Chapter 9

(ASH POV)

"It's just another manic Monday I wish it was Sunday cause that's my funday, my I don't have to runday, It's just another manic Monday" I bang my head on the desk repeatedly as Alex kept singing the stupid song 'Manic Monday' by the Bangles. He's been singing since we arrived to class and he won't stop. I continued to bang my head on the desk.

"Alex please shut up we get it, it's a manic Monday so shut up" I groaned at him still hitting my head as he sung louder.

"You know hitting your head isn't going to help Ash" I heard an angelic voice say I raised my head to see that it was Gabriel standing there smirking at me I frowned at her.

"Yes it is, maybe I'll knock myself out"

"At the rate you're going I wouldn't be surprised if you did" She replied sitting next to me. I laughed

"Well its better than listening to that idiot" she laughed and shook her head

"So how was the rest of your weekend" I asked she scrunched up her face

"Well my parents and sister came back yesterday and we had to have family time what about you" I laughed as she air quoted family time.

"It couldn't have been that bad and as you know I had to get my haircut" I pointed to my hair I got it cut in a faux hawk hairstyle.

"Yes it was that bad and I like it I can see your face now" she pulled on a strand of my hair.

"Hey no touchy" I grabbed her wrist and pulled it down from my hair

"But I just want to touch it" She reached for it with her other hand I grabbed it.

"No now be a good little girl and do as you're told," I scolded her she played along and pouted at me

"Yes daddy" she mumbled I smiled at her and tapped her nose trying to hold back my laugh as she scrunched up her face.

"Now see this isn't so bad is it"

"I don't see why I can't touch it you're so mean to me" She whined smirking

"Hey I'll take you to get some ice cream if you stop pouting and be a happy little girl for daddy" I told her patting her head.

"Only if you take me to cold stone and get me a puppy" she crossed her arms frowning.

"Gabby I don't know about the puppy sweetie, but I will think about it"

"What the hell?" I heard Alex say from behind Gabriel, Gabriel gasped and put her hands over her mouth.

"He said a bad word" she pointed at him; I crossed my arms a frowned at Alex who looked at me confused.

"You do not curse in front of my little Gabby do you understand me"

"What" he started, but was interrupted by Gabriel who was smirking?

"You in trouble, you in trouble" she sung, we both looked at each other and burst out laughing, while everyone looked at us confused.

"I thought you two weren't talking" Aly said looking between the two of us I shrugged my shoulders.

"Well we decided to start over" I heard groans from all the guys in the background wonder what's up their butts.

"I guess I'm going to have to step up my game" Alex mumbled turning to Gabriel with a twinkle in his eye, she looked at him sideways and turned to me.

"Can you please switch seats with me?" She begged with her hands clasps together I pretended to think about it.

"I don't know " She glared  I laughed and stood up.

"Thank you Ash" she jumped up and switched seats I had just sat down when I heard someone screech my name.

"Ash baby" Oh for the love of god, I turned to see Cynthia running towards my desk I groaned.

"Ash did you miss me baby?" she climbed on the desk and somehow ended up on my lap

"Miss you, what are you talking about?" Wasn't she here the last few weeks I mean sure I didn't see her, but then again I was avoiding her to.

"Ash stop playing I've been in Aruba for the last 2 weeks" she wrapped her arms around my neck pulling me closer. I moved my head back.

"Oh sorry I didn't notice" I replied back not really caring I heard Gabriel laugh, but tried to cover it up with a cough when Cynthia glared at her while I smirked.

"And who are you" She eyed Gabriel like she was trash, Gabriel looked at her and smiled.

"I'm Gabriel" Cynthia scoffed "so you're the one the boys here are trying to go after I don't see what there is to catch there is nothing special about you" I stood up making her fall to the floor.

"Ouch Ash that hurt" she complained I looked at her through narrow eyes

"Get out Cynthia" I told her grabbing her by her arm hauling her up I dragged her to the door.

"Aw come on Ash baby I was just playing" She whined she disgusted me some times

"Look if you want to be anywhere near me you need to respect my friends" I said she huffed before walking away. I sighed and made it back to my seat .

"Hey I could have handled that myself" Gabriel commented smirking I sighed again.

"I know but" Alex cut me off

"This great now I have a shot at Cynthia too" I groaned

"Alex when will you realize that they don't like you" I mumbled to him as the teacher came in to start class.

(Gabriel POV)

First period was fun other than the fact that Cynthia was there until Ash told her to leave, but it was entertaining watching her fall on the floor. Ash and I seem to be getting along just great it was like we were best friends; I love how we can joke around with each other and not get mad.

Anyways I haven't run into Declan yet and I hope I don't t run into him soon, but so far I haven't seen him.

"So I see you and Ash are talking again" Samantha said giving me a knowing look. What is she thinking?

"Yea" I eyed her suspiciously as she smiled at me

"So I'm going to assume it happen at the party." she asked as we entered the cafeteria I stopped walking and looked at her. Did she know what happened to me, but Ash told me that nobody saw us leaving.

"What do you mean?" we walked to our table and sat down.

"Well when Ash left you were nowhere to be found," she said smirking like she knew what happened. Jenna gasped

"OMG you and Ash hooked up I knew it was going to happen" she squealed causing half the cafeteria to turn in our direction. I turned red and I shushed her.

"Keep it down and we did not hookup" I hissed at her, she looked at me not believing a word I just said.

"You don't have to lie I would do her too you know" She whispered back winking I glared at her as the others chuckled at us.

"And here comes lover boy number two you have your hands full don't you?" she whispered waving at someone behind me. Lover boy number 2 that doesn't make sense I don't hang out with any boys in this school.

"Hey Gabriel can we go talk" I cringed as I felt his hand on my shoulder I turned around to see Declan smiling at me like he didn't do anything wrong. I shook my head at him looking him in the eye.

"Leave me alone" I saw a flash of anger and felt his hand tighten on my shoulder causing me to flinch slightly.

(ASH POV)

We were all sitting at our lunch table joking around when I heard a squeal from Gabriel table I turned toward them to see that it was Jenna smiling at Gabriel who was red for some reason, I watched as the others at her table laugh. I couldn't help, but smile seeing that she look happy and back to her normal self.

"Ash please stop looking at the girl like a creepy stalker" Aly said to me I turned glared I'm not looking at her like a stalker am I.

"So tell us what happened between you two?" Sean asked I looked at him and shrugged.

"Nothing happened why do you think that"

"Well seeing as though both of your where about to kill each other for the past two weeks and now you guys are acting like best friends" he said with his eyebrow raised at me.

"What we weren't trying to kill each other we just had a small disagreement" I told him crossing my arms.

Aly laughed "Small! Ash you two were glaring at each other trust me if looks could kill both of y'all would be dead" Okay, I admit we were glaring at each other a lot during the weeks and we had a few arguments, but they weren't that bad were they.

"Whatever we decided to forget everything and start over that's the end of it," I told them Alex looked at me frowning

"You are always ruining my chance at getting girls  I could have reeled her in if you weren't so selfish and became friends with her again I almost had her" I laughed  and patted him on his back as he pouted.

" Alex just so you now she never liked you that way in fact she pretty much was freaked out by you" I told him soothingly he looked down at his plate pushing his peas around mumbling something about bait and hooks.

"Alex she's not a fish worms aren't going to help in fact it'll do the opposite" Sean said laughing along with me. Sean continued to talk to Alex I looked at Aly to see that she had a serious look on her.

"Ash I thought I told you to tell her to stay away from Declan" She whispered to me I stared at her confused what the hell is she talking about.

"I did and she not going anywhere near him why" She pointed to Gabriel's table. I focused my attention on Declan I could tell from his eyes that he was angry and that his grip was tight on her shoulder. To other people it may have seemed like a friendly gesture, but I could see that Gabriel was cringing ; fear was evident in her eyes.  I stood upand made my way over to the table.
