Chapter 42

Crystal's pov

As soon as Dante turned towards my father and his wife, they both became shocked.

"Mr knight?" Kate asked surprisingly looking at Dante and then at me.

"D-Dante knight? What is he doing here, Crystal?" My father asked widening his eyes in surprise.

My father and Kate were looking at me but my focus was on my husband who was getting angerier by each passing second.

I moved towards him and grabbed his palm in mine and caressed it. I know that my actions will definitely questioned by my father and Kate to me but I couldn't stop myself.

"Crystal, I'm asking you something" My father asked raising his voice at me.

"What is Mr knight doing here?" He asked looking at Dante with admiration.

"And why are you holding his hand?" Kate asked glaring me to which I rolled my eyes at her and kept caressing Dante's palm.

"Mr kni-"

"Who did this to you?" Dante cuts them in middle and turned towards me.

"Dante" I sighed sadly and looked away from him.

"Crystal, I'm asking you something" Dante said sternly to which I looked at him.

"My father" I said softly.

Dante became more furious and angrily freed himself from my grip and rushed towards my father.

"Dante, No" I yelled in fear when I saw Dante punching my father.

"What the hell! Leave him" Kate too yelled and tried to save my father from Dante.

"Martin" I cried looking at Martin who immediately went towards them and pulled Dante away from my father.

"Dante please don't do this" I said worriedly and hugged him.

"Yes, Mr knight leave him. I have already called the cops. They are coming. You don't have to dirty your hands" Martin said to which I broke the hug and looked at Martin in shock.

"Cops?" I and Kate both asked together.

"Yes. Cops" Martin said glaring at Kate and then my father.

"Dante, what's this?" I asked surprisingly.

"Martin called me when your neighbor informed you about them *pointing at Kate and father* and also when they suddenly came so I decided to involve the cops incase they shows their true colors which they did" Dante said glaring at them.

"Dante, it's ok. You don't have to-"

"No Crystal, No. It's not okay. It's not okay that everyone keeps hurting you in different ways. I have already kept patience in Ashely's case but not here. They will have to pay for their deeds" Dante said angrily.

"At first he abandoned you when you needed him the most. He never looked back at you. Never tried to contact you or anything. But now when he is in mess he want you to handover your granny's property to him. What a selfish bastard he is" Dante yelled shaking his head in disbelief.

"I would have tried to keep my calm but he fucking hit you and for that I'm not forgiving him. No" Dante said giving me a look which meant to not stop him.

I sighed sadly and rubbed my forehead in agony. I know Dante isn't wrong. Even I want to punish them but-but i-i don't know.

"Why do you fucking care?" Kate yelled angrily to which we both turned towards her.

Kate gave me a disgusted look and then looked at Dante in fury.

"Why does it matter to you? Why you are calling cops for her?" Kate asked again.

"That's none of your business" Dante said clenching his fists angrily.

For the matter of fact I know that Dante would have punched her too if she wasn't a woman.

"Of course it's my business. You first came in-between in our family matter and then punched my husband and have called cops. So, now you fucking have to give us the answers" Kate yelled like maniac.

"Exactly. How do you know my daughter and why are you involving yourself in our family matter" My father asked wiping his lips where Dante has punched him.

"Who is she to you?" Kate asked angrily but suddenly she widened her eyes in shock and then she suddenly smirked.

I bet she's gonna say something shitty.

"Your mistress?" Kate asked with a smirk.

Told you. I'm not even surprised now.

"Watch your tongue" Dante snapped at her to which she smirked more evily.

"Why? Truth hurts? She is your mistress isn't she?" She asked mockingly.

"Does she warm your bed everyday? Is she good?" Kate asked with a smirk.

"Don't try to be oversmart Kate. The thing is you won't be able to accept the truth so yeah we are not telling you anything and second thing is that you're not deserving enough to know the truth so I'm decently asking you to shut the fuck up" I said sternly and saw my father getting angry.

"And yes father, just because you slapped me unexpectedly, don't think that I'll be scared of you. For me, you'll always be a pathetic man who is good for nothing" I said with a tight smile.

"You-" With this my father rushed towards me but before he could have done something, Martin came in-between and punched him.

Honestly, I should have felt happy about that but surprisingly I wasn't happy. Not that I was sad or something but it just I wasn't happy seeing him getting hit by Dante or Martin.

"Fucking hell" My father cried holding his jaw.

Kate immediately rushed towards him and hugged him.

Soon cops arrived and directly came towards Dante.

"Mr knight" Senior inspector said shaking his hand with Dante.

"Mr Valdes" Dante said curtly and turned towards my father.

"This man Avan collins, first troubled Crystal for Crystal flat. He kept on abusing and threatening Crystal for her granny's house and when Crystal refused to give him any rights, he manhandled and slapped her" Dante said furiously.

"Just take him in your custody and make sure he never comes out" Dante said sternly to which the inspector nodded.

"What the hell! You can't do this to him" Kate said glaring Dante.

"And why are you so quiet? Ask him to leave us alone" Kate came to me and shook my arm.

Dante immediately came to my side and freed me from Kate.

"Don't fucking touch her" Dante snapped at her.

"I'm talking to her you motherfucker" Kate yelled angrily.

"Kate. Just shut up. Don't abuse him or else-"

"Or else what?" Kate yelled cutting me in between.

"Or else you will have to join your husband in prison. Don't test me. You're in no position to abuse him or me" I said in a warning tone and saw her getting more furious but this time she didn't say anything.

"You both will regret this" My father yelled at us when an officer approached him with handcuffs.

"Trust me we won't but you will definitely regret raising your hand at her" Dante said coldly.

"Kate" My father called her in pain. Kate went towards him and cupped his face softly in both of her palms.

"Don't worry Avan. I'll do something. I'll not let them win" She said the last sentence angrily.

"I know you will do that Kate, I know" My father said lovingly.

I wish he would have loved my mom like this.

As soon as his gaze wandered at me, his eyes turned cold in anger.

"You are just like your mother. A fucking whore" He spat each words with so much of hate and venom.

"We both know that who really was a whore. Or I can say a manwhore" I snapped at him and saw him getting more pissed.

Later I turned towards the head inspector and nod at him.

"Make sure he doesn't escape the prison ever" I said greeting my teeth in anger.

He nodded at me and asked his officers to take my father away. The whole time my father was screaming and cursing me.

"You will regret this" I looked at Kate who was giving me a murderous look.

For almost a minute, she kept glaring at me and then she went away. I mentally slapped myself for coming here.

"Martin, leave us alone for a minute" Dante said sternly to which Martin nodded and left the place.

Now it's just me and Dante is in my flat. Slowly Dante came towards me and held my palm in his and made me sit on the nearby couch. He settled himself on the floor in front of me and cupped my cheeks softly.

"Are you okay?" He asked calmly to which I nodded.

"Crystal, I want an honest answer" He said sternly.

"I-I don't know" I sighed looking away from him.

"You know you can share everything with me, right?" He said raising his eyebrows to which I nodded.

"I don't know what I'm feeling right now" I said honestly to which he nodded.

"Are you upset with me that I punished your father?" He asked in the soft voice to which I instantly shook my head.

"No Dante, I'm not upset with you. It's just that I'm kind of shocked after whatever happened today. I don't know what to do or feel about that" I said softly to which he nodded.

"Crystal?" He called me after a few minutes to which I hummed.

"Are you in pain?" He asked after caressing my cheeks.

"Not anymore" I said with a small smile to which he looked unconvinced but still nodded.

"Do you want to leave?" He asked me to which I shook my head.

"Let's just stay here for sometime" I said to which he nodded.

I smiled at him and pulled him towards me on the couch and leaned my head on his shoulder. For some minutes we stayed in the same position but soon his phone starts ringing.

His dad.

They both talked for few minutes and later ended the call.

"Dante" I called his name to which he looked at me.

"Can you do me a favour?" I asked to which he raised his eyebrows at me.

"Please don't tell mom-dad anything about today's incident" I said to which he nodded.

I smiled and kissed his cheeks to which he shook his head at me but smiled too. Soon we both got up and decided to leave the place. While leaving I once again looked at my granny's apartment and smiled softly.

No matter what but I'll never give this apartment to those greedy peoples.
