Unwilling to be outdone, she glared. “What kind of place do you think this is?” she demanded. “A casino? This is a competition. We shouldn’t make any bets.”

Yao Tang didn’t answer. Instead, she fixed her gaze on the clock. “Let’s make a bet. The bell will ring at 2:02, wouldn’t it? Let’s see if the clock is accurate.”

Yao Ran pursed her lips.

Yu Shu, not wanting to be put to shame, clenched her fists. The last thing she wanted was to be embarrassed by this country bumpkin. “Fine. Let’s make a bet. If the clock is correct, then you’ll be disqualified from the exam. Yu Shu paled. She glanced at the clock on the wall, only to see that it was 2:02:31.
