Chapter 279 - The Trending Post

In time, there were more people who agreed with the blogger.

It seemed that his post didn’t garner any positive response. In fact, it had just attracted more people to speculate as to whether or not it was real in the first place.

Zhang Dong’s eyes widened when he saw the statistics of his post.

There were hundreds of comments under his posts, and his video now had 50 million views!

After seeing their comments, he immediately posted another paragraph, explaining the situation to all the tennis enthusiasts.

“Hello, everyone. The reason I shared this video was that I believed it to be a very good match. I hoped to discuss it with all of you, but I didn’t think that you’d be speculating the reliability of this video instead.”

“Wanting to clear things out, I have taken this video from a student of my school. It was a competitive match between two pairs of students. There are no fake shots. Please stop guessing. Thank you, everyone, for your understanding.”

He had thought that his explanation would be enough.

However, it seemed that the people had even grown more agitated.

“How is it possible? If you’re telling the truth and the level of skill she has is extremely high, how could she still be in school? Could it be edited by your school’s students?”

“People nowadays don’t know how to lie. Fine, since it’s from your school, how would you explain it?”

“Although they were wearing uniforms, they don’t have to be students, right?”

“The guy just wants to trend. That’s why he posted this fake video!”

“Someone must have staged this video at school, expecting to be famous. How could a school tolerate a staged video like this? It’s high time we investigate this school.”

Zhang Dong felt like he was frozen in time. His heart thumped anxiously in his chest as his hands trembled, clutching his phone. He chewed on his bottom lip.

“The video really is real! Why would I lie to you? You can watch it all you want.”

“Look, there were many videos taken by our classmates. You can watch them all you want.”

“Our school is known for being upright and honest. It is not what you think.”

Zhang Dong tried to explain his case to everyone around him, expecting that the rumors would come to an end. However, he didn’t expect that they’d continue to speculate even more.

“Please, do you really think we’re fools? Why are there blanks in the other videos?”

“Do all of your classmates’ phones have bad internet?”

Even if there were a few people who believed him, they were still drowned out by the majority’s disapproval.

They just didn’t know the truth!

There was a blogger who was a known expert in technology. He had stated that the video wasn’t fake, but even then, hundreds of people rushed to respond to him, ridiculing his beliefs.

The situation had really gotten out of hand.

Zhang Dong could feel sweat trickling down his neck. “Look,” he typed down. “All of these videos were shot on the spot. There is nothing fake about these videos.”

Yet, the ridicule continued.

“Damn, they’re really that desperate to earn, huh? They’re really bad liars.”

“This must be a set-up. I mean, they couldn’t even show their faces. Are they afraid of being recognized?”

“I see that someone was wearing a school uniform. I wonder where she’s from. Could someone investigate for us?”
