Theo- mate
beta's alpha (completed)
I didn't waste a second before going down the steps and into the crowd that started moving apart to enjoy the festivities. I got many happy birthdays and hugs it was great feeling.
"gentlemen" I noticed Mathews, Jason and Mallory, some of the elders of the pack come towards us.
"congratulations," they said almost at the same time, I was often nervous around them, they knew of me bring girls to the house and highly disapproved, they normal ask if I have a girlfriend and I surprised they hadn't said anything yet.
"no girlfriend tonight Theo" I spoke to soon, but I bit my lip and shook my head causing them to give me a look of disproval.
"I'm sure my father mention the plan for the new school" Alex went straight professional like always, I would hate having his job.
I left Alex to deal with the discussion of building, it wasn't my thing, I wanted to enjoy my last night. I made my way around playing with some of the kids in ring toss and tag. i knew everyone which I should since I'm future beta. I talked to Megan who was our doctor in training who just had twins and ate more food that physically possible.
"Theo" I smiled as I saw my buddies, they were mostly the sons of hunters, I got to know them from school. They were on the football team and when I joined they took me in like a brother. Alex wasn't a fan of sports but he did often help the cheer squad when making the periomid but I pretty sure they only want too look at him. He was a attractive guy compared to most that went to our school.
"my dudes" I said grabbing each of their hands as they waited in line for the mud pit. Most of the guys were the only ones who played. The goal was to get your opponent to the ground and stay there. Other than that, there was no rules.
"You playing" max asked as he took off his shirt ready, he was the biggest guy out of all of us but he crumbled like a rock if you knew where to hit.
"sorry I call dibs" I smirked hoping he would show, I watched as the crowd split to let Alex into the middle. I laughed taking off my shirt stepping into the slippery mud with him.
"ready to lose again Hasting" I said using his last name making him growl at me.
"bring it shorty" he rebuked causing ooh's to go through the crowd.
I watched as Jessica one of the pack elders hold the flag ready to start the match. When it started Alex moved first which was his first mistake. I ducked jumping up kicking him I he back making him fall face first. He came back quickly tackling me. but luckily I was small and got out from under him and held his arm as my legs wrapped around his neck. He looked ready to fight back but a voiced forced us to stop.
"it's time" I rolled off Alex knowing what it meant, it was time for the cake, it was time for me to turn 18. I helped Alex up smiling at him chuckling at the mud that smudged his face. He laughed to before shoving me back into the mud and taking off towards the barn. I smiled for I loved to race.
He barley won but when we got there his mother glared at us noticing out muddy clothes. She used her sleeve and saliva to whip some of the mud off our cheeks like the mother she was. After my mother died she took me on as her own and I think she glad to have a child that actually needed help, unlike Alex who did everything he was supposed to.
Once we were finished I followed Alex as he made our way through everyone to the stage.I grabbed Alex's hand as he helped me on stage behind the back side of cake, I smiled at everyone as the began to cram into the barn that surprising was big enough, barely. There was only 18 candles but I didn't want my own set, I loved sharing with Alex. We shared everything even clothes, we were more than best friends, we were family.
I looked over at Alex in is usual spot looking at the clock behind us waiting for the clock to strike before blowing the candles with me. There was one year when he was looking I blew them out first but it earned me a smack to the head by my mama. Then everyone began to chant as it reach only 10 seconds, my smile grew as I impatiently waited for it to reach one, when it was 5 Alex looked at me smiling before getting into position to blow on the flams that dripped wax on the red frosting.
5 I smirked at Alex getting closer ready to blow more than him.
4 He chuckled knowing that like always I was making a competition out of nothing.
3 The crowd grew louder
2 I stared at the orange flam surprised by how slow a second was

I leaned forward blowing my breath taking out as many candles as I could, everyone was clapping making me so excited. My senses were different everything was stronger, well only one smell was. I ignored the stand up and turning to Alex ready to hug him like I always did.
Then it happened.
I couldn't breath as I stared at his deep brown eyes, everything around me felt like it was gone, leaving me in a empty room with him. His sent entered my nostrils leaving my brain fussy, I almost felt drunk off it. My wolf bursted with life from inside my chest, wanting to get closer to him.
I knew what it meant, so did my wolf as he screamed in my skull shaking my body to the core
