Chapter 49 - Bewitching

Jiang Lu limped to her rest tent. She was extremely angry!

An assistant hugged the ice pack and wanted to help her apply cold compress on her swollen ankle. However, Jiang Lu waved her hand and knocked it off. She felt a faint pain in her affected area and frowned as she said in dissatisfaction, “Idiot! You’re hurting me! You can’t do anything right. Get out and stop loitering in front of me. It’s annoying!”

Jiang Lu used some medicine to relieve the pain. The assistant picked up the ice pack and did not dare make a sound.

Jiang Lu narrowed her eyes. She could not do anything to Lu Mian, so she might as well think of a way to kick Yu Wan out of the production team!

Yu Wan was a timid person. As long as something happened to her, it would prove that Jiang Zhi was not capable of bringing out a newbie!

What of Star Glory? What of its sole manager?

She wanted to prove that Jiang Zhi would not be able to do anything after the divorce!

Jiang Lu narrowed her eyes and looked at her assistant. She said in a slightly friendly manner, “Don’t pick it up. Have you heard anything new in the crew recently? Anything about Jiang Zhi or Yu Wan is fine.”

The gossip in the crew spread between the assistants and the staff.

“The new actress in the crew, Yin Yue, seems to have some background, but she had a fight with Jiang Zhi…”

The little assistant recalled Jiang Lu fiddling with her nails and thought of some ideas. She instructed the little assistant to sneak into the makeup room of the extras, to deliberately cut off a piece Yin Yue’s costume, and leave a “Star glory” staff pass nearby to wait for the show to begin!

“Jiang Zhi! Come out!”

Yin Yue threw the tattered costume in front of Jiang Zhi. She was so angry that her head was about to burst out with white smoke. She had already been reduced to a minor role, and even so, Jiang Zhi was still unwilling to let her go!

He looked at Yin Yue and said, “We won’t be filming your scenes today. I’ll ask the costume team to prepare two more sets of clothes for you. Who knows who might have left this pass behind. We’re all amiable, so let’s just forget about it!

“Miss Jiang, I still want to discuss the new script with you. Let’s go over there and talk?”

Director Zheng took Jiang Zhi away, leaving Yin Yue standing on the spot, looking absolutely disheveled!

She kicked the costume on the ground angrily, but Jiang Lu had appeared beside her at some point, pretending to be concerned.

“Are you okay? My sister’s position in the crew is very high. The director and the crew all listen to sister. You can’t beat her.”
