Chapter 17 - The Devil is back
The Devil Wears Armani
Two days later
Sophia's P.O.V.
I packed my suitcases and left. I put my suitcases in the trunk. I went to my parent's house. I told them that I was going abroad today. I told them that I needed a little time to be alone. I went to our house that's away from the city.
I arrived at the house and settled in. I was hungry. I went to the kitchen and made something to eat. Then, I decided to watch a movie. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. I opened the door.
"Hi."
I was shocked to see who was at the door. Xander was standing in front of me, smiling at me. I didn't know whether to be surprised that he found me or of his attitude.
I gathered myself and asked, "What are you doing here?"
"You are so hospitable." I rolled my eyes. "If you let me, I'll come in."
"No. We have nothing to talk about."
"Are you sure?" He grinned with a mocking smile.
I let him walk in. He looked around the house and sat down on the couch. I followed him. I was standing in front of him and crossed my arms over my chest.
"Are you going to tell me what you're doing here?" I finally decided to ask him.
"I wanted to see you."
"You donât expect me to believe that you came here just because you missed me."
He stood up, putting his hands in his pocket. I stepped back. He looked at me smirking and said, "I didnât say that I missed you."
"How did you find me? I didnât tell my parents that I was going to be here."
"How quickly did you forget who I am? I just wasnât here for a week."
"Xander, can you go? Please!" He raised his eyebrows and shook his head. "Xander, it seems like Italy didnât affect you in a good way. I think you forgot what happened between us and now youâre standing in front of me as if nothing happened between us."
He moved closer to me. When I wanted to take a step back, my legs were pressed against the armchair. He smirked, "I didnât forget anything, not how you lied to meâ¦nor our passionate nights."
He ran his fingertip on my cheek. Even his little touch made my heart beat faster. He was up to something.
"Xander, that's enough. What do you want from me?"
"You called me."
"Yes, I did, but it was a mistake."
"What were you going to tell me?"
"Nothing. It doesn't matter."
"It doesn't matter?!" he repeated my sentence, raising his eyebrows in question.
"No, it doesnât."
"Donât say words that youâll regret."
"You are just talking nonsense. Go!"
"Is there anything you want to tell me?"
"â¦No, now go!"
He put his hand on my stomach. I was shocked. I couldn't move. "Are you sure?" I gathered myself and walked away. "By what right do you dare hide my baby from me?"
"Why should I tell you? So that you can say that I'm using my baby to marry you,â I said angrily.
"Our baby."
"And in this theme, you need to give me an explanation. By what right did you give me other pills? How dare you get me pregnant without asking me?" I asked angrily.
"So, you found out. I did it so you couldnât run away from me. I wanted to tie you to myself all the way. If I had a baby, I wanted him or her to be our baby."
"You're crazy."
"I'm not crazy. I wonât let the woman who I love...my woman, go. I have changed. I wonât let you go andâ¦you are 4 weeks pregnant. You must have gotten pregnant before you used the pills."
I was surprised. How did he know how far along I was? "How do you know how far along I am?"
He narrowed his eyes and asked, "Really?"
I breathed deeply. I was annoyed. "What if I get an abortion?"
He was angry. He clenched his jaw and said through gritted teeth, "Do you think that I would really let you do it? I told my bodyguard to follow you before going to Italy. I knew your every step." He came closer to me and grabbed my arm and continued through gritted teeth, "And donât you bring that word to your mouth again."
"Let go of my arm!" I pulled my arm away.
"Did you ever think of anything like that for a moment?"
"Never," I whispered.
His eyes softened and he said, "Come on. We're going home. Grab your things."
"Iâm not going anywhere with you."
"You're coming with me. You're leaving with me in my car or by walking with me or in my arms."
"I said no."
"Okay, if you say so." He went to the bedroom and I followed him. He started putting my clothes into my suitcase.
"Get out of here! Who do you think you are? Give these orders to your employees. You canât tell me what to do or what not to do." But, he continued to put my clothes into my suitcase without answering. I took my clothes from his hand and threw it onto the bed. "XANDER!" I yelled at him.
"Donât get on my nerves! If I say you're coming with me, you will." He closed my suitcase. He took my bag and suitcases. He left the bedroom. He put my suitcase and my bag in the car. He came back and told me. "Come on."
"No, I donât want to."
"Okay."
He scooped me up in his arms bridal style and I began to scream, "LET GO OF ME!"
"Calm down, donât forget that you are pregnant."
"I hate you."
"I hate you too,â he said grinning. He opened the door and got me in the car. I looked at him angrily. He got in the car.
Xander was driving to his house so I asked him, "Where are you going? Take me to my house."
"No. You'll stay at my house. You will not leave my eyes for a second."
"Never. I wonât live in the same house with you."
"I donât remember asking for your opinion."
"XANDER!" He was driving the car without listening to me.
We arrived at his house. Xander got out of the car and opened the door for me. I crossed my arms over my chest and didnât get out of the car.
"Get out of the car, Sophia!"
"No."
"Youâre going to give me trouble, arenât you?!" He breathed deeply and grabbed my wrist, dragging me out of the car. He held my hand and headed us to the house.
"You canât keep me here by force. What will you tell my father when he hears of this?"
"Who said I will keep you here by force?! Your parents will think that you are at your house, for a while. We will get married later."
"What are you talking about?"
"I think you understood what I said. You are an intelligent woman."
"Xanderâ¦"
"We will get married, that is all. The marriage that you ran away from by planning your game will take place."
"Never."
"Okay. Then by tomorrow, all the world will know that youâre pregnant with my child and then we will see if we'll get married or not. Then our family, especially yours, will want this marriage."
"You canât do that!"
"Try me."
