Chapter 30

Third POV

Aphrodite staggered home to her husband Hephaestus, drunk. Hephaestus was already asleep when Aphrodite arrived. After hearing a sudden loud crash, he woke up and lazily opened his eyes. What's she doing arriving home at night? Hephaestus got up and walked towards the living room. There Aphrodite was, lying on the floor asleep. Hephaestus sighed. He had just taken a bath and now, seeing Aphrodite surrounded by her puke, Hephaestus shuddered. He carefully placed the blanket on APhrodite before going back to sleep.

Aphrodite woke up, her head feeling heavy. She opened her eyes and saw her face full of puke that made her throw up again. There and then she remembered to meet a friend of Ares. Despite hooking up with Ares before, they were actually still able to maintain a good friendship.

Her eyes widened. She was suddenly transported to Ares's backyard. There are many Gods as well as Goddess, all staring at her. Aphrodite pursed her lips and blushed. How embarrassing it is for her to show up like trash, especially when she's known as the Goddess of Beauty. Surprisingly no one laughed, except for one — Athena. Aphrodite swore she wanted to beat up that Goddess. No wonder Ares hates her.

"You look adorable," Athena chuckled, showing her deep dimple.

In that instant, Aphrodite saw flowers bloom from the surroundings. It's as if she had been enchanted by Athen. Athena walked towards Aphrodite and held her hand.

"I'll help you wash up. Who knew that the Goddess of Beauty, filled with sexiness, is such a clumsy person?" Athena whispered only loud enough for Aphrodite to hear.

Ever since that day Aphrodite's heart rate would increase whenever she's with Athena. In just a blink of an eye, they became best friends. Hephaestus was furious when he found out that Aphrodite not only suddenly disappeared, but came back in love with someone who's not him. The thoughts of other Gods and Goddesses ridiculing him, filled his mind. He decided to kill Athena.

Minerva

After hearing the story from Zero, Minerva felt her heartache. Hephaestus only cared about himself. Not once did he care about Aphrodite. Minerva sneaked an arm around Venus and held her tightly.

"Don't worry, I won't steal her away," Vulcan laughed.

"I guess it ended," Zero said.

"What do you mean?" Paris interjected.

"Baby, don't be angry," Sam kissed Paris's forehead.

We were all shocked. Since when did those two get together? I had a smile on my face. Well, don't both of them look happy. I think? Paris was hitting Sam's arm while Sam herself was laughing. That's what happens when you're in love after all.

"To tell you the truth, the Gods and Goddess soul was trapped in your bodies because of Hephaestus. His soul was never in peace that's why." Zero explained.

He scratched his head and made a confused expression, " The thing is there was never even a curse. Hephaestus cursed their own soul inside the humans,"

"Wait, then, what about the powers?" Athena asked.

"It's part of who you are. They only reside inside your body," Zero asked.

That moment I felt dumb. I couldn't believe that I let a fake belief ruin my whole childhood, even letting others bully me for it. The others might have felt the same way too. We all sat on the gazebo after Zero left. It seems like it's all a dream. We aren't real Gods or Goddesses. Reincarnated children were a fluke.

"Hey, you still love me, right?" Venus asked while playing with my hand.

"Why?"

"Because you aren't Athena so-"

I didn't let Venus finish her explanation and went in for a kiss. I smiled cheekily at her, whose face is red like a tomato. It made me feel happy that I could get her to react like that. I was really glad that I transferred here. I got to meet awesome people. Those who care and love me.

"You- I really want to hit you like what Paris did to Sam," Venus admitted while sighing.

I looked at Sam who gave me a confused smile.

"Looks like someone's love life is already resolved. I really couldn't for you to stop asking me for advice," I winked.

Sam blushed and averted her gaze elsewhere. Paris looked at me and I nodded. She should understand the meaning of my words. And indeed! Paris planted a kiss on Sam's cheek.

"You mean a kiss?" I tapped my cheek.

Venus looked at me with a glare. I might have angered her this time. I really should watch out for my back. Surprisingly, Venus planted a kiss on my cheek. It caught me by surprise that my heartbeat quickened tenfold. Exaggerating aside, I felt my ears burning hot.

"You, four! We're still here," Mars said, crossing his arms.

"Us too," Sir Hermes, our teacher interjected.

The six of us looked at our teachers, Sir Hermes and Miss Karen. Shoot! How could we have forgotten? My face became burning hot as well as Venus, Sam, and Paris. Our teachers just saw us flirting.

Sir Hermes smiled, teasingly, and grabbed Miss Karen's waists.

"Looks like we ought to flirt too," he said to Miss Karen.

We were all dumbfounded. Who knew that the famous sought after teachers were dating each other? Many will be heartbroken after the revelation of their relationship.

"Go home early kids," Miss Karen said before pulling Sir Hermes and walking away.

After that, we all went home one by one. It's as if all of our worries were gone. There were no more reincarnated children anymore. We weren't in the first place. I held Venus's hand as we walked home. Mars went away with Vulcan. Although their relationship is still vague, I hope he'll confess sooner or later.

The street was full of people, busing in their own lives. I looked at Venus and realized I'm really in love with her.

"What are you looking at?" Venus asked.

I simple smiled and said, " You,"

Venus's face became red and her eyes widened. She looked down and whispered, "Me too,"
