Chapter 17

Christmas is near! I'll be updating once a week again. Yey!

Minerva

"Will you go out with me?" I said, so abruptly.

After I had realized what I said, I wanted to smack myself on my head. I'm definitely insane for doing that.

As I was busy cursing myself, the sudden laughter of Venus made me think that she might have thought that it was just a joke. I bit my lip, trying hard to hold back a few droplets of tears forming at the corner of my eyes.

"Sure," Venus said, indifferently.

My eyes widened which let the tears I was holding back fall from the corners of my eyes. I felt Vanus's warm eyes cupped my cheeks as she wiped away the droplets of tears. I looked into her eyes which were filled with concern. This is bad, I shouldn't worry her too much.

"You're not joking right?" I asked. My heart was indeed filled with insecurities. She did say that she isn't ready for a relationship, yet so why with me.

"I am, I need someone to date me so that boys won't pester me anymore. Is that okay with you? You aren't joking a while ago right?" Venus said.

I wanted to laugh at myself. I should have expected this. What was I expecting anyway? Either way, this is alright for the time being.

"I wasn't. So you're my girlfriend now right?" I said with a cheeky grin.

Venus moved swiftly towards me and I felt a pair of lips of mine. She stole a kiss from me. I felt my cheeks heating up intensely.

"Aren't I," Venus said as she licked the corner of her lips.

I kind of understood why the other guys fell for her charms since I'm already drunk by it. As she was about to move away from me, I grabbed her pajamas lightly, and said, "Can we skip the horror film?" feeling embarrassed as I bit my lip.

"Alright Alright. How about we go to sleep then?" Venus suggested.

What an angel!

She got up and turned off the lights.

Then it struck me. We are sharing the same bed. Although it's rather big, the sole thought that we are, made my heartbeats faster. I could feel the budum budum while I was lying down. I turned around to face to Venus's direction and saw a smile on her face.

I felt exposed.

"Can't sleep?" Venus asked.

I wasn't able to gather enough energy to keep my eyes open. Everything went black after that and I fell asleep

Venus

I can't believe Minerva fell asleep right away. Just a while ago, she was getting flustered just staring at me. I touched my lips, it made me remember the kiss we had a while ago. Her soft lips on mine almost made me lose my composure.

I'm such a coward. I just had to say that I wanted to date her for the sole purpose of using her as a shield towards the guys. After all, what would she think if she figured out that I've actually never kissed anyone before, and most importantly, I'm really not a slut. I never had sexual intercoures with any of my boyfriends even Vulcan. Then a sudden flash of image where I saw Minerva's bare body on mine made my cheeks feel hot.

Minerva's arm found its way on top of my waist. A smile formed on my face as I studied her face. Her eyelashes are longer than I initially imagined. Now that I look at her more, I began to understand how beautiful and cute she is. It's adorable how she couldn't stand horror movies.

I stroked her cheek gently. It caught me off guard when she purred like a kitten on my hand as if enjoying my touch so much.

I smiled.

I need to somehow get her to date me for real this time. Closing my eyes slowly, I felt sleep enveloped me.

The next morning I woke up to find Minerva nowhere to be seen. I initially panicked at the thought that she might have left me hanging the day after we were supposedly dating.

I walked out of my room and saw a fully dressed Minerva. She wore a plain white shirt layered by a grey cardigan paired with black ripped jeans and grey slip on shoes. She also wore her hair in a bun like before. This somehow makes me want to have her old hairstyle back so that she wouldn't catch other people's attention.

"You're awfully dressed. Are you going somewhere?" I asked Minerva while I sat on the dining table ready to devour my egg sandwich for breakfast.

"Of course I am," Minerva said as she sat across me.

I felt an unpleasant feeling in my heart. Jealousy perhaps.

"With whom?" I asked, trying not to sound jealous.

"My brother and I are going to visit a relative of ours. I'm going to be an aunty." Minerva said happily.

Guess I should be jealous after all. Lucky brother. That reminds me, isn't Zero a siscon? He dots on his sister too much sometimes.

"Thanks for the meal," I said to Minerva.

I felt the warmth inside my heart. Minerva even got up early to make me breakfast. I better do something for her too. I wonder how happy she would be.

Minerva waved goodbye soon after showing me what she had prepared for me for lunch which is inside the fridge. I better thank uncle and aunty for raising Minerva later on after we get married.

Now that I remember, Minerva would have a practice match with a foreign team who's currently visiting this country. I should go and watch. It'll be fun.
