The glaring sunlight woke Qin Yue up. Beside her, Kan Chen was topless. He lay on the bed and kissed her forehead.

“Good morning, lazy kitten. We’ll be very busy today. We have to go back to my family’s mansion to visit my mother, and also to discuss the collaboration with your father.”

Qin Yue rubbed her eyes and lay in his arms without saying a word.

Over the past few days, Qin Yue couldn’t contact Li Mo. His colleague at the police station told her that he had been sent overseas to investigate an important case.

She was still thinking about what Li Mo had said when he was drunk – Kan Chen was lying to her.

Those words were like nails that pierced into Qin Yue’s heart.

When they arrived at the Kan Chen’s family mansion, Xu Lan welcomed them. “Work at the company has been exceptionally busy recently. It’s been hard on the two of you.” Xu Lan specially prepared Qin Yue’s favorite dessert.

“Kan Chen’s father has been busy with work overseas. If your family has any requests with regard to the collaboration, you can just tell Kan Chen. When Kan Chen’s father returns, the both of you should be prepared to get married.”

Xu Lan held Qin Yue’s hand and escorted Kan Chen and her out, then presented a luxurious diamond necklace to her.

Xu Lan insisted on helping Qin Yue put on the necklace.

Qin Yue’s body stiffened. “Your eyes really look like your mother’s. She must be very happy to see you in heaven.”

“You knew my mother?” Qin Yue was a little surprised.

Xu Lan’s expression changed, and she looked a little awkward. At this moment, Kan Chen suddenly walked over and wrapped his arm around Qin Yue’s shoulders. “Ah! You actually gave the necklace that was passed down from your ancestors to her. Are you admitting that she’s your daughter-in-law?”

too.”

Qin Yue was seated outside the meeting room of the Kunxiao Corporation, and her bodyguards were massaging her shoulders.

“Young Miss, is there anything else you need us to do?” Qin Yue’s bodyguards were especially attentive.

Ever since the battle between Qin Yue and Scarface, they realized that their Young Miss was becoming more and more like Rose. She had extraordinary courage and was worthy of their loyalty.

Qin Yue shook her head.

She was a little unhappy.

Although Xu Lan had already accepted her, Qin Ze’s attitude towards her was still lukewarm.

Qin Ze frowned and sighed. He quickly apologized to Kan Chen, hoping that he could forgive Qin Yue for her tardiness.

To Qin Ze’s surprise, not only did Kan Chen not blame Qin Yue for her rude behavior, he even signaled for him to lower his voice.

Kan Chen quietly walked to her side with a loving gaze. He carefully carried her out of the office, afraid that he would wake her up.

When the employees in the office saw their Young Miss being pampered by the President of the Kan family, they quietly praised this enviable couple.

Only Qin Ze looked at their figures, and his expression became even more serious.
