Chapter 191 - The Necklace Is a Fake!

When this well-dressed woman had come out, everyone was surprised. They all shared glances, unsure as to whether or not she was telling the truth. However, how could they not believe her?

The young lady was none other than Zhu Lin, the only daughter of City A’s famous jeweler.

Everyone instantly believed the necklace to indeed be precious and expensive. However, they couldn’t help but be curious as to how Yao Tang was able to afford it.

Even Yao Ran included herself in the conversation.

“My sister is currently living in school, and from what I know, she doesn’t have any source of income. If the necklace truly is as limited as you say, then it’s not something a normal person could acquire, right?”

Yao Ran deliberately diverted her gaze from the crowd and glanced at Zhu Lin. “My sister has no wealth or power, so the necklace must not be real, right?”

Her voice sounded embarrassed.

As she spoke, she glanced at her sister. “Right?”

Everyone’s gazes shifted to and from the pair, unsure as to who they should listen to.

“That’s right. Could she even afford the necklace?”

“Right? How can she have such a limited edition necklace?”

“Where could she get the money from?”

“I don’t believe it!”

“Me too!”

Everyone discussed amongst themselves, arching their eyebrows at the glittering necklace. Although they could afford the global limited edition necklace, they could not just casually buy and give it away just as they please.

The necklace must be fake!

It must be a replica.

“Hm, I don’t think it’s a fake.” Zhu Lin pursed her lips and take a step closer. She found a QR code at the side of the box and glanced up at Qin Jing. “May I?”

Under everyone’s calculating gaze, she took out her phone to scan the QR Code.

When the Code came back, her frown deepened. A look of disbelief flashed across her face, and she couldn’t find it in herself to say anything else. Why wasn’t it in the database?

“So, it is a fake!”

Yao Ran had assumed that the reaction was associated with the necklace being a fake. Her smile widened even further as she snorted at the sight.

Even Qin Man couldn’t hide her joy. “Yao Tangreally dared to take out a fake to manipulate Miss Qin!” She shook her head. “Is this not a form of bullying?”

She stared at the young woman mockingly.

Not only was she speaking ill of Yao Tang, but also the birthday celebrant. She had the nerve to insinuate that Qin Jing didn’t know how to recognize the authenticity of the gifts. Upon hearing this, the young woman clenched her fists.

Qin Jing was just about to teach the old woman a lesson when Zhu Linscreamed right behind her. Excitement danced in her eyes as she stared at the necklace in awe.

It was as if she had seen her idol in person.

“I was wrong! I was...” Zhu Lin held the box in her hands as if she were actually holding a treasure chest.

“This necklace,” she stuttered. “This isn’t part of the limited series. This... it was a sample created by the designer himself!”

“Usually, the first design isn’t released to the public as it undergoes many revisions, but...” She stared at the box for a very long time. “I’ve never seen anyone who had gotten their hands on it until today.”

“Yao Tang, you may not know me, but I am the heiress of the top jewelry makers in the country. I just have to ask...do you have any more necklaces made by the same designer? If you do, I’ll be happy to buy it. Name your price!”

Zhu Lin stepped closer.
