“How is that fine? My heart aches,” Luo Ying muttered in a low voice, her little face scrunched up.

Lu Zhao’s heart melted. This woman was so endearing that he could not help himself but fall deeper in love.

He didn’t want her to leave him. He did not want her to leave him for a single second.

He reached out and hugged Luo Ying, holding her tightly in his arms.

“I won’t let you leave me,” Lu Zhao said.

Luo Ying contentedly snuggled in Lu Zhao’s arms.

“I know, I know.” Luo Ying sat up and wrapped her arms around Lu Zhao’s neck, pressing the half of her face that wasn’t covered in medicine against Lu Zhao’s neck.

“I’ve asked the director for a leave. He said that he’ll find someone to replace me this week, and that I’m free to take the entire week off. We don’t have to stay in the hotel anymore. We can go straight home!” Luo Ying’s face was red with excitement when she talked about going home.

Lu Zhao ran his fingers through her hair. “Okay, let’s go home.”
