Chapter 34

(Gabriel POV)

Ash has been avoiding me all week and I don’t know why, we are on our Christmas break which started on the 19th, I’ve been lonely without her even though I’ve been hanging with Samantha and the others but still...  Sure, she calls me and sleeps over here every night but it isn’t the same, I want to see her during the day time not the night time when she’s overly sleepy or tired and can’t stay up to talk. I sighed when I got her voicemail again maybe I’m being to clingy, every time I call her she says she’s busy and she’ll call be back but she never does, maybe she doesn’t like me anymore oh god what if she doesn’t, I knew I waited to long, she’s probably hanging out with someone else right now she’s given up on me now. I crawl into my bed sad, it’s already ten at night and Ash still isn’t here yet I sighed closing my eyes trying to go to sleep, I heard my window open as Ash climb in I didn’t open my eyes I just pretended I was sleeping, I heard her shed her clothes before she climbed in next to me pulling me to her, she smelled like perfume my eyes started to water thinking about her with another person, I did wait to long for her I guess I feel asleep with a heavy heart tomorrow was Christmas and my heart was torn in two, so much for being happy on Christmas.

I woke up the next day to an empty bed as usual this is what she’s been doing for the past week she comes in and leaves before I can see her I look over at the pillow there was an envelope I opened it and pulled the card it was a Christmas card from Ash wishing me a merry Christmas with a small note at the bottom telling me she be over when I texted her telling I was finished with breakfast I smiled at it softly at it maybe she does still like me.

(Ash POV)

Man I’ve been busy all week trying to get everything ready for the trip and I had picked up Gabriel’s other presents at the mall yesterday after I was attacked my the perfume stand the stuff seemed like it was permanently stuck to my skin, I had left Gabriel early today because it was Christmas and I didn’t know what time her family would be up, I sighed and  got out my bed hearing a whole bunch of commotion up stairs I walked to the family room shaking my head at my brothers who were fighting over a transformer and they say I’m immature, I looked at my dad who was smiling at them while he drunk his coffee.

“Merry Christmas” I said sitting down on the couch watching my idiot brothers fight.

“Dad why didn’t you get two instead of one” I asked he chuckled

“There are two, if Jesse opens the rest of his presents then he’ll realize that there are two” He said sipping his coffee I groaned Rachel was laughing at them along with everyone else.

“Ash go open you’re presents it’s the Green ones” Sarah said I sighed and went over to the tree I snatched the transformer out of their hands.

“Don’t say a word, Jesse open the rest of you're presents and Andrew take this stupid doll and go somewhere” I said they frowned at me

“Its not a doll it’s an action figure” They both mumbled I groaned and picked up my present for Rachel I threw it at her it was small but I couldn’t think of anything else for her and I know she wanted one.

“Ash you didn’t have to get me anything” She said I shook my head at her

“Just opened it” I said I tossed Mitch his gift and Sarah hers.

“Ash thank you I love it” she said grinning at it I had brought her a diamond teddy bear necklace that had juicy couture on it. Mitch and Sarah both opened theirs, I watched both of their faces turn red at it.

“For the honey moon” I said laughing at them I brought Mitch condoms and KY his and her lubricant and Sarah some sexy Lingerie in Mitch favorite color my dad laughed at them. I tossed Andrew Jesse and Nathan their gifts next. I got Andrew Madden 2012 Jesse Call of Duty and Nathan Gears of War 3 for the Xbox 360. I gave dad his present and Jessica hers even though she didn’t deserve one that’s why I got her a crappy one.

“Ash what is this” My dad asked I gave him a small smile

“Listen to it by yourself later I think you’ll like it” I said I made him a CD of all the songs I had recorded with my mom, some were both of us playing and some were both of us by ourselves the last song was of me and her singing together when she came home from the hospital one day.

“A gift card Ash” Jessica said bored I nodded yup

“To a sex shop” She said

“I figure maybe if you got some from something you wouldn’t be so stuck up” I said dryly before I opened my presents most of them were clothes shoes hats and games that I wanted. I opened the big one I pulled open the box and grinned.

“Thanks dad I’ve been trying to find this piece everywhere” I said looking at the muffler he laughed.

“I know I ordered it awhile ago” he said I grinned at it.

“You’ve got one more its from all of us” My dad said I looked at him confused before I saw a small green box. I opened and took out a key then turned to my dad grinning.

“Really” I asked

“Outside” he said nodding smiling at me I jumped up and ran out the house sweet, I ran over to my new bike I wanted. It was a custom Suzuki Hayabusa that was chrome with a green dragon on it, I grinned and started it up my family came the door Jesse came out and handed me a matching helmet.

“Dude this is awesome” I said he nodded

“We all pitched in for it even Jessica did” He said now I feel bad about the present I gave her.

“Don’t worry its her way of apologizing to you” He said I put the helmet on my head and climbed on the bike testing the weight before I revved it up I flipped my face visor down.

“Ash one time around the block okay” My dad shouted I gave him a thumbs up before I sped out the drive way grinning as I went around the block man this is sweet and its smooth I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket it must me Gabriel looks like I can’t sneak around the block again I turned around and headed back home so I could change I was supposed to meet her mother today. I got back home and parked the bike in the Garage next to my Harley that I’m fixing up.

“So how was it,” My dad asked

“It was smooth and fast” I said pulling out my phone I was right it was her she had finished breakfast.

“Gabriel” He said I nodded

“Her mom wants to meet me, now I have to get dressed” I said he nodded and I went down stairs I had already took a shower I just had to put on a meeting the parents outfit. I took out a pair of nice black jeans I put them on before I took out my gray and black button up shirt and my gray cardigan v-neck sweater. I quickly put everything on and tucked in my shirt and button up the sweater I grabbed the banquet of flowers and edible arrangement I got for her mother, the book I brought for her father, and the outfits I got for Kenzs teddy bear, I wanted to give Gabriel gifts to her at my house.

“Ash where you going with all that stuff,” Jesse asked

“Meet Gabby parents I gotta go I’ll be back with her later” I said I can’t wait to give Gabriel her gifts I should bring her one I went to my car and sat everything down before I went back in the house and got her one of her gifts. I got in the car and drove off to her house.

20 minutes later

Ash you can do this I lifted my hand and rung the doorbell holding everything in my hands. A lady who looked similar to Gabriel but had different color eyes hers were hazel instead of the beautiful emerald green.

“Hi you must be Ash” she said politely I smiled

“And you must be her sister right” I said she giggled at me while I grinned looking at Gabriel who was shaking her head.

“Gabriel you didn’t say he was a charmer and handsome” She said looking at me smiling.

“I’m her mother come on it” She said stepping aside I smiled at Gabriel and she gave a small distant one.

“Oh these flowers and the edible arrangements are for you ma’am” I said handing them to her she grinned before she told me to go in the living room.

“Merry Christmas Gabs” I said she smiled and kissed me on my cheek

“Merry Christmas Lee” She said leading me in the room

“Ash” Mackenzie yelled dropping her toy and running to me hugging me on my legs I laughed at her.

“Hey kenz guess what I got you” I said she smiled at me excitedly as I pulled out her present she took it thanking me before she ran over by the tree and  opened them gasping at them I got the ones that matched her dresses that she always wear like the one she’s in now is a red Christmas dress with white hemming she had on white stocking and black shoes with a red bow she also had a red ribbon in her curly hair.

“Hi Sir” I said greeting her father he smiled

“Hey Ash Merry Christmas” He said I said it back handing him his gift.

“I know its not much but I couldn’t find anything else for you” I said laughing as he opened it, it was a signed and New copy of a James Patterson’s new book.

“Thanks its even signed how did you get it signed” he asked astonished I shrugged grinning

“My dad friend is his publisher so yeah” I said I turned to Gabriel

“And for you” I said giving her the box she looked it and sat down I sat down next to her as she opened it she pulled the box opened confused I grinned figured she be confused.

“UGG boots I love them, but it isn’t cold out” She said confused me and her dad laughed at her.

“It will make sense soon” I said grinning at her as her mom walked in and sat down next to her husband.

“So Ash as a mother I am obligated to ask you not to hurt my child” She said I nodded

“I would never hurt her” I said Gabriel groaned next to me we all looked at her I smiled at her while she blushed.

“To make sure she’s in good hands tell me what you have planned for next year” She said

“Well 2 weeks ago I just got a full basketball scholarship to UCLA and I plan on taking up Business to get my MBA” I said she nodded at me and smiled

“That’s all I wanted to ask my husband already informed me on everything so you are free to go” She said grinning I sighed that was easy.

“You ready” I asked she nodded as we stood up I shook her fathers hand and gave her mother a small hug and Kenz came over and jumped on me I caught and picked her up.

“Bye Ash” She said with a big smile I smiled at her and kissed her on her cheek.

“Bye Kenz” I said grinning and nudging Gabriel as her little sister held her cheek and blushed at me.

“Okay time to go” She said taking Kenz out my arms and putting her down she pulled me out the door while I laughed, we got to the truck and lifted her into it before I got in after her I drove back pretty fast.

(Gabriel POV)

“You’re sister is so adorable” Ash said laughing as we she lifted me out the car I frowned.

“You’re corrupting her” I said she laughed again

“You sound like Aly, I can't help it people fall for my charm” She said opening the door as I rolled my eyes at her.

“Everyone’s in the family room come on” She said taking my hand as we walked to the back I’m still sad over the whole her finding someone else thing we reached the family room and everyone greeted me with hugs except Jessica and Ash kept Nathan and Jesse away from me.

“Merry Christmas Gabriel” Rachel said giving me a hug I hugged her back we’ve been getting along well for last month she’s actually a cool person to hang with we talk a lot now. I watched Ash go under the tree and pull out a small little box she grinned at before telling me to come over.

“Here” She said handing it to me nervously

“I didn’t know what else to get you so I thought this would be okay” She mumbled to me I unwrapped and opened the box and gasped pulling it out it was a silver charm bracelet that was almost full.

“Lee this is to much” I said I could tell it was expensive because you had to pay for each individual charm and looking at them I can see most of  them were juicy couture charms and those are expensive not to mention she had ten of them on here.

“It’s not a problem now let me tell you what they mean there in chronological order” She said I looked at her confused they did look kind of random.

“Well this is the first day we met” She said pointing to the locker I smiled it was the day I found out she was a girl in the locker room.

“The first time I took you to see the sunset” She lifted the seashell charm

“This is of course you’re favorite food” She pointed to the strawberry

“The gummy bear green you’re favorite sweet” She said laughing slightly

“The Halloween dance” She said pointing to the pumpkin the day she told me she liked me and it was our first kiss, even though it was a bad day it worked out sort of.

“The day you got an A on you’re test” she pointed to the A+ I could feel my eyes watering.

“First date,” She said pointing to the Ferris wheel

“The Aquarium” She pointed to the dolphin the one next to it was a dog bone I didn’t understand it but I was happy.

“Gabs are you crying” She asked lifting my chin up grinning at me as tears flowed down my cheeks she remembered everything that ever happened with us.

“No I’m just happy” I said she laughed and pulled me into a hug while I cried on her.

“Gabs I have something else for you” she said pulled me back and wiped my tears away before she left the room her family was looking at me smiling oh god did they hear everything Ash came back carrying something in her arms that was covered with a blanket she handed it to me grinning as it squirmed in my arms before it popped its head out it was the black and white husky puppy with the electric blue eyes it licked my face barking softly I smiled at it.

“Is this the same one” I asked she shook her head.

“No it isn’t but I figured you like it anyway and that’s what the dog bone meant” She said referring to the bracelet I smiled and hugged her this was all too much.

“Lee this is way to much for me to take” I said she laughed

“Don’t worry about it come on I want to show you something” She said taking my hand and pulling me out the room and to the living room.

“I now this is sudden but here” She said handing me an envelope I put the puppy down and opened it slowly I took the card out and opened it, bursting into to tears again I threw myself at Ash hugging her she chuckled.

“You remembered” I said crying harder she actually remembered my parents didn’t even remember well I don’t think they did

“Oh course I remember silly I told you I would remember every single thing about you in order to win you over” She said I lifted up sniffling at her she smirked wiping my tears again she kissed me softly while my tears still fell.

“That’s why I was so busy last week I was trying to get everything ready for you” she said I nodded at her feeling bad that I didn’t trust her I started crying again because of it.

“Gabs what wrong” She asked worried

“I thought you didn’t want me any more,” I said crying she looked at me shaking her head.

“Of course I still want you Gabs I’m not going anywhere till I get you,” She said softly engulfing me in her arms again while I nodded in her chest.

“God it’s a sob fest in here” I heard Nathan say for behind me.

“Nathan shut up and get out” Ash hissed at him I lifted my head up as he walked away frowning Ash kissed my tears away giving me a soft smile now I get why she brought the UGG boots.

“Wait Lee I have to ask my dad if I can go” I said my dad might say no to me.

“I already asked he said you could go” She said grinning at me

“I already said I had everything planned first stop is Las Vegas then the next is New York I suggest you start packing a weeks worth of clothes when I take you back home” She said I nodded forgetting something.

“Here I forgot to give this to you I know its not much but I couldn’t think of anything else to get you” I said sheepishly going in my bag and pulling out three gifts.

She took them opening the medium sized gift first she pulled it out and looked me with a raised eyebrow as I blushed.

“I like you in boxer brief and I also happen to like Calvin Klein” I said turning redder as she grinned at me before she opened the box gift she torn the paper off and opened the box with a wide smile.

“Gabs these are whoa where did you find these” She asked turning it over.

“The internet I figures since you were playing basketball for UCLA you can have the same color shoes to match their uniform” I said she laughed placing her new basketball shoes in the box she gave me a soft kiss before she opened the last present it was a watch I saw online It had a mini grand piano inside of it, it was pretty cool to look at too, she was looking at it closely smirking at it before she looked at me and smiled brightly at me before she pulled me in for a long kiss I kissed her back not missing a beat I nipped at her lip as she pulled me closer.

“You guys really need to get a room,” I heard Mitch say me and Ash pulled apart I blushed while she grinned at him he shook his and walked away.

“What are you going to name him,” Ash asked grabbing my puppy it was so small and cute.

“Thirteen” I said grinning it barked a little cute bark Ash look at me confused.

“I don’t get it” She said

“Thirteen is you’re jersey number, the puppy reminds me of you’re eyes” I said softly blushing she groaned.

“Now I look like dog” She grumbled handing me the puppy I took it and scratched behind its ears.

“No I said you guys have the same electric blue eyes” I said looking at Ash and the puppy eyes she sighed

“That doesn’t help Gabs” She said I shrugged

“Well and you’re both cute” I grinned at her as rolled her eyes at me

“I’m not cute I’m sexy” She said kissing my nose just as the doorbell rung we both stood up and walked to the door I still had 13 in my hands, she peaked out the hole and groaned before she opened the door.

“What are you guys doing here” Ash asked dryly I peeked over her seeing everybody I smiled at them.

“Hey guys come in” I said Ash groaned

“You can’t invite people in a house you don’t live in Gabby,” She said shaking her head letting them in I shrugged she was going to let them in anyway.

“So did you tell her” They all asked she nodded

“Just finished giving it, to her before you guys came in an ruined everything” She mumbled going into the kitchen I laughed a little.

“Awe Gabriel is that yours” Jenna said pointing to my little puppy who was surprisingly a quiet one I hope it isn’t lazy.

“Yes Lee gave him to me for a present” I said grinning at the puppy as it licked it paws the girls crowded around my petting him.

(Ash POV)

“Our boyfriends never give us anything like this” Aly said her Jenna and Amber looked at Matt Tristan and Sean who looked at me glaring.

“What” I asked bringing out some eggnog.

“You’re making us look bad” They said Matt said I shrugged sitting down handing Gabriel a cup of eggnog she took it smiling at me I’m happy that she loved the presents I got her even though she was way to emotional about them but guess that was a good thing I’m still trying to figure out where she got the idea that I didn’t want her any more yes I was a little busy last week but I always came back to her at night and made sure she slept fine.

“You guys have to invest in girlfriends I’m not going out with her but she a close friend and you always have to think about them” I said not making sense but I knew what I meant if you love someone you have to invest in the love.

“That didn’t make sense” They mumbled I shrugged

“What you get them,” I asked

“Perfume” they all said I laughed at them

“Guys you have to think about gifts not pick random stuff up” I said shaking my head at them the girls tuned into our conversation.

“Thank you Ash I should have stayed with you at least I would have gotten a decent present” Aly said frowning at Sean

“I’m agreeing with Aly, Ash you now have three girlfriends” Amber said Jenna nodded her head in agreement

“Sorry lady’s I’m not interested,” I said laughing at our conversation Gabriel moved off the floor and sat next to me on the couch bringing the puppy with her.

“That’s not fair because she’s a girl” Matt said I rolled my eyes at that.

“So its common sense I never had a real girlfriend and I know you have to think about the present before you pick it out” I said the girls nodded in agreement Gabriel laughed drinking her eggnog.

“You should know what to buy them anyway they are your girlfriend’s Aly I’m sure you wanted that new line thing in Macy’s, Amber wanted a Nook, or any e reader and Jenna wanted well I don’t know what you wanted you tend to jump around a lot” I said scratching my head.

“See she knows exactly what we wanted and she doesn’t even go with us and she listens” Aly said shaking her head

“Ash you’re not helping our situation” They said glaring at me I held my hands up

“Anyways why did you guys come over here” I asked

“The trip just making sure everything went smooth with Gabriel” Alex said looking at Gabriel who nodded her head

“Yeah everything went great” She said I groaned she was looking at me with watery eyes.

“Please don’t start that again,” I said running my hands through my hair she nodded closing her eyes and putting he face in my side I sighed and looked at the other who were staring at her confused

“ Don’t ask,” I said shaking my head feeling her squirm in my side I sighed again.

“Okay back to topic everyone has their tickets right” I said everyone nodded

“Every one is packed” they nodded I guess me and Gabriele were left to pack

“And Sean you have the trucks”

“Well there was a problem the didn’t have any cars left on the lot so I just got the two trucks” he said I groaned just great.

“What kind of trucks” I asked

“Two escalades they can fit 7 to 8 each there are eleven of us” He said I nodded

“Okay I’m fine with that how bags do the girls have” I said looking at them

“I only have 4” Aly said I looked at Sean he shrugged

“Same with the rest of us” They said

“I guess we can use the extra room in the other truck for the bags” I said this isn’t going to go well with all of these bags especially when we head to New York.

“Okay then everyone’s set, me and matt will get the trucks and meet up here at 12 am on Tuesday and drive to Las Vegas rest up during the day and party hard at night then check out in the evening then fly to New York at night on the 29 the stay in new york till Sunday night and we fly back here” he said everyone nodded agreeing I think Gabriel just fell asleep because she isn’t moving.

“Well since that’s all you guys can go now” I said the girls looked at me.

“We came to see Gabriel not you so you cant kick us out” Aly said I laughed

“Gabby is asleep so leave, you’ll see her in a day” I said they looked over me at Gabriel and cursed under their breath I shifted looking at her and smiled her and the puppy were asleep so cute.

“Alright you win this time but we will be back” Jenna said I rolled my eyes at her and they walked out the house closing the door I sighed picking up Gabriel in my arms she still had the puppy held close to her as I walked down to the basement chuckling at them both I put them in the bed and grabbed my camera snapping a photo of them before I took her shoes of and slipped her jeans off of her I pulled the cover over and turned the lights out heading back up stairs I took off my shirt on my way up I have to change into something else.

“Where everyone go” Jesse asked confused

“They left Gabriel fell asleep and I told them to leave” I said walking past him and to the family room picking up my box with the muffler in it before I went upstairs knocking on the door when I didn’t get an answer I opened it, I heard a screech I closed my eyes and closed the door.

“Don’t you ever knock Ash” Rachel said I sighed she was having sex with some chick

“I did knock if you weren’t busy you would have known that I knocked” I said

“You can come in now” She said I opened the door and looked at the girl laying in her bed now I shook my head.

“Hey I’m Ash Rachel has a hard time introducing people don’t you” I said walking into the closet going all the way to the back of it and pulling out my grease stained overall I walked out the closet and went to the dresser and pulled out a beater.

“I didn’t get your name,” I said looking at the girl I know this is one of the ones Rachel just fools around with.

“My name is Diana,” She said looking me over as I pulled the beater over my head I smirked at her and she looked at me nervous.

“Nice to meet you Diana” I said heading to the door Rachel was standing there rolling her eyes at me I laughed.

“I’ll see you later Rach have fun” I said leaving out I took my pants off as I walked down the hall I flung them to the side before I slid the overalls up not bothering to put my arms through them I like to leave them on waste as I work I grabbed the box and went straight to the Garage I turned the Garage light on and smiled at my two babies before a got my foot stool and tool box and went to my all black chrome Harley Davidson it sat on the foot stool and pulled the muffler out the box and started putting it on the Harley soon I’ll be able to ride it.

(Gabriel POV)

I woke up in the dark with my arms wrapped around 13 I yawned and looked at the clock it was 6 pm I’ve been asleep for forever I put on some of Ash shorts while I groaned and picked up 13 before I walked out the room and upstairs to the kitchen looking for Ash.

“Guys have you seen Ash” I asked tiredly rubbing my eyes

“Garage” They all said at the same time I nodded and went to Garage when I opened the door she had this metal mask on and doing something to a motorcycle sparks were fling everywhere.

“Ash” I said loudly so she could her me she turned the thing off and turned to me lifting the mask off her face she had grease stains all over her.

“You’re finally awake” She said putting the silver thing down and stood up as I nodded she looked down at the bike frowning wiping her forehead.

“You can ride a motorcycle” I asked she nodded

“Yeah I had my license for awhile now and my family just brought me a new one” she said un covering one next to it I gasped.

“I know my baby is a beauty,” She said rubbing it I laughed at the affection look she had in her eyes.

“Yes it is nice” I said walking near it touching it with my finger lightly.

“When will that one be done,” I asked pointing to the black one

“As soon as I put the muffler on and install another gear shift then I can ride it” She said I nodded

“You want to ride,” She asked grinning at me

“Oh no I’d have a heart attack” She laughed and shook her head grabbing a towel to wipe her hands off.

“Come on then I’m going to shower then take you home” She said I nodded as we walked into the house and went straight downstairs. She grabbed a t-shirt and some shorts and went into the bathroom.

(Ash POV)

I had just dropped Gabriel off at her house before I went back home to pack my bags Tuesday was going to come fast and I needed to make sure I had everything ready to go I kept Gabriel’s ticket just in case she lost it. I pulled out two suitcases and started packing I needed my coat, thermals, my hat, and gloves, which I should already have and a weeks worth of outs fits. I went over to my closet grabbing shirts and jeans before I went to my dresser and took out all the underwear and underclothes I would need.

I had everything packed with 2 hours, I closed the suitcases and put it by my door

Before I left out to Gabriel’s house I walked up in the kitchen telling my dad I was leaving he simply nodded, while I grabbed my keys I walked out the house and got in my car and headed to Gabriel’s neighborhood stopping a block away as I usually did before I got out and walked up to her house when I got to the yard I went by her side of the house and climbed up the tree making sure not to make any noise I peeked in the window seeing her laying on the bed with the puppy on the floor in a dog bed. I opened the window and slipped inside.

“Gabs” I said she turned my way grinning at me as I slipped out my clothes and got into the bed next to her.

“I know I said it already but thanks Ash I really happy that you remembered” She said quietly as I moved over to her I smirked at her.

“Of course I would remembered, did you pack everything,” I said she nodded and pointed to the corner of her room I looked over she had 3 suitcases.

“Yeah, I have everything I need my dad brought me jacket hat and scarf already” She said

“What they say about the puppy” I asked I didn’t ask her dad if I could get her one even though the puppy was free I got it from a friend who’s Huskey had a liter of them.

“Kenzie loves it, my mom okay with it and my dad doesn’t really care as long as I potty train him” I chuckled at her

“You mean housetrain Gabs”

“Same thing” She mumbled while I laughed and reached over her to turn out the lamp.

“Nighty night Gabs” I mumbled again her lips kissing her softly

“Hmm night Lee” She mumbled kissing me also before she curled up to me bringing the covers close to us.
