Chapter 127 - Filled with Bad Ideas!
The Bigshot Shocks The World When She Backs Home
Yao Tang, after all, was very smart. She did everything for a reason, and Qin Jing shouldnât underestimate her.
Yet, this person who had claimed to be her sister was only spouting a series of nonsense!
She gritted her teeth. This Yao Family truly is one for the books.
Yao Ranâs smile was frozen to her face, clenching her fists. âThe teachers in our class are truly the very best. The students they had taught previously all topped the college entrance exam. It will be a good choice for your future.â
âIs that all?â Qin Jing said coldly.
âNo.â
âAll right.â Without another word, she turned her back on the girl and returned to her classroom.
Yao Ran icily gazed at her back before leaving Class 20.
âHey, why was she looking for you?â
Meng Yang who had seen Qin Jingreturn, immediately went up to ask.
Although Qin Jing had no idea about the Yang Rongincident, the eldest daughter of the Qin Family wouldâve likely gotten a feel of Yao Ran.
âUgh! She immediately talked crap about Yao Tang before asking me to switch classes with her.â
Qin Jing slammed her book onto the table. âI canât believe people canât see her for what she truly is,â she spat. âShe doesnât even hold a candle to our Yao Tang.â
âYeah. Let me tell you-that girl may look weak, but sheâs truly evil.â
Glancing from side to side, Meng Yang lowered his voice. âIn the past, she even instructed Ruan Qingto âexposeâ Sister Tangin hopes of kicking her out of school. Itâs a good thing Sister Tanghad the proof she needed, butâ¦â
His face had already grown bright red at the memory.
âDonât worry, I wonât believe a word that comes out of her mouth.â Qin Jing nodded rapidly. âIâll follow Sister Tangto the ends of the world!â
Meng Yang simply smiled in response.
It was a holiday today, so they got an afternoon off.
Yao Tang and Lin Xinwere walking to the dormitory building when her phone started to ring. She picked it up and answered it, âHello?â
âItâs a holiday, right? Iâll wait for you by the school gate,â a familiar voice sounded from the other end of the line.
It was Cheng Yan!
âSure.â
After hanging up, she turned around and saw Lin Xin gazing at her. âIs that Mr. Cheng?â
âYeah.â She nodded, excusing herself out of the dormitory. As soon as she came out, she saw Cheng Yan standing by the roadside. The sunlight shone over him, highlighting his tall figure. Yao Tang slowly walked over.
However, instead of being greeted by his bright smile, she was only met with furrowed eyebrows and pursed lips.
âWhy didnât you tell me about what happened?â he said lowly. âI only found out about the forum incident from someone else.â
Yao Tang turned her face slightly and gazed up at him, not saying a word.
Neither of them moved. They simply stared into each otherâs eyes for what seemed like forever, as if daring the other to speak. Finally, Cheng Yan helplessly pulled away.
âWhen are you going to believe that Iâll be there to help you? No matter how small or large.â
After so many things had happened to her, she didnât bother to give him a call.
Itâs as if she didnât even care for him.
âI know that,â she said with no hesitation. âIâm just used to relying on myself. Thatâs all.â
Thatâs how it had always been. She had never thought that there was someone else she could rely on.
She didnât really care if it were a man or a woman.
Whenever she had encountered a problem, sheâd think about how to solve it herself.
Cheng Yan sighed, but a smile had finally returned to his features. âGet in the car,â he said, opening the door for her. âItâs windy out. You might catch a cold.â
âOkay,â Yao Tang replied and got into the car.
Cheng San kept a certain distance from the pair. As soon as he saw them enter, he turned his head. âYoung Master Cheng, should we head back to the Imperial Palace?â
âLetâs go to Tian Run Mall.â
âAll right.â
Yao Tang saw a cup of milk tea and a mango chiffon cake. Glancing up at Cheng Yan, her lips twitched. âThank you.â
He knew that she hadnât eaten yet, so he even managed to buy her some snacks.
How thoughtful!
He passed her the milk tea. âThatâs a good start you know-saying thank you.â
She was used to relying on herself?
Then heâd just have to let her get used to him sticking by her side. That way, she didnât have to be so reliant on herself. After all, carrying that burden all on her own was exhausting.
Yao Tang raised her eyebrows slightly. Reaching to take the drink, she took a sip. It was sweet, with a hint of strawberry.
âWhat are you planning on doing now?â
âIâm heading to the supermarket.â He shrugged. âWhat do you want to eat tonight?â
âYou came all the way here to cook for me?â
âEither we eat out or I cook for you.â He shrugged. âChoose one.â
It was a rarity to meet with her, so he might as well make this day worthwhile.
