Chapter 633

After boarding the plane, Lin Jiage seemed to have fallen asleep. Leaning back in his seat, he closed his eyes.

Seeing that he was resting, Shi Yao didn’t disturb him any further. Sitting beside him, she put on her phone and headphones to watch the television drama that she had downloaded beforehand. After which, she fell asleep as well.

By the time Shi Yao woke up, the plane had already begun landing.

To her surprise, Lin Jiage was still asleep.

Shi Yao wasn’t in a hurry to wake Lin Jiage up. It wasn’t until the plane had landed, stopped, and opened the cabin door that she gently nudged Lin jiage beside her, “Lin Jiage, we’re here...”

Lin Jiage slowly opened his eyes and glanced at Shi Yao’s face. Before Shi Yao could catch the emotions in his eyes, he retracted his gaze, unfastened his seatbelt, and stood up to open the cabin door, after unpacking their luggage, he took the lead and walked toward the plane’s cabin door.

Lin Jiage had already booked a car in advance, and by the time he exited the airport, the chauffeur was already waiting for him.

After boarding the car, the chauffeur immediately escorted the two of them to the hotel. On the other hand, Lin Jiage seemed to be very busy. As soon as he sat down, he whipped out his laptop and began typing on the screen.

The sound of his keyboard continued all the way to the entrance of the hotel lobby. Only after Lin Jiage closed his laptop did he finally come to a stop.

Lin Jiage booked two rooms in advance, and after checking in, he accepted the room card and headed upstairs with Shi Yao.

It was only when they reached the entrance of the room and swiped the room card that Shi Yao realized that her and Lin Jiage’s rooms were opposite each other.

“I’ll head back to my room to pack my things first...”before parting ways with Lin jiage, Shi Yao tugged at her luggage and greeted Lin Jiage.

Lin Jiage didn’t say anything. He simply nodded lightly before pushing the door open and entering his room.

Shi Yao stared at the door that Lin Jiage had closed behind him for a moment, and she couldn’t help but feel that something was amiss. However, she tilted her head and pondered for a moment, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t figure it out. In the end, she simply thought that she was being too sensitive.., after which, she entered her room.

Shi Yao washed her face and changed into a new set of clothes. Taking a look at the time, she realized that it was almost seven o’clock. Thus, she took out her phone and sent a message to Lin Jiage: [ what are we going to eat tonight? ]

After sending the message, she didn’t receive a reply from Lin jiage even after a long while.

She added another ‘?’, but seeing that there was still no response from him, she took her room card and bag and headed to his room.

Shi Yao rang the doorbell several times before the door finally opened.

She thought that Lin Jiage hadn’t opened the door for such a long time. Perhaps, he was taking a shower or sleeping, but to her surprise, there wasn’t a single change in him at all.

He didn’t turn on the air conditioner, and the window was open. The bed in his room was very tidy, as if he had never sat on it or laid on it before. Not a single part of the room had been touched, and his luggage was placed at the door, so he didn’t open it either.

After seeing the situation in Lin Jiage’s room, Shi Yao couldn’t help but frown.

It was clear that he hadn’t done anything after entering his room. So, why didn’t he reply to his messages or open the door for so long? What was going on?

The doubts in Shi Yao’s heart didn’t leave her mouth.

Lin jiage happened to glance at his phone, and he caught a glimpse of the contents of her messages. As if he knew what she was thinking, he spoke up, “I just received a call...”

Before Shi Yao could respond, Lin Jiage spoke up once more, “I’ve already reserved a table for dinner. It’s an old-fashioned hotpot restaurant nearby. Let’s head over there directly...”
