Chapter 13

Minerva

The day soon came to end. The six of us were outside ready to walk our own paths home.

"Bye!" I said to everyone except Mars and Venus. After all it isn't our time yet to depart from each other.

"So we'll be walking home with Venus?" Mars asked, with a tensed expression as he tried his best not to let a smile from across his face.

I didn't like the look Mars has on his face. It's as if he's expecting yuri action from Venus and I.

"Like you don't know." I answered sarcastically.

"I live near the station. We always walk home together. How about you?" Mars asked.

"I either go home with Vulcan or just go home by myself." Venus answered honestly.

"Then where's Vulcan?" Mars asked intentionally as he looked my way.

I shot him a glare.Venus might feel offended right now.

"Going home with you two is nicer. Besides, I'm not sure I'll be going home with him soon." Venus answered.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Yeah. It's just-

"After I decided to break up with the others including him, he was disappointed. I guess I might have given him fake signals." Venus continued.

Somehow I felt relieved and even happy.

I know I shouldn't but she doesn't love or like Vulcan that way right? Somehow my heart hurts.

"Welp, here I am. Sorry but I'll have to leave you both." Mars said as he felt.

Without noticing, we've already reached the station. Mars waved good and soon, it's just the two of us.

"So you broke up huh?" I said with relief unknowingly.

"You seem happy." Venus chuckled.

My ears went red.

Was I that obvious?

Shit. I can't believe I just admitted it.

I feel guilty of being happy that Venus broke up with the others. My heart twinged again at the sudden thought that Venus might still be daring Vulcan.

"Are you alright with it?"

"He'll come around. Besides, I've got my friends." Venus said with a happy smile.

"I don't think I would date any guy right now." She continued.

Oh. So she's not interested in dating huh.

Well, that's fine.

Besides, I'm not even sure if she swings that way.

I've never considered dating before but with her, my whole world was electrified so suddenly.

"Yeah."

"Fuck dating." I said as I looked at her.

Her side view was just- so beautiful. A gust of wind blew across her face making my heartbeat uncontrollably fast.

"Want to practice your dancing?" She asked.

Not to mention also kind. She's quite reserved isn't she, and actually a good girl. I don't think I've seen her swear before- except for bitch.

"Man, I sure could use some practice. Thanks."

"Well, you are feeding me. It's the least I could do."

"Want to eat with my family?"

Why does it sound like I'm proposing to her. Shit.

"Thanks. I would love that."

God. What was I thinking?

It's because I want to see her more often.

It went quiet after that. Sometimes silence is a nice way for friends to bond.

After quite some time we arrived in her unit. She asked me to wait outside in the living room while she went and changed herself. I closed my eyes attempting to meditate only to fail. I couldn't believe I let my thoughts wander.

I breathe in a generous amount of air. I need to clear my mind off dirty thoughts about Venus. My body became light. It's as if I've been calmed. A smile formed across my face. I did well in clearing my thoughts about her. She didn't deserve that.

Just then I felt a cool air blowing across my face. I opened my eyes and saw a sly Venus smirking at me as if she had successfully teased me — which she did. My body just moved away from Venus and I fell on the floor on my back miserably.

This is fucking embarrassing. I sniffed.

"Are you okay?" Venus said with worried eyes.

"I'm fine." I explained.

I suddenly felt two slender hands wrapped around me. I could feel the warmth of Venus. The slight sweet smell of cherry blossoms emitted from her made my heart race faster.

"Hey don't cry." Venus whispered in my ear.

I could feel her hot breath.

My ears felt hot.

Was she teasing me? This really feels good. I want more of her warmth.

"Enough. Come on let's practice." Venus said, unwrapping her arms from my body.

I suddenly missed her warmth. Well, I can't be too greedy.

I stood up and fixed my shirt. Venus turned on the music and we began to dance. I raised my hands to the left as I did a shuffle. Venus did the same. I looked at her as if I'm being enchanted by her magic. I felt my heartbeat so suddenly when I saw her mouth mouthing 'good job'. Guess I could be a dancer afterall.

We took a break after we finished two rounds of practicing. I felt sweaty all over my body. It would be better if I shower before we eat dinner. I wouldn't want to stink especially when Venus is sitting beside me.

"Hey um- I'll go take a shower. We'll meet again later for dinner. Sounds good?" I said as I whipped a few drops of sweat across my face.

Venus got up from where she was then sat beside me.

"Take a rest first. It's bad for your body if you take a shower right away just right after practice." Venusa said with her eyebrows furrowed.

I sighed and finally gave in.

"Alright. I'll take a rest here first before taking a shower at home. Happy?" I said.

Venus flashed me a smile and while looking at me from top to bottom and said, " I am now." followed my biting her lips.

I swallowed some of my saliva.

Is she aroused just now?

With the mere thought that Venus was aroused made my cheeks burn right red again. I suddenly stood up and said, " Thanks for practice. I've rest enough now. I'm going to take a bath. See you."

I ran towards my unit floor and went inside the bathroom with my face deep red.

"What are you doing to me, Venus." I said to myself as I ran my fingers through my hair.

I went and opened the water to fill the bathtub before I got in. It was warm, similar to Venus's hug. I found my fingers touching my lips while I thought of hers.

This is bad. I'm completely smitten by her.

I got dressed right after I had finally fully cleaned myself. I sniffed myself to make sure that I don't smell, and fair enough, I smell fresh like a rose. I walked towards the living room. I felt my face cramping. It's as if it's been exerting effort to exercise, I wonder what happened. I did apply enough moisturizer to make sure that my skin isn't starting to dry.

"Woah, woah! Lil sis! Who's the lucky person making you smile like that?" My brother Zero said.

Huh?

Was I smiling?

I ran towards the guest bathroom and looked at the mirror. Fair enough, I was smiling widely like a fool. I pinched my cheeks and massaged it a little. Finally, the smile was nowhere on my face. No wonder I felt my cheek muscles quite sore and tired.

The doorbell suddenly rang. It must have been Venus. I fixed myself up ignoring the looks my brother is giving me and went towards the door.

It's as if I was blinded by a beautiful light when I saw her standing there with a soft warm smile. Cupid must really have been messing with me. It's not fair that his arrow pierced through my heart perfectly making me fall for Venus entirely.

"Hi." I managed to blurb out. Very cool of you, Minerva.

I really wanted to smack myself.

"Hello. Nice to see you again." Venus chuckled. I felt my face red from embarrassment.

"So are you going to let me in?" She continued.

I stepped to the side to let her in. It's been years since I have last stuttered. I sighed and when seriously that face that my brother is making, is making my mood worse. He was pointing his lips into a kissing motion.

This seriously sucks.

I really want to punch his face.

"Hey, sis. Don't worry. I'll convince our parents to approve your crush. Just leave it to your reliable big brother." My brother said, pridefully.

Yeah, leave it to my brother. I eyerolled and sat beside the seat where Venus was. Dinner was already being served. Seeing the smile of my parents, it looks like they are really loving the company of Venus. That whole night I couldn't help myself from smiling. I even had such a dream where Venus and I got married — that's really indecent of me.
