Chapter 28

Crystal's pov

After spending some more time in hospital I was finally getting discharged. I did a happy dance in my mind for that.

Soon Dante came with my discharge papers and passed a smile at my way to which I smiled back at him.

Later we both made our way towards the entrance but to our bad luck some paparazzi were roaming around.

Dante and I groaned looking at them and decided to wait for Dante's bodyguards to arrive. Soon his bodyguard came and covered us. In the meantime, Dante gave me a hoodie and a mask and asked me to cover my face properly. I nodded and wore them.

When I covered myself properly I looked at Dante for his approval.

"You're looking like a robber" Dante said looking at me causing me to slap his arm to which he just laughed at me.

"No seriously, it looks like you're gonna rob someone with this mask" He said laughing.

"Stop laughing or else I'll remove it" I said angrily to which he raised his hands in surrender.

"Let's leave" I said annoyingly as he was not moving to which he laughed at me again and nodded.

Soon we were in the back side of hospital as Dante said that place wasn't much crowded and paparazzi won't be there so we can leave easily but to our bad luck again, as soon as we exited the hospital door, tons of paparazzi surrounded us.

Dante's bodyguard kept pushing them in order to make way for us. When we were walking towards the car I saw a lot of them were screaming Dante's name and were yelling at me for wearing a mask. Almost all of them were trying to push their camera in front of me.

Getting scared from all these things I clutched Dante's hand tightly. Soon Dante pulled me towards himself and almost hugged me when we were walking. I quickly hid my face in Dante's chest.

Why have you filed case against Miss Maddison Kingsley?

Why Maddison got arrested today?

I cringed after listening their accusations. They are way to mean. But what caught my attention was Maddison being arrested.

I didn't know why but this made me little happy that Maddison got what she deserved but I was little scared too.

When we were almost near the car, few paparazzi manages to push a bodyguard away who was behind me. They almost caught me and forced the camera in my face.

"Aah" I yelled suddenly as their grip was kinda tight which made Dante furious. He literally pushed them away from me.

"How dare you?" He yelled at them and was about to punch one of them but I caught him. Soon the other bodygaurd's came towards us and again surrounded us.

"Are you ok?" Dante whispered in my ear to which I nodded as I was not in the condition to form words. I was really scared.

Soon we reached to our car. Dante literally pushed me inside the car and he too sat asap and locked the car door. His one bodyguard took the driving seat and another one settled himself in passenger seat while others settled themselves in other cars and soon we drove away from the hospital.

"Are you really okay Crystal?" Dante asked and I nodded a little.

I removed my mask and sighed in relief once I realised that now I'm free from those paparazzi and their cameras.

"Yes, I'm okay. I was just scared. They were scary" I said to which he nodded.

"I understand. Sometimes these paparazzi can be really scary" He said and passed me a water bottle as I was huffing a little.

I smiled gratefully at him and drank the water. Suddenly I realised about Maddison.

I turned to look at him but he was looking outside the window.

"Uh.. Dante" I called his name to which he looked at me.

"I want to ask you something" I said and he nodded.

"Is Maddison really arrested?" I asked after taking a deep breath.

"Yes, she is" He said truthfully.

"But why?" I asked softly.

"You know the reason, don't you?" He said to which I nodded a little.

"Yes but you didn't had to-"

"No Crystal, please. What Maddison did today was wrong. I have forgiven her a lot of times but now I can't. Today she literally killed you. Because of her you were in hospital and this is not a small thing and definitely not something which needed to be forgiven or forgotten. She deserves to get punished for her actions and she needed public humiliation too which she and her family got today" He said angrily.

"But what if her grandfather gets more angry?" I asked softly.

Not gonna lie but I'm really scared of Ethan. That man screams danger.

"Don't worry about him. He won't be able to harm you. And from now onwards, saving his small company would be his first priority. He won't get enough time to plan something against you" He said with a assuring smile.

"But about the complain? Did you revealed my name?" I asked to which he shook his head.

"Don't worry, they will not reveal your identify. You are safe, okay" He said to which I nodded but still something was bothering me.

"Crystal, stop your overthinking. Nothing bad will happen" He said to which I looked at him.

"But what about hospital staffs? What if they reveal my identify?" I asked to which he sighed and grasped my palm in his.

"Crystal don't worry, okay. Dad has taken care of that. The head of the hospital is my dad's friend and he has assured that he won't reveal your identify neither he will let anyone reveal it, so you're safe, okay" He asked and I looked at him with a smile.

"I'll take your smile as a yes" He said to which I smiled brightly at him.

Later I tried to free my hand from his grasp but he tightened his hold. I blushed at his act looked away in order to hide my pink cheeks.

Soon we reached Knight mansion. When we entered inside, everyone came to me and gave me a warm hug. I smiled at them. They are indeed the best.

Soon we had our dinner and during that time they kept cracking jokes to make me feel better also they kept asking me if I was okay or if I was in pain.

After my dinner, mrs knight forced me to take my medicines and ordered me to sleep as she knew I don't sleep early. Also she asked me to skip my college and office for few days which I gladly accepted as I really wanted a break.

After changing my clothes I decided to sleep but I heard a ding in my phone. I checked it and found Ashely's message.

Maddison obsessed.

I rolled my eyes at that and checked her message. She was asking me to hangout with her tomorrow. Huh!

Now when I know that she is Maddison's obsessed fan and hates Dante's wife which is me, I would never ever talk to her again. She is a psycho and I would always maintain a long distance with her starting from now only.

When I was thinking all this someone tapped my back from behind. Scared I turned to see that it was Dante. He was smirking looking at my scared face. Moron.

"What the hell Dante? You scared me" I said to which his smirk widened in pride.

"Really Dante?" I asked to which he laughed at me.

Shaking my head, I drank some water and looked at him angrily.

"You need to stop being annoying. Be a gentleman" I said crossing my arms across my chest.

"I'm a gentleman" He said proudly.

"Really? Scaring someone is not a gentleman thing, you know that, right?" I asked raising my brows at him to which he shrugged his shoulders.

"Relax I was just teasing you" He said and start roaming around my room.

"Um.. This isn't a park. Why are you roaming like that?" I said giving him a curious look to which he glared me and settled himself in my study chair.

"You speak a lot" He said suddenly and this time I glared him.

"Why are you here?" I asked annoyingly.

"I'm here to check on you" He said casually to which I gave him a weird look.

"Check on me? Dante I'm nineteen, not nine. You don't have to do that" I said to which he chuckled at me.

"I know. Mom told me to check on you before sleeping so I came here to see you" He said like a child.

I laughed at him and shook my head a little in amusement.

"Now you have seen me, right? Go and sleep. I'm also going to sleep now" I said to which he nodded and came to me.

When he was almost near me, he held my arm and pulled me closer towards himself.

Suddenly I felt my heart beating faster than usual. My entire body was shaking from the closeness and I felt goosebumps forming in my arms.

He slowly bought his hand close to my face and caressed my bandaged forehead a little.

"D-Dante" I whispered his name to which he looked in my eyes.

As soon as our eyes met, I felt hundred of butterflies dancing in my tummy.

"Are you for real?" He asked softly gazing at my eyes.

"D-Dante. Wh-what are you d-doing?" I asked getting scared as well as excited from our closeness.

"Nothing" Dante replied and suddenly I felt his face moving upward and soon he pressed his lips to my injured forehead. After few seconds, he pulled away from me and gave me a warm smile.

"Get well soon Crystal" He smiled and caressed his two fingers in my cheek and turned away to leave.

When he left the room I held my chest a little only to realise that my heart was beating rapidly.

"Dante" I muttered under my breath and tried to overcome my feelings. Once I felt that I was little okay, I closed the door and went towards the mirror only to see that my cheeks were red from the blush and soon a small smile appeared in my face and that was the moment I realised that I like Dante.

Sorry for the late update. I was really ill and was adviced to not use my phone for longer time.
