Chapter 21
Our Love In Another Life [GirlxGirl]
Minerva
My eyes widened when I saw the familiar blue-haired girl with warm blue eyes, walking towards us.
Mars gave me a look with his eyes wide. I nodded in agreement.
"Looks like your theory might be right," I whispered to Venus.
"What year do you think she is?" Mars whispered.
"What are you guys whispering about?" Someone said.
The three of us turned out heads and saw Sam with a smile.
"Hi Minerva," she said.
"Great seeing you here. I didn't know that you'd be transferring here," I said, pretending to be shocked.
"My school suddenly contacted me telling me if I was interested in becoming an exchange student, so I took the chance," She explained.
"Anyway, I better go," Sam said, waving goodbye as she walked towards a girl in a braid with glasses who seemed to be her friend waiting for her.
"New friend?" Travis asked with a huge smile on his face.
"Just someone she knows," Vulcan said with a smirk.
Travis sat down so did Violet and Maxy. Venus's friends exceeded my expectations. I thought that they would not stick with her after she told them about her true nature. It's been months since Mars and I transferred here, and it looks like there's a new queen bee already after Venus stopped 'targeting' other students.
I looked up. There I saw a chick- a girl with silver long wavy hair reaching up to her waist, wearing a headband on. The girl has full red lips that could almost match Venus's beauty. Right in the under left eye was a small mole. She looked like a human Vidia (note: from tinkerbell). She walked with her head high as she passed Venus, as if showing off her new queen bee status.
"Well, she looks energetic," Mars said, jokingly.
"She's Paris Herryton. She has always been the second popular and had been competing for the queen bee position with Venus before while I was the school prince," Vulcan said, siping his juice.
"So does this mean the person she's dating is the new school prince now?" I asked curiously.
This school's system is confusing. In previous school, there weren't such things as queen bee and school prince, only the popular crowds, the normal crowds, and the rejects.
Vulcan and our friends looked at me with surprised expressions. Mars almost fell off his seat.
"Girl, you're the school prince!" Mars said as he fixed himself up.
My eyes widened. How did I become the prince? I'm a girl! Since when had a girl become a prince? Shouldn't it be at least princess?
Venus nudged me and I passed her my chocolate milk drink.
Our friends looked at us funnily.
"Hm?" Venus humed, sipping the chocolate drink I gave her.
"No it's nothing. Anyway, Mars and you apparently have been competing with me for the position. Let's just say the girls liked you way more than us," Mars explained.
"You were so cool when you competed with Zero! Zero Henceforth, a member of the Henceforth family who runs the Jewels Hotels around the world," Travis said with shining eyes.
"Wait. Did you say Henceforth? Minerva, isn't your surname-" Violet said as she looked at me for confirmation.
I could only smile. I nodded, "He's my brother,"
Mars grinned widely as Venus tried to hide her smile by continuing to eat.
"Holy mother of pearls! I'm friends with the heir of the Henceforth Family!" Travis squealed, earning us curious gazes from others.
I hushed them.
"Promise me not to tell anyone that. I just wanted to keep a low profile or else the journalist would start to appear," I said.
"School prince suits you," Vulcan said.
"Since my background came to life, why don't the other one reveal himself too," I said glaring at Mars.
"Hey, that's not fair. I have my privacy too!" He defended himself.
"I also told my friends about my background too, and since we're friends, we shouldn't keep secrets," Venus said calmly.
I hugged Venus. Nice comeback!
"Fine. My family is full of architects. I'm also going to be one. It's STG Architecture," Mars said with a sigh.
"Shit! I can't believe the whole school used to bully the two family giant's heirs," Travis said.
Mars and I laughed.
"Don't worry. If they ever did cross the line, Minerva would send them flying," Mars said.
"Xavier should be thankful that Venus interrupted when he was ready to shove Minerva, since he might be the one ending up in the dumpster," Vulcan chuckled.
We dispersed and got ready to go to our respective classes when I suddenly saw Sam blushing deep red while hugging someone. She stiffened a little and let go after she caught me staring at her.
"Hi Minerva," She said, waving at me.
"Hi! So you're a second year, how's class?" I asked.
"Fine, um-" Sam leaned towards me and whispered, "Please pretend you didn't see that. See you later at the club," then left.
"What did she say?" Venus asked.
"Oh just see me later at the club. A rematch maybe?" I lied.
"Ohhh, I'll drag Vulcan with me there! Venus wanna come?" Mars asked.
"Sure," Venus answered with a smile.
My ears reddened when I realized we were holding hands the whole time. I began to question the expression Sam had a while ago. It's the same as mine. What had happened? Wasn't she initially supposed to be going for Venus? And, when did Mars take a liking to Vulcan, weren't the two of them supposed to be after Venus too? The story isn't making sense.
The three of us walked towards class. The bell then rang and the teacher walked in.
