Chapter 43

Crystal's pov

Just a few hours back, I was happy and was dreaming about my new life and now all of a sudden I feel like crying, all thanks to my father.

A few months back, my excuse of a father wanted nothing to do with me but now all of a sudden he is back and want me to give my granny's apartment to him.

The good thing is that he is in prison so he won't be able to harm me but the bad thing is, Kate. As much as I know Kate, I know she won't let this go easily. She will definitely do something to create problems for me.

Sighs.

How I wish I could erase some people's memories from my life but I know that's not possible.

Shaking my head at that I decided to sleep for sometime as my head was aching badly.

*Few hours later*

I woke up feeling someone caressing my cheeks lovingly. I smiled knowing exactly who is that person.

I slowly opened my eyes to see that Dante was sitting beside me and was caressing my cheeks softly.

"Hey" I said and blushed when he suddenly leaned towards me and kissed my forehead.

"How are you feeling now?" He asked taking my hand, helping me to sit straight.

"Much better" I smiled and pecked his cheek softly to which he passed me a smile and caressed my hairs a little.

His smile.

I looked at him lovingly when I remembered him taking stand for me against my father. He has always been like that. He always protects me from others.

Dante is the best thing happened to me. I'll always be grateful to him for coming in my life.

I still remember when I first saw him at the altar, I was mesmerized by his looks. He was looking like the most beautiful creation of the world and no doubt he is. He is the most handsome man of this world. And the best part is that he is all mine.

Just mine.

And his family too. They all are such sweethearts. Ever since I have been living here, not for once Dante or his family made me feel unwanted. They all welcomed me with open arms.

After granny's death, I never thought that I'll have my own family but thanks to Dante, now I have. And they all love me and care for me just like my granny used to do.

Now I can happily and proudly say that I have the world's best husband and family and I'll always grateful for this. I will never ever take them for granted. I promise to myself.

"Crystal? Crystal?" Dante suddenly clicked his fingers in front of me to which I looked at him.

"Where were you lost? I called your name so many times" He said to which I shook my head.

"Nowhere. Sorry" I said slowly.

"Were you thinking about today's incident?" He asked to which I immediately shook my head.

"No, I wasn't. I was thinking about something else" I said with a smile to which he nodded.

"Okay, so are you hungry?" He asked and at the same time my stomach growled in hunger to which he chuckled.

"I guess I got my answer. You go and get fresh, I'll get you some salads" He said to which I frowned.

"Why salads? Now I'm fine" I whined to which he showed me his tongue and left the room.

Idiot.

I huffed in annoyance and got off the bed and walked towards the washroom.

Once I was done with my business I came out of the washroom only to see Dante was sitting in the couch with.. um pizza boxes?

He is letting me eat pizza? Omg!

I grinned happily and rushed towards him and kissed his cheeks lovingly.

"Omg Dante. Thank you so much" I said pointing at the pizza boxes to which he smirked.

"A few minutes back you were whining and now all of a sudden you're happy?" He asked to which I shrugged my shoulders happily.

"Yes because you're letting me eat these stuffs" I said happily to which he narrowed his eyes at me.

I grinned and sat opposite to him and took one of the pizza box in my hand.

"Which one is that?" I asked to which his smirk widened.

Huh!

"Vegetables" He said with a devilish smirk.

"You mean vegetable pizza? Um.. I like that" I said not understanding the reason of his smirk.

"You should open the box and eat your Vegetable pizza" He said to which I nodded and opened the box.

I frowned dangerously seeing the vegetable salad in pizza box. I looked towards Dante who was smirking evily at me.

WTH?

"Liked it, your Vegetable pizza oh sorry vegetable salad?" He asked with a grin.

"Seriously Dante. What are you? Ten?" I asked and slammed that box in table to which he started laughing hysterically.

And guess what? This man is laughing too hard that his eyes has became teary.

"What's so funny Dante? You can't laugh like that after playing with my emotions?" I said angrily but he wasn't listening and kept on laughing.

I huffed angrily and crossed my arms across my chest and looked away from him. After few seconds, he finally stopped laughing and drank the water.

"Sorry- Sorry. But this was really funny. Your face.. Oh my god" He said laughing a little to which I looked at him angrily.

"Really Dante?" I asked annoyingly to which he smiled.

"You can't pull such kind of prank at me. I already don't like salads but I still somehow convinced myself to eat those stuffs but you. You played with my emotions" I huffed.

"Now seeing those pizza boxes, I won't be able to eat those salads. I want pizza now" I said angrily to which he shook his head.

"Nope. Not happening" He said in his business tone trying to intimidate me.

"And why not?" I asked in the same tone to which he chuckled.

"Because you are still sick" He said with a smirk.

"But I'm getting better now" I said trying to win the argument.

"Nope. I won't let you eat pizza or any other unhealthy thing until you get completely ok" He said with a smirk.

"You want me to eat healthy but you yourself is doing those unhealthy prank on me. How would I be ok after that?" I asked slamming my palm on the table.

"Unhealthy prank? Seriously Crystal?" He laughed at me and shook his head.

"Dante please" I said with a pout.

Honestly, right now I want to strangle him but that won't get me pizza. Maybe pouty face can work.

"No Crystal".

"Dante please, please, please, please" I said pouting softly to which he sighed.

"Crystal no, no, no, no" He said with a pout. Seriously.

I glared at him and stood up from the couch to which he looked at me in confusion.

"Get up" I said in a stern tone to which he frowned.

"What?" He asked in confusion.

"I said get up" I said in more strict tone this time to which he frowned but finally stood up.

"You want me to eat this shitty salad?" I asked to which he nodded.

"Fine I'll eat it but first you get out of here" I said raising my arms towards the door to which he chuckled.

"Dante get out or else I will myself throw you out of my room" I said angrily.

"I won't leave. But yes, you can try to throw me out of your room" He said the last sentence mimicking me.

"You" With this I tried *keyword: Tried* to push him or drag him but this man is too strong. He wasn't even bulging a little.

"God" I yelled and once again tried to push him but I couldn't.

"God. Help my wife" He said dramatically and looked upwards by raising his hand in prayer.

"Danteee" I whined stopping my acts and again crossed my arms across my chest in anger.

"Aww. Crystal baby got no help from God" Dante chirped dramatically and started laughing at me.

"Huh" I rolled my eyes angrily, still looking away from him.

He suddenly came and hugged me, keeping his chin on my head.

"You are easy to tease" Dante said pinching my cheeks to which I pushed him away and rubbed my cheeks.

"Don't do that" I said angrily.

"What? This *pinching my cheeks again*?" He asked with a grin to which I glared him hard.

"Dante, I'm serious" I said sternly to which he made a face.

"So?" He asked raising his eyebrow in challenging manner.

"Danteee" I whined annoyingly to which he laughed and side hugged me.

"Ok ok I'm sorry" He said with a laugh.

"I won't tease you. Now come on, finish your salad" He said to which I made a face.

"Dante please. Not that salad" I whined again.

"Okay I have an idea. You eat this salad today. Tomorrow I'll get you pizza, I promise" He said to which I looked at him with narrowed gaze.

"You aren't lying, right?" I asked for conformation to which he nodded.

"I promise tomorrow you'll eat pizza" He said sincerely to which I nodded and decided to finish that stupid salad.

We both walked towards the couch and sat there and finished our salad. Well, me eating salad and Dante eating double cheese sandwich.

Asshole.

Once we were done eating, Dante came up with the idea of watching movie together which I instantly agreed knowing that he hardly watches movie because of his tight schedule. So we decided to watch 'Prey for the Devil' as we both liked horror movies more than action or romantic movies.

"Come here" Dante said pulling me closer when we were watching the movie.

"Aww my husband dearest is scared" I said in a teasing voice to which he suddenly pinched my waist.

"Dante" I whisper yelled, laughing at his antics to which he smirked and focused on the movie.

I grinned at his reaction and kissed his cheek before leaning my head at his shoulder.

Soon movie came to an end. But it was dinner time so we went down to have our dinner but before going I covered the handprint on my face from the makeup. When I was doing that, Dante looked quite angry but I somehow convinced him that it's fine now.

After dinner, we went back to our room but before going inside the room Dante pulled me in the corner and kissed me, HARD.

After breaking the kiss he looked at me lovingly and caressed my face with the back of his palm.

"You're so beautiful" Dante said looking at me with dreamy eyes.

"Sometimes I don't understand how I became so lucky to get You as my life partner" Dante said with so much sincereity which caused me goosebumps.

"This is something I should say to you" I said with a smile.

Honestly it's me who is lucky to have him in my life. Dante is rich, handsome and down to earth person. He could have easily got any girl he wanted but chose me. Intact he loves me. Me. I mentally danced thinking about this.

"Hey" Dante suddenly clicked his fingers in front of my eyes to which I came back in my senses.

"Were you sleeping with open eyes?" He asked narrowing his eyes at me to which I shook my head.

"Weirdo" He commented shaking his head. I slapped his arm a little and giggled.

"Ok now princess, go to your bed now" Dante said with a loving smile to which I blushed.

"Come on" He said holding my hands and dragged me towards my room.

When we were outside my room, Dante left my hand and gave me a quick hug.

"Good night Crystal" He said sweetly and pecked my lips.

"Good night Dante" I said while blushing to which he chuckled and walked towards his room.

I smiled in content and closed the door of my room. Today, my day started with Dante and ended with Dante. Yes it's true that today my father and his wife tried ruining my day but at the end of the day, everything's fine and I'm happy, thanks to my man, Dante.

Before I used to think that I'm the unluckiest one but now I know that I'm the luckiest one. I felt happiness bubbling inside me with this mere thought. With a smile on my face I went to sleep with Dante's thoughts in my mind.
