CHAPTER 32

“Kade why are you ..” Before I can complete my question Mom, Dad and Josh entered in my room and rushed towards me. And I saw Kaden leave the room.

AANYA’S  POV:

Mom was the first to reach me and took me in a big hug. I groaned as she unknowingly squeezed me.

“Oh mera bacha! I am so sorry. Did I hurt you?” Mom asked and started crying.

“No Ma. Its ok. Why are you crying Ma?. Look I am good.” I smile at her and wipe her tears.

“No you are not. Look at you sweety. How can any1 do this to you.?” She took my face in her hands and kissed my forehead. I smiled at her controlling my tears.

Why is it always that when ever your mother asks you if you are ok? You would end up telling her everything and in my case I wanted to hold her and cry for as long as I wanted. But I know I was in no condition to move completely.

Dad came there and took her in his arms and she started crying more. He took her a little away and let Josh talk to me.  Josh came besides me and kissed my forehead. I smiled at him and placed my hand on the fresh scar that ran above his left eyebrow.

“Does it hurt?” I asked him.

He chuckled before answering me, “You’re the one who's on the hospital bed Aanya. And you are asking me if it hurts.” He shakes his head, a small smile on his lips.

“Hey I am the elder sibling here. Its my right to care for you.” I said. He rolled his eyes at this but none the less answered my question.

“It doesn’t hurt that much. Not something I can’t handle.” He gave me a small smile  “I am sorry Aanya. I promised I would protect you. I promised. You must be hating me now. I couldn’t be a good brother to you.” He looks so shattered. What is it with every1 telling me its their fault.

“Joshyyy!! You know I love you right, nothing can change that ever. And don’t you dare tell me you are not a good brother. You are the best brother any one can get. I am very lucky you are my baby brother. And you lived up to your promise. You saved me. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be here alive Josh.” I looked at him and continued,

“I have told you so many times Josh. Don’t let your anger come in between, when you are fighting. You never kill, Josh! It’s a promise you made too. Remember?” I whispered to him cause I know Ma and Dad would kill both of us for this.

He looked down on the floor and mumbled a quite yes. “I know Aanya. But when it comes to you I don’t care even if I have to kill.” He said. I looked at him wide eyes. I was about to tell him something when Dad came to us.

“Hey Muffin. How are you feeling?” Dad asked. I smiled widely at his nickname. He used to call me that when I was small.

“I am really good Dad. I just need to rest and I’ll be as good as new.” I said. “Where’s Ma?” I asked him when I didn’t see her.

“She is outside. You know how emotional she is. Ill bring her in after I calm her down.” He said.

“She loves her kids too much to calm down dad. And you know that.” Josh said and we all chuckled. “Yaa that’s right.”

We talked some more and then Dad said my friends where waiting outside to talk to me and he left. Josh stayed back. Sapphire was the first to come running towards me. Ben was right behind her. Josh stood in front of my bed instantly stopping them.

“GUYS!! Don’t jump on her. Relax. She is in pain.” Josh practically yelled at those two. Saph had her mouth hung low and looked at Josh in complete and utter shock.

“Josh! You think I don’t know that.” She said faked hurt, “It wasn’t like I was going to jump on her bed and squeeze her till I am satisfied.” She smiled innocently at him. I saw Zack standing behind them with his hands in his jeans pocket and smiling at her.

“Ya right!” Josh muttered rolling his eyes .

“Now move you oaf.” Saph said and Josh sighed but finally moved.

Saph still came to my side and squeezed me a little. “Neah I was so scared, you ass. You have no idea how much I wanted to kill you for getting kidnapped.” She said still holding me close.

“Ouch!!” She yelled. I looked around to see that Ben had hit her on the arm and was giving her a blank look. “Seriously Ben. Why would you hit me.?” She asked him. I was literally in the most awkward position. My face was buried into her chest and my right hand was around her and my left plastered hand was laying at my side. I pushed her a little and she let me go. She hopped of my bed and went towards Ben. Josh shook his head and left the room, smiling at me and mouthed that he will come back later.

I scanned the room for Kaden but I didn’t find him. I thought back at our kiss and the way he was behaving. I feel like somethings wrong. He is not telling me something.

I took my phone from the stand and dialed his no. Its ringing and ringing, he isnt picking up.

‘Answer the fucking phone you idiot' I yelled at him internally. But he didn’t ans.

I furrowed my eyebrows, called him again. Still he is not answering. I was so concentrating on Kaden that I didn’t realize Zack came and sat besides me on the chair.

“What’s wrong?” He asked. I jumped a little(as much as I can in this position)

“Nothing! Its nothing.” I said shaking my head and sent a msg to Kaden asking him where is he.

“Doesn’t look like nothing. You never miss to join them in an argument.” He said nodded towards Ben and Saph. I sighed. I was too worried about thinking What’s going on in Kaden’s mind. Why was he acting so different today?

“See that’s what I am talking about. Your spacing out a lot. Now I am going to ask you again, what’s wrong?” Zack said again.

“Where’s Kaden, Zack?” I asked him, countering his question.

“Kaden!

Obviously he is the problem. Don’t worry he sitting in the canteen. I bumped into him while coming upstairs.” Zack gave me small smile.

“Ok”  I gave him a nod, still not satisfied with the ans. That’s when Zack spoke again,

“He is blaming himself for what happened to you, Aanya.” Zack said. My head snapped towards him.

“What?” I ask slowly afraid of the ans. Saph came behind Zack and spoke,

“He says that it is his fault you are here in the hospital. He told me that Sarah was obsessed with him that’s why she went for you, Cameron is his enemy, he knew you were his weakness, that’s why he helped Sarah kidnap you. That’s what he told me Neah.” She said.

By this time tears were flowing freely from my eyes. ‘Why would he think like that. It wasn’t his fault. I have to talk to him.’ I wipe my tears and pick up my phone again, and dial him.

He doesn’t answer my call. I look at Zack, tears threatening to fall, “Can you please bring him here Zack. He isn’t answering my calls. Not replying to any of my text. Please Zack.” I tell him desperately wanting to talk to Kaden.

I shouldn't have let him leave. I knew something's wrong. Fu*k!!

“Of course Aanya. Relax. I’ll bring that idiot up.” He comes near and kisses my hand and leaves.
