Chapter 14

Dante's pov

"All set?" Dad asked for the fifth time making me roll my eyes in sarcasm.

"Dad, stop being annoying. Everything is good. I have checked all the documents and our presentation thrice. Stop worrying now. This time we will get this project for sure" I said trying to soothe my dad.

"Yes dad, don't worry. Everything will be good. We have worked hard and I have faith in our work" Ashton said in my support.

"I know boys but everytime we work our ass of for this project and we ended up not getting it. Last year we were also ready but one of our employee backstabbed us and gave our confidential information to our competitor and they got the project. I just hope this time nothing goes wrong" Dad sighed looking worried.

"Don't worry dad. Everything will be good this time" I sighed comforting him.

After Crystal joined our office today we all left to attend an important meeting. Every year the biggest entrepreneur of this country held a meeting in which he gives the most biggest project to one of the businessman.

But the biggest problem is that it's too hard to convince him and every year best businessmens got the invitation and one of them gets the project.

We all work hard to get this one project as this is the most profitable one. But the competition is way too high. It's difficult to win against them.

In all these years we hardly got this project for three times and that too in a long gap. Last year we could have won but couldn't cause of the one backstabbing employee.

As of now we were waiting for the meeting to start. Our wait ended as Mr Jonathan entered the next moment.

Time skip.

After four and half hours of meeting the winner was decided.

Guess who? Us. We got the project. We fuCking got the project. We.

Me, Ashton and dad shared a group hug in happiness. Later we all thanked Mr Jonathan for the opportunity. Other businessmen starts congratulated us with fake smile and some with genuine smile.

Coming out of the meeting room dad called mom to give her the news.

"Honey, we got the project" Dad yelled in happiness causing me and Ashton to laugh. But soon I narrowed my gaze at Ashton as he was filming the moment in his phone.

Did I ever told you that Ashton loves filming memorable moments so that he and us can cherish the moment forever.

"Oh my god, congratulations Simon. I knew you will get the project this year. You all worked hard for this project" Mom said in happiness.

"Yeah. God was in our favour this year" Dad laughed and mom laughed too.

"Not just this year but god has been in our favour since forever. It just nowadays he is giving us back to back happiness. First that our contract with Kingsleys got dismissed than my Dante got saved from marrying that bitch instead he got married to Crystal and now you guys got the project" Mom said and I felt a strange feeling in my chest.

"And....oh my god" Mom stopped suddenly thus we all looked at each other in confusion.

"What happened mom?" Ashton asked still recording.

"I just realised that how lucky Crystal is for us. Because of her we got free from Kingsleys. After her arrival in your office you guys got this important project and for the very first time this year, I have gained 45% more profit in my clothing brand in compare to other years just after her arrival" Mom said shockingly and dad nodded.

"Well I don't want to believe this but seems like you're right. Crystal is indeed a good luck for us" Dad said with a small smile and I feel like smiling too but I didn't.

But inside I really felt happy seeing my family is liking Crystal. And yes I have no idea that why I'm happy that my family is liking Crystal.

"From Crystal I remember, is she back?" Ashton asked to which mom hummed.

"Yeah just few minutes back she arrived. And let me tell you that she was looking tired. Ask Kevin to give her little less work. She is in college and she must have a lot of studying pressure. She needs little break too" Mom said and dad shook his head.

"You're talking about break? Kevin informed me that Crystal is really fast and efficient in work. Not just her assigned work but she helped Kevin with his work too. Infact she was asking for more work" Dad said and me and Ashton widened our eyes in shock.

This girl....

"What? Really?" Mom asked shockingly.

"Yep. Before calling you, I checked Kevin's message and than I got to know about this. Crystal is something else. She is unique. Different" Dad laughed.

"Indeed" Me and mom said at the same time. Dad looked at me with narrowed eyes to which I looked away from him.

When I looked at Ashton, he was smirking at me.

Asshole.

Ignoring him I decided to concentrate on mom's phone.

"Okay, enough talks now. Come back soon. I'm waiting" Mom said and disconnected the phone next moment without waiting for our response causing dad to laugh at her child like behavior.

"Let's go. Our boss want us home asap" Dad said laughing and we all start walking towards the elevator.

Time skip.

Reaching our mansion, dad and Ashton starts walking inside but I stopped as I was attending a business call.

After few minutes I was done so I decided to go inside. When I was walking inside I heard someone giggling but next moment the voice stopped. I again start walking inside but again heard the giggling sound but this time I heard a bark sound too.

It must be Bruno. Mom's pet dog. But hey, dogs don't giggles, do they?

Who is with Bruno. This giggle was definitely not mom's.

Curiously I start following the voice which was coming from backyard. Reaching their I saw the most adorable sight ever.

Crystal was cuddling with Bruno and Bruno was licking her face for which Crystal was giggling.

For few minutes I keep on watching them playing together.

They both are adorable.

After getting enough of sightseeing I decided to interrupt them.

"Hey Bruno" I yelled in playful voice. Listening my voice Bruno comes running to me. I quickly took him in my arms and cuddles with him just like Crystal.

I looked at Crystal to see that she was looking at me angrily.

Why is she angry? Because I interrupt her play with Bruno?

Not convinced with my own answer I decided to ask her.

"What happened? Why are you looking so happy?" I teased, walking towards her. She stood up from the ground and kissed Bruno's furr.

"Bye cutie. We will play tomorrow as Dante Arrogant Knight came in between us" She said and start walking away from me.

Huh? Why is she calling me arrogant now? I didn't do anything.

Thinking for a while I realised that she must be angry cause of the chit. I laughed before following her inside along with Bruno.

I looked at her face and she was looking at me with side eyes. I chuckled at her.

"Look straight or else you will fall again" I said and she twisted her lips angrily. I laughed at her behavior.

She's cute.

When we were inside the mansion I left Bruno on floor and start clapping and Crystal looked at me in confusion.

"Why are you clapping suddenly? What happened?" She asked and I smirked knowing that she will definitely ask this question but won't like the answer.

"You didn't fall while walking. That's something new. You are finally developing physically" I said and she opens her mouth in shock at my statement.

I laughed at her expressions as she kept looking at me with wide eyes and shocked face.

Oh how much I love messing with her.
