Chapter 211
Rebirth of the Wife in Despair
Chapter 211 Everyone Doesnât Have To Come
Eileen remained oblivious to the fact that Jasper had nearly driven himself insane searching. for her,
turning the entire Hulbury upside down in the process.
The first rays of dawn streamed through the window, casting light on the quiet, dilapidated buildings
lining the street below. Vendors had already begun setting up their shops, and the enticing aroma of
food wafted over from nearby.
Suddenly, several luxurious and expensive cars disrupted the peaceful atmosphere. One by one, the
black sedans came to a stop in front of the apartment building.
Richard said, âMs. Eileen used to stay here for a while when she left home before. I believe she should
be here.â
Jasper hadnât slept a wink all night. He couldnât wait to get out of the car. As he looked at the extremely
run-down housing environment around him, his brows furrowed deeply. How could she live in a place
like this?
The stairs on the platform were constantly shedding dust, giving the impression that the entire building
trembled with the slightest step.
This dwelling could already be considered a hazardous building, yet people were still living
in it.
Emerging from the bathroom, Eileen dried her hair and casually removed the soiled sofa cover from the
previous night. She tossed it into the basin to be cleaned.
It must have been the cold from yesterday that caused the splitting headache. Despite the incident that
occurred last night, Eileen didnât pay much attention to it and quickly fell back asleep.
She woke up that morning with a stuffy nose.
Ever since the surgery, Eileen felt that her physical condition wasnât as good as before.
Just then, she heard a loud, persistent knocking at the door.
Eileen didnât know who it was, so she walked over and opened it
Before Eileen could reart to the person at the door, she was suddenly tightly embraced Laleen patted
his shoulder Jasper, youâre hurting me! Why are you here?â
When Jasper saw her he felt as if he had regained something precious that he had lost Tim sorryâ
Eileen was a bit puzzled by his words. Looking at the others who had arrived at the same time, namely
Fabian and Richard, she thought to herself, Does everyone really need to come
here?
After a long while, Jasper finally let her go.
Eileen fetched a new set of sofa covers, and everyone took a seat on the sofa. She poured a cup
of freshly boiled water for Jasper and placed it on the coffee table in front of him. Then, she sat down
across from him and said, âIâm sorry for making you all worry. I left school late yesterday, and it was a
bit troublesome to go home. So, I thought Iâd stay here for the night. Jasper, didnât you receive the
message I sent you?â
Jasperâs eyebrows furrowed slightly. He wasnât in the habit of checking his messages. Ever since they
got together, Jasperâs messages and calls had been frequent. However, he indeed hadnât received a
single message from her the night before.
Lost in thought, Jasper pinched the bridge of his nose. He was at a loss for words, his tone. betraying
his confusion.
Fabian suddenly interjected, âMr. Smithâs phone fell last night, so he might have missed some
messages, including yours, Ms. Eileen. However, when he tried to call you back, your phone was
switched off.â
Eileen clutched her nightgown tightly, lowering her head. She had always been someone who didnât
want to cause trouble for others. Seeing Jasperâs bloodshot eyes, she felt a pang of guilt in her heart.
âIâm so sorry! I didnât mean to worry you, I⦠I really am sorry for keeping you up all night. Iâm okay now.
You should hurry back and get some rest.â
At that moment, Eileenâs phone, which was placed on the table, began to ring. The name flashing on
the screen was Will.
Eileen quickly grabbed her phone. âIâm going to the balcony to take the call.
Jasper watched as she stood up and walked away. He was a possessive man. What he wanted from
her was not just her true feelings, but every part of her.
When it came to the phone call, he even wished for her to answer it in front of him.
He wanted to know every thing about her
After finishing her phone call, Eileen returned to find that Fabian and Richard had already left Now it
was just the two of them in the cramped room
Noticing that her complexion wasnât quite right. Jasper asked Is something wrongâ
21
Eileen vaguely replied, âItâs nothing much. My father was asking about last nightâs events. Itâs
all settled now.â
In fact, she had received an earful from Will.
Anyone who had been scolded wouldnât have a pleasant expression.
Eileen suggested, âHey, Iâve made some oatmeal. Would you like to have some with me? Thereâs still
plenty of time. After eating, you can go back to sleep.â
Jasper looked deeply into her eyes. âAlright.â
After breakfast, she led him to her room.
She had tidied it up neatly, and the large doll on the bed was quite eye-catching.
Eileen had prepared a quilt for him. âThis place isnât as comfortable as your home, so please bear with
it.â
Jasper asked, âWhile Iâm sleeping, what are you going to do?â
Eileen replied, âThere are still two hours left. Iâve already woken up. Iâll tidy up and go outside to do my
homework, so I wonât disturb you.â
Jasper grabbed her hand. âStay with me for a while.â
Their eyes met, and although Eileen initially wanted to refuse, the thought that he had been searching
for her all night caused her to give in and agree.
The two of them slept fully clothed, with Eileenâs back facing him. He then spooned his warm body
against hers. She remained motionless, like a soft human-shaped doll.
Only after turning off the alarm for the third time did Eileen carefully get up. Seeing that he was still
sound asleep, she quietly put on her shoes and prepared to leave. Suddenly, a phone on the desk
started to vibrate. But it wasnât hers. It was Jasperâs.
The name flashing on the incoming call was Nancy.
This name sounded familiar, but Eileen couldnât recall where she had heard it before.
She initially wanted to turn off the phone to prevent it from disturbing his sleep. But after some thought,
she decided against it and took his phone outside.
She hurriedly walked out and upon reaching the entrance, she spotted Fabuan sitting on the couch.
Noticing ideenâs emergence, Fabian stood up âMs Fileen His eyes then landed on the mobile phone
she was clutching
Eileen nodded, gesturing towards the closed door. She spoke softly, âHeâs still asleep. Someone called
just now. I took the call outside to avoid disturbing him. Could you check if itâs an important call?â
Fabian took the phone. âActually, you could have answered it.â
Eileen didnât say much. She glanced at the time and said, âIâm heading to class now.â
Fabian offered, âLet me accompany you!â
âNo need. Iâll be there in a few minutes on foot. You stay here and take care of him. You didnât get much
rest last night, so you can lie down here for a while. Iâm afraid youâll have to make do with the couch
though.â
Fabian nodded. âDonât worry about it.â
As Eileen departed, Fabian looked at the incoming call again, his brows deeply furrowed.
This woman has truly sunk to the lowest of lows. Even after deleting the message Ms. Eileen sent to
Mr. Smith, she can still call him as if nothing happened.
