(Ash POV)

So its been two weeks since the incident with Tyler I don’t talk to him and he doesn’t talk to me even though he apologized, but I do keep my eye on him when he’s around Gabriel, like right now we are at lunch I’m sitting in between Tyler and Gabriel just so he won’t touch her I cant really stop them from speaking but you get my drift. Gabriel been looking down this past week something about no one asking her to the Halloween dance which is in like 2 weeks, I feel bad because I told most of the guys here to stay away from her I know  that most of them were going to ask her just to sleep with her or claim something happened that wasn’t true and i was not going to let her go through the same thing twice plus I planned on taking her myself anyways, I know I shouldn’t have done that but she won’t find out unless someone tells her but most people around here follow what I tell them. This week is also the week I have to escort Rachel to her father’s business gathering I still don’t think she should do it in front of every one but its her choice speaking of her here she comes right now.

“Ash can I speak to you” She asked I nodded Gabriel looked at me and scrunched up her face I smirked at her and tapped her on her nose.

“Stop it I’ll be back” I told her she rolled her eyes and nodded I stood up and followed Rachel out the door and in an empty room.

“Are you still coming Saturday,” She asked

“Of course I wouldn’t ditch you,” I said sitting on top of a desk

“ Ok well here is time and information make sure you have a tux” she said handing me a paper I nodded and groaned

“What’s wrong you don’t want to go do you,” She said quickly I shook my head

“No its not that it’s just that I hate wearing tux’s they aren’t comfortable”

“Oh I thought you were going to ditch me,” she sighed in relief I laughed

“I told you I wouldn’t ditch you,” I said standing up walking to the door with her beside me.

“OK then I guess that’s it then” she said as we walked in the cafeteria

“Wait what time do you want me to pick you up” I asked

“Well it starts at 7 so 6:30 should give us enough time to get there” She said I nodded 6:30 it is then.

“Alright 6:30 Saturday in tux and ready oh can I do a all black tux” I said she nodded and laughed I like the color black on me.

“Yea that should be fine last time I checked it was black or white and Thanks Ash I really appreciate it” she gave me a brief hug ad went back to her table while I went back to mines. I sat down in my original spot Alex was looking at me smirking.

“What did she want,” He asked I shrugged it isn’t my place to tell them.

“Nothing that concerns you” I said not paying attention to him as he pouted

“That was fast,” Gabriel said looking at me up and down I smirked at her

“We didn’t do anything but talk,” I told her she raised her eyebrow at me like she didn’t believe me I sighed.

“I’m serious you can ask her if you want all we did was talk” I said she nodded

“What did you guys talk about” Alex said putting air quotes around talk I glared at him.

“Drop it Alex if she wanted you to know she would have told me in front of you all” I said he looked at me before turning back to his food.

“No need to get defensive,” He mumbled

(Gabriel POV)

It’s been two weeks and nobody has asked me to the dance yet everyone has a date except me even Alex has a date and I’m pretty sure Ash has one to. Its not like I’m ugly or anything well I don’t think I am but it still would be nice to be asked to the dance. According to Jenna it’s the second biggest dance at the school and I need to have a date we already went shopping for our costumes so I have mines, I just need a stupid date. I’m hoping someone will ask me before the dance I don’t want to go alone when everyone has dates, I looked up to see Rachel in front of our table asking to speak to Ash. I turned to Ash and scrunched up my face I didn’t mean to it just happened instinctively she smirked at me and tapped my nose before telling me she’ll be right back I nodded and watched her walk away with Rachel following.

“Man I was wondering how long she be able to hold out from doing anything” Alex said smirking watching them leave Aly smacked him and told him to shut up I guess it was only a matter of time when she would start up again I’m getting the stupid feeling in my chest again ignoring it I turned to Samantha who was looking at me smirking at me.

“Samantha I need a date to the dance” I whispered to her I don’t want the others to know that I don’t have a date she looked at me surprised.

“You don’t have one yet,” She asked

“No I know I’m pathetic” I whined she shook her head

“Why don’t you ask Ash” She said I didn’t think about that I wouldn’t mind going with her but I think she already has one plus its not the same as a real date.

“I can’t she probably already has one” I said

“Trust me she doesn’t have one, she never brings dates to parties the last one she brought was Rachel and that surprised everyone” She said smirking at me as I frowned

“I don’t want a pity date” I said as Ash and Rachel came back in still talking I watch Rachel give her a brief hug before going over to her table and Ash coming back and sitting with us.

“What did she want” Alex asked Ash shrugged

“Nothing that concerns you” She said as he pouted

“That was fast,” I said looking at me up and down for anything that was out of place she smirked at me

“We didn’t do anything but talk,” she told me I raised my eyebrows at her right she sighed.

“I’m serious you can ask her if you want all we did was talk” she said I nodded if she says she didn’t do it I guess she didn’t do it.

“What did you guys talk about” Alex said putting air quotes around talk Ash glared at him.

“Drop it Alex if she wanted you to know she would have told me in front of you all” she said he looked at her before turning back to his food.

“No need to get defensive,” He mumbled

“Ash stop being mean to him” I said she turned to me and grinned.

“I’m not being mean I’m just stating facts” she said I shook my head before turning my attention I didn’t have a taste for it so I was just pushing it around on my plate making words

“Gabby stop playing with your food and eat it” Ash frowned at me while I continued to play with it.

“It’s nasty” I stated as Samantha laughed at me

“Then why you get it” she asked

“Honestly I don’t know I lost my 5 dollars so I was stuck with something that was cheaper” I said I looked at her.

“It cant be that bad” She said I looked at her food she had a slice of pepperoni pizza while I had some nasty alphabet soup with chocolate pudding on the side and a banana.

“Easy for you to say you have pizza” I mumbled still pushing my letters around Ash sighed before taking my tray and giving me hers.

“Here eat,” she said taking the spoon from my hand I looked at her and frowned

“Ash you don’t have to” She held up her hand stopping me from speaking.

“No just eat I cant have you starving all day” She said I smiled at her I love having her as a friend she always looks out for me

“Thanks Ash” I said she grinned at me and pointed to the plate

“Whatever just eat it and I mean all of it” I nodded picking up the pizza and eating it watching her take a spoon full of the soup only to spit it back out. I giggled slightly and she turned to me and frowned.

“You’re right it is disgusting,” she said taking a napkin and wiping her mouth before reaching for her banana and peeling it before she started eating it. I held out the pizza to her

“You want a bite,” I asked turning to her

“ No I’m good I can hold out till I get home plus you need to eat miss I’m getting fat” She said to me I looked at my stomach and frowned before looking at her.

“I am, you don’t see it but I do,” she laughed at me

“Gabby you haven’t gained weight” She said putting her banana peel down

“Yes I have” I mumbled she frowned at me.

“No you haven’t your perfect” she said I blushed slightly as Jenna awed but stopped when I glared at her before turning back to Ash who was giving me a toothy grin I continue eating my pizza ignoring the girls as they laughed at me.

(Ash POV)

I watched as her cheeks turned a cute shade of pink after Jenna said aw to her I couldn’t help but grin when she turned back to me before she continued to eat her pizza the bell rung and the girls all gather there things before they all ran off somewhere leaving the rest of us behind an by the rest of us I mean Tyler, Alex, Sean, Matt, and Tristan.

“That was weird” I said they all nodded

“Their probably going to talk about the Halloween dance last time I heard was that Jenna couldn’t shut up about it” Matt said laughing oh I have to get my costume I haven’t decide between a vampire or devil.

“Speaking of the dance Ash, who are you taking” Sean asked grinning I guess he heard about me telling the guys to stay away from Gabby.

“None of your business” I said he laughed as the rest of them looked confused

“Where you going” He asked

“To the bathroom” I said walking away I reached the bathroom and quickly ran into one of the stalls and used it I heard someone walk into the bathroom as I flushed the toilet. I buttoned my pants and walked out to the sink were the girl was standing in front of the mirror she was short she had to be at least 5’3 or 5’2 she had shoulder length dirty blonde hair with dark gray eyes she looked like one of those anime characters and I’ve never seen her around here before I think I would have notice her. I turned on the water a proceeded to wash my hands until I heard a scream from beside me I looked at her alert.

“What, whats wrong” I asked she continued to look at me.

“You pervert what are you doing in the girls bathroom” She yelled whoa she must be new here I held up my hands.

“Whoa calm down and keep it down” I said walking closer to her she screamed I closed my eyes and cringed at the high pitch.

“Shit stop yelling and let me explain” I said and stop walking closer to her she looked at me and tackled me to the ground I let out a yelp as I felt my head bounce off the floor I groaned that’s going to leave a mark I looked up to see her hand coming towards my face followed by a loud smack I felt a sting on my cheek did this idiot just slap me I sat up seeing she was still there she had an black object in her hand and she was pointing it at me oh fuck no I refuse to be sprayed with that shit I reached out quickly to grab it but she began spraying luckily it only hit me in my left eye I screamed before I snatched it out her hand and pushed her off of me.

“What the hell is wrong with you” I shouted holding my eye I couldn’t see out of it and it was burning like hell I turned on the faucet as the girl looked at me before running out of the bathroom.

“Fucking idiot who the hell brings mace to school” I mutter under my breath trying to flush out my eye but me being me I ended up getting some in my other eye. Shit I could barely see out my eyes as I made my way to the nurse office. I found her door and pushed it opened

“Abigail help me it burns,” I groaned as I stumbled over to where she was, she rushed over to me and sat me down on the nearest bed.

“Ash what happened” She asked as she ran some water.

“Some freaking idiot in the girls bathroom mace me then she slapped,” I said groaning again as the burning in my eyes increased. I felt her place her hand on my arm and tug me up and over to the running water she pushed my head under and told me to open my eyes as much as I didn’t want to I did it burned for while before it started to cool down Abigail pulled me back and sat me back on the bed she started to dry off my face then she looked at my eyes.

“Well you should be good for now your eyes will be red for awhile but other than that you should be fine take off your sweater just in case any of it is on it ” She said I nodded and pulled my sweater over my now wet hair and handed it to her she tossed it the wash machine she had in here.

“Do you know who that girl was,” She asked I shook my head

“No but you can take this a throw it away” I handed her the mace she took it and placed it on her desk before telling me to lie back for eye drops. I sighed when she was finished.

“Now here’s a pass and a cold pack for your cheek you can go to class now if anything else bothers you, you can come back oh and try not to rub your eyes it’ll only make it worse” she said I nodded and took the note before heading to the gym. Now I’m late to class, my eyes are irritated and my cheek still burns I opened the gym door ignoring the stares I got and walked over to the teacher handing him my pass before going to the top of the bleachers where Gabriel Aly and Tyler were sitting I sat next to Gabriel and leaned back against the wall and closed by eyes I wanted to rub them but I couldn’t.

“Ash what the hell happened to you” Aly asked I opened my eyes and she looked at them with her mouth opened.

“Some idiot mace and slapped me in the bathroom” I mumbled closing my eyes again scrunching up my face a couple of times god this is really bothering me.

“Are you ok” Gabriel asked I nodded my head.

“Yea it stings a little and it itches but other than that I’m fine,” I said opening one eye to look at her she nodded as I reached my hand up to rub my eyes I don’t care anymore if its going to make it worse my hand was stopped by Gabriel.

“Ash you can’t do that it going to make it worse” she scolded me

“I don’t care its bothering me” I said taking my hand away from her she grabbed my hand again and I frowned at her as she told me to turn around and lay my head on her lap I did as she told me.

“Now keep still” she said leaning forward to my left eye she gently held it opened and blew in it for a while then switched over to my other eye repeating it over surprisingly it actually worked she leaned back up.

“Is it better,” she asked

“Yea much better thanks” I grinned at her and she grinned back handing me my cold back and placing it on my cheek. I closed my eyes I guess this would be a good time to ask her to the dance but what if she says no I haven’t really though about that part yet.

(Gabriel POV)

Ash was late for gym again Tyler said that she went to go to the bathroom but its been 20 minutes already and she still isn’t back I was going to ask Tyler if he was sure she went to the bathroom but I heard the gym door creak open with Ash coming in with her head down slightly she went up to the teacher and gave him the note before making her way up to us when she reached us I looked at her face and gasped her eyes were a deep red along with skin around it she looked like a raccoon but I shouldn’t mention that to her, her cheek was also red and a little swollen and her hair was damp. She sat down closed her eyes and leaned back only to open them again when Aly asked her what happened at first I didn’t understand why would the girl mace her if she didn’t do anything but then I thought about it and shook my head the girl probably thought she was a guy. I looked over at Ash as she kept scrunching her face up and down she looked miserable.

“Ash are you ok “ I asked she nodded

“Yea it stings and itches a little but other than that I’m fine” She said before she reached for her face to rub it I caught her arm.

“Ash you can’t do that it only going to make it worse” I scolded her she’ll thank me later when her eyes aren’t burning I know how mace works rubbing it only makes it worse she needs to wash it out with milk or Dawn soap, after class I’ll take her to the bathroom to help her wash it out.

“I don’t care its bothering me” she said taking her hands away from but I grabbed them again.

“Turn around and lay your head on my lap” I said she looked at me and frowned before doing it.

“Now keep still” I said leaning over her and opening one of her eyes blowing into it softly this should help for a while I repeated the step with the other eye till I was out of breath I leaned back up and looked at her.

“Is that better” I asked

“Yea much better” she said grinning I grinned back at her before getting her cold pack and placing it on her cheek she closed her eyes as I ran my finger through her damp hair surprisingly it was soft and fluffy not what I expected I played with the strands that were once in the faux hawk but were now flat due to the water I think she needs another hair cut maybe just a trim at the top and a little on the sides I pulled her hair back from her forehead and stared at her face I never really notice how defined her feature are like her jaw line and the structure of her face, despite the redness of her face today she was a still handsome girl if that makes any sense I can see why girls fall for her but she also has a great personality too that I doubt any of the girls knew about in here, not to mention she has her hidden talent of piano playing I bet if anybody knew about that she would be more popular than she already was among the girls but I’m glad I’m the only one who knows it makes me feel special I smiled slightly thinking of the song she played that day even though it was a sad song I was happy that she opened up to me and played. I looked back down at her to see her staring at me with her electric blue eyes I think that’s another thing that draw girls into her, she look like she wanted to say something but she didn’t she sighed and closed her eyes again I raised my eyebrow before looking back up at the teacher who was talking about the reproduction system or something along that matter I looked at my watch we still had close to an hour left of class.

“Gabby what did I tell you about playing in my hair” Ash asked opening her eyes frowning at me playfully her eyes were still the same deep shade of red I grinned at her.

“Not to touch but it isn’t done so I should be able to play with it” I said she rolled her eyes scrunching up her face I bet that stung a little it’s going to be like that for a couple of hours if she doesn’t wash it out completely.

“The same rules apply Gabby” she said smirking at me I frowned.

“I’m keeping it untangled for you” I said smiling as she chuckled at me before closing her eyes again ha I win I started playing with her hair again waiting for the bell to ring.

(Ash POV)

I felt Gabriel’s hands run through my hair, playing with the wet strands of hair around my face her hands felt warm, soft and delicate on my skin I sighed internally I want to ask her to the dance and this would be a good time but I don’t have the guts to I know me of people can’t ask a girl a simple question but I have no experience with asking girls on a date sure I’ve been on dates but I didn’t ask them on it, I opened my eyes as she moved my hair off my forehead she was smiling at something she was probably thinking about, I wish I could make her smile like that of course I make her smile all the time but this time she looked like she was so far away, she looked down at me staring me into my eyes I got lost in her deep green eyes now is the time to ask her Ash you can do it but I was stuck my mouth suddenly became dry I sighed before closing my eyes again I’m so ugh I cant even ask her to a dance, I felt her hands running through my hair again like a massage it felt good. I opened my eyes again and playfully frowned at her,

“Gabby what did I tell you about playing with my hair” I asked she grinned at me still playing with it.

“Not to touch but it isn’t done so I should be able to play with it” she said she would think of that I rolled my eyes regretting it because they started to burn again.

“The same rules apply” I smirked at her as she frowned up her face

“I’m keeping it untangled for you,” She said smiling down at me I chuckled before closing my eyes I’ll let her win this time.

(Gabriel POV)

“You like Justin Bieber” Ash laughed while she went through my CD’s on my dresser I walked over to her and snatched it out her hand.

“Yes I do I’ll have you know the My World 2.0 is a great album” I said she held her hands up while I glared at her I really liked Justin Bieber’s music yes some of his songs I hate but I love this album.

“No need to get defensive you just don’t seem like a Justin Bieber type I hope you’re not one of his crazy obsessed fans” She said quickly while picking up another CD. Yes I am a fan but I wouldn’t go crazy if I see him I’d probably wouldn’t even look at him twice I just like this CD and the Acoustic version of the CD.

“No I’m not and you should listen to him sometimes he’s really not that bad” I said she shrugged

“No you will never catch me listening to him,” She stated giving me a dry look before flipping throw the CD’s again. I rolled my eyes so our probably wondering how we ended up in my room well the nurse gave Ash a pass for early dismissal because of her eyes I got one to since Ash was complaining about the burning so I had to drive her home but we ended up here at my place.

“He isn’t a bad singer” I mumbled she laughed

“I know that I just don’t like his style of singing” She said grinning at me her eyes seemed to be better I made her dump her head in milk she was complaining the whole time until I shoved her head in the bowl shutting her up after that she was fine like I said she would be, now she just smells like milk but her eyes weren’t the deep shade of red anymore it was now a light pink color.

“Whatever Ash you’re just jealous” I said she laughed again

“Why would I be jealous I could beat him at his own game anytime” she sad smirking at me I rolled my eyes at her again.

“Want to watch a movie” I asked she nodded as I went to pick a DVD out.

“Go get some pop corn or chips from the kitchen there in the cabinet next to the fridge I’ll be down in a few” I said

“Why do I have to get it,” She said sitting down I looked at her and frowned

“why do you have to make everything so difficult Ash” I said she laughed

“Because it fun seeing you like this” she said standing up and leaving the room I sighed what am I going to do with her I reached over to my stack of DVD’s and pulled the first one out A Walk To Remember I guess we could watch I’ve never opened it I stood up grabbed a cover and made my way down stairs. I went into the living room and put the DVD in the player before dumping the cover on the sofa before going into the kitchen and saw Ash leaning on the counter watching the popcorn in the microwave spin around.

(Ash POV)

I was watching the popcorn spin around and around and around as it popped in the microwave. My eyes have finally stopped burning after Gabriel dumped my head in a bowl of freaking milk of course I protested but she held my head in the bowl now I have a faint smell of milk on me which isn’t good well I don’t think it is.

“You know if you stand that close to the microwave you’re brain cells will die” Gabby said as she walked into the kitchen I turned around and laughed.

“If you say so do you have anything sweet to eat” I asked I didn’t want to go throw her cabinets searching for anything.

“Um I think we do, the pantry usually has it” She pointed it to it and I walked over and went in I took me forever but I found what I was looking for.

“Yes you guys have Oreo cookies” I said coming out with a Oreo cooking hanging out my mouth. Gabriel turned to me a gasp I looked at her confused as she took the Oreo’s out my hand.

“Don’t eat my Oreo’s there is a reason why they were hidden,” She said pulling the Oreo cookies to her chest protectively well that explains why they were all the way in the back hidden by cans of soup and other food that I’m sure her family stays away from. I rolled my eyes at her and took the popcorn out the microwave and followed her back to the living room where she turned the lights out and pulled the shades down engulfing us in darkness. Man I have to get me some of those shades they can block out the sun during midday.

“ So what are we watching,” I asked sitting on the couch as she sat down next to me and turned the T.V on.

“A Walk to Remember” I groaned I never seen the movie but the guys said it was a chick flick I know I’m a girl but still I didn’t want to watch it.

“Shut up Ash I’ve never seen it” She mumbled shifting so she was leaning on me she pressed play and the movie started.

“Yea well it’s a stupid chick flick” I muttered she threw a piece of popcorn at me before turning back to the movie well at least its not the notebook.

(Gabriel POV)

I was cuddled into Ash with a pile of tissues next to me as I cried and blew my nose the movie it was just so sad why did she have to die so young she was only in high school I blew my nose again tears streamed down my face as I watched the scene as they buried her. The movie was coming to an end and I was still crying I couldn’t stop crying as the credits rolled up it was so romantic and sad at the same time I grabbed another tissue and handed it to Ash as she wiped her eye on her sleeve she was a mess just like me with tears running down her face sniffling trying to hide the fact that she was crying I turned to her and smirked through my tears.

“Ash are you crying,” I asked wiping my face again she shook her head turning away.

“No it’s the pepper spray I think I still have some left in my eyes,” She said sniffing a little and taking the tissue I gave her wiped her eyes and dabbed under her nose I know she was crying who wouldn’t cry it was an amazing movie.

“Right if you want I can get some milk for that” I said smirking she turned to me and glared at I looked at her face a laughed she was so crying.

“No, and you are never picking anymore movies” she said standing up making me fall into the couch I frowned at her as she stretched and looked at her watch and sighed.

“Ash what you do that for” I asked sitting up she laughed.

“I didn’t do anything but stand up you shouldn’t have been leaning on me,” she said turning on the lights.

“Whatever,” I said walking over to the widows and pulling the shades up and grabbing and folding the cover while Ash cleared the popcorn up.

“Ash stay away from my cookies” I said I could see her from the corner of my eye stealing a cookie she took a handful as I turned around and glared at her as she smiled sheepishly at me.

“What I deserve some cookies after that movie you put me through” she said munching on my cookies I glared at her and took the pack away from her.

“Well I’m sorry you got in touch with your inner girl today” I said smirking as she frowned at me.

“What’s are you talking about” She said confused I rolled my eyes

“You know you were crying through the movie like me,” I said giving her a smug look

“I don’t know what you’re talking about I told you it was the pepper spray”

“Right Ash if you say so”

“Whatever as much as love to argue with you I have to go” She said I pouted and she smiled she’s leaving so soon.

“Don’t worry we can do this again but next we go to my house where I pick out the movie” She said as I walked her to the door.

“Ok” I mumbled she chuckled and opened the door.

“I’ll pick you up tomorrow for school” I nodded I forgot I left my car at the school because she instated on taking hers.

“See you later Gabby” she bent down and gave me a kiss on my cheek and ruffled my hair I frowned at her and straightened my hair back as she laughed and got into her car driving off. I closed the door and headed up stairs to bed I had fun with her today even if she stole my cookies I laughed slightly thinking about her crying during the movie.
