Chapter 10 - No escape plan

Xander's P.O.V.

When I woke up in the morning, Arianna was sleeping in my arms. She put her hand on my chest. I kissed her forehead and got up. I went to the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom, she was still sleeping like an angel. After I put my clothes on, I called my father again.

"Good morning, son."

"Good morning, dad. How are you?"

"I'm fine. How are you and Arianna?"

"We are fine. Did you talk to David? When is the meeting going to take place?"

"I talked to him, son. There was an emergency, and he can’t make it to the meeting. So, the meeting is canceled."

"…Dad, you aren’t hiding anything from me, are you?"

"No, my son. What will I hide?"

"Okay, then we're going back tonight."

"See you later, son."

My father was planning something. He wanted Arianna and I to stay alone, but why? It was strange. Did he want us to be together? And he also didn’t bring up the Sophia topic again, too. I knew my father, he would do something to convince me at least to go on a date. My mother didn’t try to talk to me and persuade me either. But after that, none of them had ever opened that topic again. Maybe they had arranged something here, but why did they want me to go with Arianna?

Sophia's P.O.V.

Xander was not in the bed. I wrapped the cover around my body and got up. Xander was in the living room. He looked at his phone. He was lost in his thoughts.

"Xander." He did not answer. I call his name again, "Xander?"

"Yes, baby."

"Are you fine? You got lost in your thought."

"Nothing. The meeting was canceled. He won’t be coming."

"Ok. I will take a shower."

He was still thinking. Something definitely happened. I took a shower and put my clothes on. We went to have breakfast. After breakfast, we decided to go to the sea. We changed our clothes and went to the beach. We swam together. Later I went to rest on the sun lounger. Xander was swimming. I lay down on the sun lounger and was looking at him.

He was so handsome and sexy. My handsome. On the other side, I saw two girls, talking while they were staring at him. I was jealous. I got up and went towards him. I hugged him and kissed his lips. He hugged and kissed me back. Then I looked at the girls. Their faces were sulky. They started to pick up their stuff.

"Where are you looking?" he asked while looking the way I had looked at. He saw the girls and understood the situation. He grinned at me and asked, "Really?"

"What?" I shrugged my shoulders as I asked him.

"Is my baby jealous?" he asked and pulled me closer to him.

"Yes, you are mine."

He smiled. He gave a kiss on my forehead, "I am yours, my angel."

Suddenly, he scooped me up in his arms bridal style. "What are you doing? Put me down."

He shook his head and dropped me in the water. He smiled and jumped into the water as well. After, we went to the room and took a shower. We were returning back today. These two days were one of the most beautiful, unforgettable days of my life. We picked up our suitcases and left.

We finally arrived at my apartment. Xander got out of the car. He picked up my suitcase. "Do you want to come home?"

"I want to, but I’m meeting my friend, James."

"Ok, but don’t be naughty!"

"Hmm. I will try," He grinned. I raised my eyebrow and looked at him. "Just joking." He hugged me with an amusing smile. I hugged him too and he kissed my lips. "Good night, my angel."

"Good night, baby." He waited for me to enter the apartment.

Xander's P.O.V.

After she entered the apartment I got in the car.

I entered the club. James was waiting for me at the bar counter. I gave him a side hug. We ordered our drinks.

"What happened? You look so happy."

"Beautiful things happened."

"I am sure she is beautiful. Tell me!" He smirked. I told him about Arianna. "Xander, I am really happy for you. I hope everything will be fine. I miss seeing you happy."

"I'm very happy, James. I'm in love with her."

"But be careful! I do not want to see you upset again."

"Don’t worry. It won’t happen again. I have a very good plan in my mind. The Lily situation won’t ever happen again. Even if Arianna wanted it, she won’t be able to escape from me."

"What plan?"

"I'll get her pregnant."

"…What? Are you crazy? A baby is a serious decision. You can’t do that just so she won’t run away from you."

"I know it's a serious decision. It’s not just to keep her with me forever, I want to have a baby as well. Our baby. I want her to carry a part of me in her belly."

"Propose to her at least before you do get her pregnant."

"I will propose to her too, but I also want the guarantee that she is pregnant before we get married. Let's just say, I'm speeding things up."

"Xander, you are really crazy."

"No, I am not. I just want her in my life. Maybe it's too late to cancel it."

"You mean…"

"Yeah."

This plan came to my mind before we made love. Our fight really made me upset. The thought she could run away from me made me mad. I was not going to let her run away from me.

2 weeks later

Xander's P.O.V.

I went to her office, the first thing I did when I had arrived at the holding. She concentrated on her paperwork. I leaned against the doorframe, staring at her. A few seconds later, she noticed me. She stood up and smiled at me. She came closer to me. I closed the door behind me. I approached her and wrapped my arms around her waist and claimed her lips. "I missed you, my angel."

"Me too, baby."

"You're mine tonight. We will leave the holding together today."

"Ok."

Then I went to my room. I remembered the previous incident. That incident confused my mind. I called Amelia, "Amelia, connect me to Lucas Allen."

"Alright, Mr. Knight."

A few seconds later, she connected me with him.

"Hello, Mr. Knight. Do you have an order?"

"I need information about Sophia Reynolds. Everything about her, from when she was born, to where she goes. Also, find out if she has any connections to David Johnson’s hotel. This will stay between us. Nobody will know."

"Alright, sir."
