Yours, Forever
"I told you I don't need a damn wheelchair. I can walk just fine."
Xavier glared daggers at the nurse, causing her to flinch under his scrutiny. He didn't understand why he had to be pushed to his car waiting at the front of the hospital. He was more than capable of using his crutches for fuck's sake.
Despite it only being a couple of days, he was getting sick of staying at the hospital. But even then, all he wanted to do was go home.
"Mr. Knight, it's hospital protocol," replied the nurse timidly as she tried to grasp the handles, but stepped back when he shouted at her again.
"Well, I don't give a damn abo-"
"Is he giving you guys a hard time?"
The nurse sighed with relief as Aurora walked up to the group with a gentle smile on her face. Before he could make his escape, Aurora patted her boyfriend on the shoulder, preventing him from standing up from the wheelchair.
"But-"
She cut him off with a glare. "Hospital protocol is hospital protocol, babe. Now, sit and let her push you, so we can leave."
Xavier grumbled under his breath as he gave up the fight and sat slumped on the chair. While the nurse continued to push the wheelchair, Aurora bent down and whispered into his ear.
"If you behave, we'll do anything you want when we get back to your house," She kissed his cheek and stood up as they continued their way to the entrance of the hospital.
"Anything?" There was a smirk on his face as he deviously grinned at her.
She nodded, trying to figure out what his plan was. "As long as you stay in bed."
Xavier grabbed her hand and tugged on it, causing her to bend down to his level.
"Oh, I can think of plenty we can do in bed," he whispered into her ear, sneakily nipping her ear before he let her stand up so she could walk comfortably. She rolled her eyes when he didn't let go of her hand, keeping it laced together with his. With a smirk, he turned to the nurse.
"Nurse, can we pick up the pace? I'm trying to get home, so I can take my girlfriend to bed."
Let's just say, he had no more complaints with the wheelchair.

The weeks passed by rather quickly.
Despite his protests, Xavier was put on strict bed rest. At first, Aurora made sure he stayed in bed, convincing him that the company was fine without their boss and that Lucas had it all under control. It really wasn't that hard to convince him otherwise and she knew exactly what his weakness was.
Her.
But after a week of staying in bed, Xavier desperately missed screaming at his employees and finally managed to coerce his concerned girlfriend to let him at least go to work. She finally agreed with a pout, which he immediately kissed away, along with a promise of ice cream.
But, of course, she had conditions.
He was only allowed to go to work and had to come straight home, so his ankle could rest. She even enlisted the help of Jackson to keep an eye on his boss, making sure he didn't overexert himself. He was to report directly to her on how often he walked around.
Xavier found this amusing, since he was the one paying Jackson, but entertained Aurora's wishes since he knew it would make her feel better.
Aurora had also been staying at Xavier's house, wanting to be close, so she could take care of him. She only went back to her apartment to grab some things when she needed it. She even kept some of her clothing and most of her necessities in his house. All of her makeup and skincare products were laid spread out in the vanity room that Xavier never used.
And Xavier found himself loving itâ even though he would sometimes rearrange and tidy things up when she wasn't looking.
Aurora found herself loving the fact that she got to spend more time with Xavier. But even then, distance proved to be a bit of a problem for her. Xavier's house was a lot farther away from the firm, so she couldn't walk to work anymore. At first, Jackson would drive her to work, but after a while, she didn't want to keep burdening Jackson.
To solve this issue, Xavier let her drive his Tesla to which she was hesitant at first. But after a few weeks, she had gotten quite used to the carâeven going as far as naming it Snow because of the beautiful chic white seats.
Now that it was nearing 6 weeks, Xavier's condition was getting a lot better. He had an elastic bandage wrap around his ankle and didn't need his crutches anymore to help him walk. But even then, as soon as he got home, Aurora would immediately rush him off to bed.
He couldn't help but think how cute and lovable she looked as she tended to his needs. Not that he was complainingâ he actually found himself liking the fact that he had his own personal nurse.
Xavier was currently sitting up in bed with direct orders from his little nurse to not leave the bed. It was the weekend, meaning that he didn't have to go down to the company. At least she allowed him to do some work on his laptop, so he wouldn't be behind on paperwork.
Meanwhile, Aurora stood in the kitchen, stirring the freshly made cream soup that Rosa had step-by-step taught her to make.
During the past couple of weeks that she had been staying at Xavier's house, she had gotten a lot closer to Rosa. The older woman visited often, bringing delicious delicacies and sharing her detailed recipes with Aurora. She was sure that without Rosa's help she would've given up the first time she wanted to cook for Xavier.
Sensing that Aurora wasn't going to come back anytime soon, Xavier moved his laptop to the side and gently pushed the comforter away. Standing with a groan, he stretched his back and began to stealthily make his way to the door with a slight limp in his steps. But before he could take another step, the door opened swiftly, causing him to freeze.
"Xavier Knight, where do you think you're going?"
Oh, he was definitely busted.
Aurora stood at the door with a tray in her hands. The hot soup was scooped into a ceramic bowl and next to it, a steaming plate of Chicken Alfredo. Of course, she wasn't at that advanced of a level yet, and thus, the dish was ordered from their favorite Italian restaurant.
Xavier stood wide-eyed staring down at his girlfriend. He looked like a little kid who had gotten caught sneaking into a jar of cookies.
With a pointed look, she placed the tray down next to the bed and guided Xavier back to his rightful spot in bed. After a short scolding, she began to feed him the meal, blowing on the food so it wouldn't be too hot.
"Are you mad at me?" He mumbled, letting her feed him.
Aurora paused before replying, "No."
He kept his gaze on her as he brought his hand up to smooth out her scrunched eyebrow. Biting her lip with concentration, she focused on trying not to spill any of the soup. She could practically feel his piercing stare on her and it was making her a little nervous.
"You know I could never be mad at you," she gave him a small smile as she continued to feed him. "But you really should be resting in bed."
He gently pried the bowl from her hands and placed it onto the nightstand, making her look at him questioning. Before she could protest, he lifted her from her spot next to him and placed her onto his lap. Shifting so she was now straddling him, she looped her arms around his neck as he secured his arms around her waist.
"My ankle is almost healed," he began, keeping his gaze locked with hers. "The doctor said it would help my ankle if I walked around."
"I'm just worried about you," she mumbled, leaning down to place a sweet kiss on his lips. "But, I'll tone it down if that's what you want."
His expression softened. "You know that's not what I meant. I just want to let you know how thankful I am that you're here, by my side, every- single- day."
She giggled as he kissed her in between the last three words.
"You don't need to thank me," she murmured as she pulled away, playing with his hair at the nape of his neck. "You take care of me all the time, so it's my turn to take care of you."
Xavier held her gently, cupping her face with one hand while the other remained in its position on her waist. He leaned down, kissing her lips before trailing soft kisses over her jaw and down her neck. He softly kissed the tender area at the base of her neck before resting his face at the crook. Aurora held him close as a euphoric warmth filled her body.
"I love you," he murmured against her skin, leaving behind gentle kisses rhythmically in the tender spot. She felt her head swarm with warmth and euphoric feelings of pleasure as she mumbled a genuine reply.
"I love you, more."
"Impossible," he whispered, nipping her skin, causing her to let out a soft shriek in surprise.
They remained in the same position, quietly basking in each other's warmth. Although no words were spoken, it was as if they continued to communicate through their actions.
"You know, since you're over all the time," he began softly, knowing she could hear him clearly. Aurora hummed, urging him to continue as she continued to remain in his comfortable embrace.
"Move in with me."
Aurora froze with surprise, pushing back to look at him. She could see that he was genuine in his request as he stared back at her, nervously waiting for her answer.
"Move in with you?" She repeated, not sure if she heard him right. This would be a huge step in their relationship and sure, she was basically already living with him these past few weeks, but it was only temporary. She couldn't help but think anxiously.
"Most of your things are here anyways, I don't see why not." He added. Xavier could see the gears turning in her head as she scrunched her eyebrows in a furrow. He was feeling a bit nervous she was going to turn him down.
"But, I- would you be okay with that?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" He asked curiously, not getting why she asked this question. He would be more than okay with having her by his side and getting to spend more time with her.
"You know I'm kind of unorganized and I know you clean up after me sometimes," she mumbled, unsure. It was a silly concern, but one that bothered her. "You'll get tired of me."
"Where'd you get that idea from?" He bopped her nose with his at her silly thoughts. He sighed before he continued.
"I don't care about those little trivial things and you know, I would never get tired of you. I love your company and I love you," he murmured as he brought her close to him again. His fingers gently ran up and down her spine soothingly, coaxing shivers out of Aurora. "This house is too big for me alone. Move-in with me. Please."
She thought for a second as he pleaded. With that look on his face, it was hard to say no. Making up her mind, a smile graced her face as cupped his face in her hands. Her heart was thumping loudly, she was sure he could hear it.
"Alright, I'll move in with you."
A big grin spread on his face as he smoothly flipped them over so that he was now hovering over her. He continued to place kisses all over her face as she laughed under his strong hold before pulling away.
With her cheeks still blushing an endearing pink, she glanced up into his captivating grey eyesâthe same beautiful ones that had called out to her when they first met. He leaned down, resting his forehead against hers.
Aurora watched breathlessly as his eyes studied hers with silent intensity. He could stare at her all day and he still wouldn't get tired of her. His warm breath ghosted across her face and slowly Aurora's eyes fluttered shut in anticipation.
Finally, his soft lips captured hers, causing a heat to erupt through her body. Just as she felt a rush of euphoria engulf her, making her heart beat with happiness and joy, Xavier pulled away.
"I love you."
Her smile didn't leave her face as she whispered those three words that she could never get tired of saying and hearing.
