“I guess you don’t like it. That’s okay, next time I’ll get you something that I like.”

Qin Jing did not acknowledge her.

Yao Ran pressed her lips tightly together and put the fruit tea away.

“Qin Jing, I want to tell you that I really want us to be classmates. It doesn’t matter what you think of me, you are always welcome to join our class!”

Her tone was eager and full of what sounded like sincerity. There was expectation there, too.

Qin Jing smirked in amazement. ‘This girl is really tenacious. No matter what I say, it just bounces right off her.’

“Stop patronizing me,” Qin Jing retorted. “Let me ask you this, the other day when you came to our house with your father, were you or were you not intending to secure the possibility of marriage with my brother?”

She might as well nip it in the bud and put Yao Ranin her place once and for all.
