Chapter 144
Rebirth of the Wife in Despair
Chapter 144 No One Else But Me
Around half past seven in the evening, Jasper left the hospital.
Seeing the rare smile on Jasperâs face, Fabian guessed that he must have had a pleasant
conversation with Eileen.
No medication Mr. Smith is taking can bring a smile to Ms. Eileenâs face. This is also beneficial as it
allows Mr. Smith to move on from that woman.
Jasper pulled out a few painkillers from his pocket and swallowed them. The weather had been cold
the past few days, causing his legs to act up from time to time.
âTell Richard to prepare a room in the Smith residence and ensure that all the designs meet her
preferences!â
Fabian exclaimed in surprise, âMs. Eileen is moving into the Smith residence? How are we going to
explain it to Old Mrs. Smith?â
Jasper replied, âI will discuss it with her. Now, letâs drive. Weâre going back to the office!â
âYes, Mr. Smith!â
Indeed, Ms. Eileen leaving the Swan family is good for Mr. Smith.
Despite the humiliation of his younger sister, Eric stood by, refusing to help. Moreover, he was exposed
in front of everyone. I canât believe how heartless he is. Will has indeed raised a heartless person.
However, how would Will handle these matters upon his return? How would he deal with the son he
has painstakingly raised all these years?
At the hospital, Eileen sat quietly on the bed, gazing at the night view outside the floor-to- ceiling
window. The lights reflected in her eyes as she deep in thought.
She didnât know whether what she was doing was right or wrong.
With every step she took, she was walking on a knifeâs edge, where the slightest misstep could lead to
her downfall.
Eric, Iâm leaving. You can finally get what youâve always wanted!
It was nearly ten oâclock when Eileen finally went to bed.
In the pitch-black room, a dark figure stepped in. The manâs gaze was deep and mysterious, watching
Eileen sleep soundly on the bed.
âWho else came today besides Gavin?â

Sharon replied, âA gentleman by the name of Smith came to visit Ms. Eileen. They had a private
conversation in the room Iâm not sure what they discussed, but after the gentleman. lett. Fileen just sat
on the bed, lost in thought. He also mentioned that he has resolved the isste at school. By next week,
Eileen will be able to return to school.â
A turbulent rage suddenly ignited in Ericâs eyes.
A long while passed before he spoke again. âWhat did the doctor say about her illness?â
Sharon replied, âShe can be discharged tomorrow. However, it will take another two or three days for
her symptoms to subside.â
âMm-hmm.â
Eric waved his hand, and Sharon left quietly.
Eileen felt an itch on her face. She was in a deep sleep, having suffered from an unbearable. itch all
over her body the previous night that kept her from sleeping well. She swatte i at whatever was on her
face, turned over, and immediately fell back asleep.
As there was a large space on the bed, Eric took off his shoes, lifted the quilt, and lay down. next to
her, following the contour of her body from behind. Underneath the blanket, there was a sweet
fragrance emanating from her apart from the scent of the ointment.
Eric closed his eyes, taking a short rest. He thought he would fall asleep quickly, but surprisingly, his
mind was incredibly alert.
Within him, there had always been a dark beast, unseen by the light and firmly bound by iron chains.
If it ever broke free from its shackles, he would cross the threshold.
Thus, he had no other choice but to suppress it. Yet he didnât know how much longer he could hold on.
As he breathed in Eileenâs delicate scent, he pictured the alluring silhouette of her slender body in the
bathroom, where drops of water flowed down her exquisite curves.
Right then, Eric was lost in his impure fantasies,
Unbuckling the belt around his waist, he pressed against her delicate body, his hand slowly. reaching
down belowâ¦
With his other hand, he gently lifted her thin hospital gown, his palm touching her skin.
Inside the quiet and pitch-black room, Ericâs husky and labored breathing filled the air.

wash and half an hour later that he finally let out a sigh
After a short break, he withdrew Ins hand and pulled out a few tissues from the bedside.
The next day. Fileen slept until she naturally woke up
The first thing she did was roll up her sleeve to find that the red spots had significantly faded
When she sat up, she realized that her waist wahore
Supporting her waist, she rubbed it a bit, feeling slight pain in her skin.
Upon lifting her gown to take a look, she saw a few red marks on one side of her waist.
There was also a strange smell lingering in the quilt.
Eileen furrowed her brows. âWhy does this smell so familiarâ¦
Having experienced marital intimacy, there was no way she wouldnât recognize the scent.
But how can this be possible, Iâve been alone the entire time. No one came last night either.
A jolt shot through Eileenâs mind, and she was suddenly struck by a terrifying thought that
stunned her.
Just then, Sharon came in, holding a bouquet of flowers.
She then filled the vase with water.
Eileen probed, âSharon, did my brother come by last night?â
Sharon replied, âMr. Snow did come by, but he only stayed for a few minutes. He glanced at you and
then left.â
Is that so?
Suddenly, Eileen began to doubt herself. She held her forehead.
Am I overthinking things? Perhaps itâs an issue with the blanket.
Eileen decided to cast the idea out of her mind.
Sharon added, âThe doctor will come for a check-up soon. If everything is fine, youâll be able
to be discharged from the hospital. Mr. Snow will be coming over soon.â
Eileen furrowed her brows. âWhy is he doing that?â

Sharon replied, âToday is the weekend, so he doesnât have to go to the office. Heâll be coming to pkk
you up from the hospitalâ
After arranging the flowers, Sharon came over. Holding Eileenâs hand, she said, âLast night. I made
some fresh ravioli dough, and the meat filling was also chopped this morning. I didnât ald any pepper
Would you like me to cook sore for your breakfast?â
Fileen said. Tim about to be released from the hospital, so why go through all the trouble? We can take
care of it once I get home.â
Sharon explained. âYour father hired me to take care of you, so naturally, I prioritize your preferences.
Vera might enjoy ravioli with pepper, but since you donât like it, I wonât include
it
In reality. Eileen was upset. Sharon had been with her since childhood, and she didnât want Sharon to
take care of anyone else but her.
That was the reason for her jealousy.
Eileen stepped forward and hugged Sharon tightly. âYou must not treat others better than me. You can
only be a little kinder to others.â
With a smile, Sharon patted her on the back. âYou silly girl, how can you compare yourself to others?
Youâre the daughter of the Swan family. Everything I do is in your best interest.â
âEileen!â
Veraâs voice suddenly rang out.
Eileen looked towards the door, unaware of when they had arrived.
Vera followed closely beside Eric, dressed in a Blake coat and a grey scarf, which seemed to match
Ericâs black one.
She was also holding a bunch of sunflowers.
Vera walked over. âAre you feeling better now?â
Eileen nodded, breaking into a slight smile. âMuch better. Thank you for your concern.â
Vera said, âEileen, I have some good news to share with you.
Eileen asked, âWhat is it?â
Vera was joyfully laughing. âWe can be classmates again in the future! The final exam results for this
term are out, and I made it into Class One. Given how well I did, youâll need to work even harder.â

Eileen uncerely said âCongratulations!â
All credit goes to Eric. If he hadnât correctly guessed the questions and tutored me. I wouldnât have had
a chance!â Vera gratefully glanced at Eric who was standing by her side.
âMs. Eileen!â
It was Richard.
Besides him, there was also a group of bodyguards behind him.
Ignoring the others, Richard walked up to Eileen. He clasped his hands and placed them. respectfully
in front of himself.
âThe discharge procedures have been completed, you can leave the hospital at any time!â
