The Head of the Yang Family ignored his bodyguard and continued to look around. He was still calling out at the wall, in hopes that the intruder would reply.

Just as he was busy racking his brain, one of the bodyguards immediately called out, “Sir, I know where the voice had come from!”

Yang Jiang whirled around to see his bodyguard squatting right beside the chair. The younger man’s eyes were narrowed as he observed the chair’s legs.

He made a small gesture, and Yang Jiang’s eyes widened in realization. “Where is it?”

“Here.”

He flipped the chair over, and they could see a black device stuck under the chair. It was a listening device!

That meant that his study was bugged!

That person must’ve used these devices to transmit their sounds as well as the intruder’s voice. It was meant to intimidate them.

In the end, the person wasn’t really here.

“Since these rats like to hide in all the dark corners, then I’ll just have to make sure that they never see the light of day ever again.”

Yang Jiang made a hand gesture, and the bodyguard destroyed the device in an instant.

Even then, he didn’t seem satisfied as he swiped the cup to the side, letting it smash onto the ground. He was a fool! How could this have happened?

He was actually fooled by someone!

“Search for him,” he commanded. “Search every corner of this house. We must find him!”

However, before they could head out of the study, they heard a feminine scream echoing from the second floor. It was from the other end of the hall.

“Who are you? Why are you here?”

Yang Jiang froze.

He hadn’t let outsiders know his whereabouts, so it wouldn’t be convenient for him to go out like this. It was why he could only check his surveillance cameras.

He immediately walked to his computer and checked the surveillance cameras positioned around his corridor.

It was filled with people. All of them he had recognized as the people who were invited to the banquet.

However, they didn’t look like they were enjoying their time. Instead, they were huddled together, whispering to one another. What was happening?

He narrowed his eyes to see that the room was the same room Yang Nian had entered. Did something happen to him?

There, he saw Yang Nian with his arms wrapped around a young girl. His eyes were dull and wide as if he didn’t expect this situation to happen.
