Chapter 23

Minerva

Venus planted her lips on mine.

"Silly, we've been official since the day I asked you out. I'm in love with you, dummy," She said making my face blush like a tomato.

I hugged her tightly as if she would disappear if I were to let go.

"I love you," I whispered in her ear.

"I'm not disappearing," Venus chuckled.

My face reddened. I unwrapped my arms around her and held her hand as we went home. Venus's parents are already back by now. I wanted to invite her over. I wonder if her parents would mind after all they haven't seen their dear daughter for months now. An idea popped into my head. How about I sleepover at her's?

I excitedly went home and took a bath. My nanny had her eyes widened. I on the other hand had a smile on my face as I informed her that I would stay over at a friend's place. I was shocked to see that my nanny didn't mind at all and was rather happy about the news. I wore my pajama and finally appeared in front of Venus's unit. I rang the doorbell.

"Mind if I sleepover?" I asked Venus who had a confused expression.

"Why didn't you tell me about ir a while ago?" she asked, crossing her arms.

It seemed that I had made her quite unhappy. The smile on my face never left, and I flashed my cute puppy eyes to her. When I saw her lips twitched, I walked towards her. My puppy eyes had worked on her.

"I'm sorry. I initially wanted to invite you for a sleepover, but your parents would be back today and I thought they might be lonely if I steal you away," I answered.

Venus stood silent. I wonder if I had made her angry.

"Welcome home, mom, dad," Venusa spoke.

I turned around and saw two majestic beautiful beings standing in front of me. They really are Venus's parents. Both had brunette hair, her father's leaning to the darker side. I calmed myself. I bowed to them and flashed my charming smile.

"Good evening, I'm Minerva Henceforth. You're daughter's girlfriend," I accidentally blurted out the last part.

I felt my palms sweating from fear. Venus was glaring hard at me. I can;t believe I screwed up on the first day of being official. She might decide to take back what she said a while ago. To my surprise, her parents chuckled. They must have thought it was a joke. It might be better this way.

"I-"

"Aren't you a charmer. You said you're Minerva Henceforth, right? Heir to the Jewel's Hotel," Venus's mom said as shiny dollar signs flashed on her eyes.

I felt a chill down my spine when Venus's dad grabbed my shoulder.

"You are welcome to join us for dinner, daughter-in-law. Call us mom and dad," Venus's father said.

I smiled sheepishly at Venus who looked constipated. I shrugged. I think it went well. What's left is for my parents and my brother to find out.

"You're parents like me," I smiled.

Venus pinched my cheek, " It's because you're the heir to the Jewels Hotel and your brother is a well-known soon-to-be lawyer," Venus sighed.

"I bet they're planning to merge your business and ours into a corporation. My parents are all about money," Venus said with sad eyes.

I think she might have felt bad that her parents allowed our relationship because of my status, but I didn't care. Either way, it's still bound to be used by my parents for future match-making purposes. I was actually glad that it's Venus. Even if we were to have different status, I would still have tried to convince my parents about our relationship. There's many who would want to use my money and power after all.

I went inside the kitchen and insisted on taking over cooking the dishes. I have to impress my parents -in-law after all. With a smile, I thought of the perfect dishes that would make them drool.

Venus's parents were delighted with my cooking skills. I felt myself smiling that moment. We headed towards Venus's room soon after finishing dinner. I felt myself fidgeting the whole time Venus was inside the shower. The sound of droplets of water falling down Venus's body made me blush. I shook those thoughts away and opened the television.

"Darling! Don't leave me," I switched the channel to a cooking show. There's no way I'm watching a romance show right now. I need to cool my head.

I felt a liquid substance slowly flowing out of my nose when Venus walked out from the bathroom unclothed. I felt my fingers touch my nose and there I saw my blood. I looked up at Venus again, feeling my face flushed. She too herself was rather flushed and quickly ran inside the bathroom again.

I reached for a paper tissue and whipped the blood off my face then rolled the tissue paper then sticking it inside my nostrils to stop the blood from flowing down again. I covered my eyes.

"You can come out now. I've covered my eyes," I shouted.

Venus said something but I didn't hear it. I heard sudden movement a few minutes later.

"Don't peak," Venus said in an irritating tone.

I sighed. It was her fault for going outside the bathroom naked in front of her girlfriend. I need to calm my heart down because it's beating quickly.

"You can open your eyes now," Venus said.

I removed my hands from my eyes. Venus tucked a few strands of her hair at the back of her ears, "I'm used to walking around naked inside my room. Sorry," Venus said.

Inside my head I wondered if there was someone else that experienced the same incident as me. I pursed my lips. I can't believe I'm acting jealous again.

"This is the first time it happened. Don't worry," Venus said, flashing me a sweet smile.

I felt my face flushed again. I can't believe she noticed that I was jealous. I pouted, looking away from her. Venus only chuckled before tackling me as she hugged me tightly. Well, I wouldn't mind if this happens to me everyday.
