answered.
Nangong Ba stared at the girl who didnât seem infatuated with him. Then, grinned and loudly cried, âI am the master of Wulin.â
QingâErâs eyes suddenly shot wide open. She never imagined that the master of Wulin was so young.
Liu Rushuang didnât change the look on her face, but coldly replied, âAnd so what? If you have no business with me, than I shall take my leave now.â
The expression on Nangong Baâs face fell, as he instantly couldnât keep up his sinister and proud demeanor. There was actually someone who looked down on him? He wanted to teach this woman a lesson! How couldnât he just let her leave?
âOf course, I have business with you. You injured my maid, so you should pay compensation. Also, I reserved the entire fourth floor. Miss, donât tell me that you donât understand the concept of âfirst come first servedâ?â He exclaimed.
âThatâs because your maid deserved it. Who told her to contest me? Besides, there are many empty rooms on the fourth floor. If you donât use them, then why wonât you let other people use them?â said Liu Rushuang coldly.
Nangong Ba grinned an incredibly beautiful smile, then bluntly exclaimed, âThatâs right, I wonât allow it. I am noble and have the wealth of a nation. I absolutely have the right to do what I want. I am unwilling to share this floor with others. Iâm just not willing to do so, and what can you do about that?â
Liu Rushuangâs eyes burned with flames of fury. âYou are truly insufferably arrogant! I donât want to speak another word with someone like you. Iâm leaving and thatâs that!â She shrieked.
