Chapter 31 He Was Insanely Jealous

When Qin Yue returned to Kan Chen’s house, the butler was discussing matters with him in the living room.

Seeing her return, his expression darkened. “Where did you go?”

“I went to the police station. Li Mo was helping me to investigate something.”

Qin Yue also sensed that something was wrong with Kan Chen’s expression, and she realized that the butler was giving her a strange look.

What happened to Kan Chen? I don’t recall provoking him.

“What about yesterday afternoon?”

“Investigating something. With Li Mo.”

“And last Tuesday?”

Qin Yue recalled the shootout at the bar last Tuesday, and she didn’t notice the butler shaking his head furiously. “At the police station. With Li Mo.”

Kan Chen snorted coldly, and the atmosphere became solemn.

The butler shook his head helplessly.

Miss Qin is a smart person. Why don’t you understand my gaze?

It was only after dinner that Qin Yue picked up Li Mo’s call. Li Mo’s tone was a little agitated, and he asked her to meet him for a chat.

Just as Qin Yue got dressed and was about to leave, Kan Chen finally said, “I’ll send you there.”

Qin Yue shook her head. “It’s fine. I can drive

myself.”

Kan Chen blocked the door and hugged her waist tightly, then started mocking her, “Do you want to marry him instead? That’ll save you the trouble of having to meet him outside every day!”

Qin Yue was stunned. “I just asked him to help me investigate the case. Wait, are you jealous?”

“Is it because my family isn’t powerful enough? Why do you have to work with him on a case? Does investigating a case require so much time?”

Kan Chen roared. He knew very well that Qin Yue wouldn’t do anything overboard with other men, but whenever other men approached her, he felt inexplicably unhappy!

Qin Yue felt both angry and amused.

In front of others, he was like an intimidating lion, but every time he faced Qin Yue, he would appear so childish.

Qin Yue tiptoed and caressed his hair. “Alright, alright. Let’s go and look for Li Mo together. Are you happy now?”

In a small bar by the road, Qin Yue awkwardly looked at Kan Chen and Li Mo as they sat opposite each other. Both of their gazes were unfriendly.

When Li Mo saw Kan Chen, he immediately became hostile, unwilling to tell Qin Yue what he had found out.

Qin Yue excused herself and went to the washroom. When she returned, she realized that her table was packed with people.

These two childish people!

Qin Yue cursed them in her heart. They actually ordered a table full of whiskeys and started drinking!

It wasn’t easy for Qin Yue to squeeze into the crowd, and the two men were surrounded by screaming women.

“Come on, handsome! You’re so cute!” A woman shouted in Li Mo’s ear.

“Give him a taste of his own medicine! You can do it!” Another woman cheered Kan Chen on.

Before long, the table was filled with empty bottles. Kan Chen was the first to fall asleep on the sofa.

Everyone cheered. Li Mo swayed as he stood up, then vomited on the ground.

The people around him made sounds of disgust and quickly dispersed.

Sighing helplessly, Qin Yue called Kan Chen’s butler. Kan Chen was sleeping soundly, and had even started snoring. However, Li Mo’s condition wasn’t any better, and he had already started acting crazy.

“What happened to you today? What exactly did you find out?” Qin Yue supported the delirious Li Mo.

Li Mo poured the water in the cup onto his head and held Qin Yue’s hand tightly. “Come! Come with me! You’re my… My best friend. I can’t let you be in danger!”

Li Mo was very strong, and he had already pulled Qin Yue to the entrance of the bar. When Qin Yue saw that Kan Chen’s butler had already arrived, she hurriedly shouted, “You’re drunk! I’ll get the butler to send you home first!”

Kan Chen’s butler asked the bodyguards to take care of Kan Chen, then walked over to help Li Mo up.

As though he had been provoked, Li Mo suddenly took out his gun and pressed it against the butler’s forehead. “What are you trying to do?!”

“Li Mo, stop! This is Kan Chen’s butler!” Qin Yue exclaimed.

Li Mo’s actions terrified the passersby at the entrance of the bar.

Kan Chen’s butler raised his hands high and observed that Li Mo was still drunk. After apologizing to Li Mo, he snatched the latter’s pistol in an instant.

In order to prevent Li Mo from injuring passersby, a few bodyguards rushed over and pressed the drunk Li Mo onto the ground.

As though he had gone mad, he struggled and shouted at Qin Yue, “Qin Yue, run quickly! Leave Kan Chen quickly! He’s been lying to you! He’ll kill you!”
