The Next Morning at the Min Mansion
The soft clinking of utensils and the occasional rustle of newspapers filled the elegant dining room as the Min family sat together for breakfast. Sunlight streamed in through the tall windows, casting a warm glow over the pristine table, adorned with fresh fruit, pastries, and steaming cups of tea.
Mrs. Min, ever the graceful woman, dabbed her lips with a napkin before turning her attention to her youngest son. "Jungkook," she began, reaching for her glass of orange juice, "when will you introduce us to Taehyung's parents?"
Jungkook, who had been silently enjoying his meal, abruptly choked on his food, his eyes widening in shock. He coughed harshly, struggling to swallow as his face turned slightly red.
Mr. Min, seated beside him, immediately handed him a glass of water and began rubbing his back in a soothing manner. "Drink, son. Slowly," he instructed, concern flickering in his eyes.
Jungkook gulped down the water, placing the glass back on the table as he tried to regain his composure. He cleared his throat before speaking, his voice slightly hoarse. "S-Soon, Mom. First, I'll have to talk about this with Tae."
Mrs. Min hummed in acknowledgment, nodding as she took another sip of her juice. However, before Jungkook could fully relax, Mr. Min nonchalantly added, "Yes, so we can discuss your wedding."
Jungkook barely had time to process the words before he choked again, his fork clattering onto his plate. His father, unfazed, once again passed him the glass of water, patting his back reassuringly.
"Eat carefully, son," Mr. Min said, watching his youngest struggle to regain his breath.
Jungkook turned to look at his father, his mouth slightly agape. "It means... you accept our relationship, Dad?" he asked, disbelief evident in his voice.
Mr. Min chuckled, nodding. "Who wouldn't? Taehyung is a wonderful boy, Jungkook. More importantly, you love him, and he loves you. That's all that matters."
Jungkookâs face lit up with a wide, boyish grin. Unable to contain his joy, he leaned over and pressed an affectionate kiss to his fatherâs cheek. "I love you, Dad! Thank you so much! You're the best father in the whole world!"
Mrs. Min watched the exchange with adoration in her eyes, her heart swelling at the sight of her husband and sonâs bond.
After a few moments, her expression softened into one of concern. She placed her utensils down and turned to Jungkook. "Son, have you spoken to Yoongi lately? Itâs been a month, and he still hasnât come home. Whenever we call him, it just goes to voicemail."
Jungkook's smile faltered slightly as he glanced at his mother. He, too, had been worried about his older brother. "No, Mom," he admitted, his voice quiet. "I havenât talked to him in a while. I've called him many times, but itâs always the same. His phone just keeps going to voicemail."
Mrs. Min sighed, her delicate fingers twisting together in worry. "Oh, that boy... I wonder how he's doing. Is he eating properly? Is he alright?" she mumbled, concern lacing her voice.
Jungkook reached across the table, squeezing his motherâs hand gently. "Donât worry, Mom. Wherever Hyung is, Iâm sure heâs alright. Heâll come home soon."
Mrs. Min let out another sigh, though she nodded at her sonâs words. "I justâ" she paused, seemingly lost in thought before a spark of realization flickered in her eyes. Then, with sudden enthusiasm, she clapped her hands together.
"Oh! I just thought of something!" she exclaimed.
Both Mr. Min and Jungkook paused, looking at her curiously.
"What is it, dear?" Mr. Min asked, setting down his cup of coffee.
Mrs. Min leaned forward slightly, a determined gleam in her eyes. "I think we should find someone for Yoongi. A sweet, loving boy who can take care of him, always look after him, and love him."
The dining room fell into silence.
Jungkook blinked. Mr. Min raised an eyebrow. Both men momentarily froze, forks hovering in mid-air as they stared at Mrs. Min.
"Excuse me?" Jungkook was the first to break the silence, his voice incredulous.
Mrs. Min tilted her head, as if confused by their reactions. "What? Don't you both think itâs a good idea?"
Surprisingly, it was Mr. Min who nodded first. "Actually, your mother has a point," he said, tapping his chin thoughtfully. "Yoongi has been alone for too long. He needs someone by his side."
Jungkook's jaw nearly dropped. He was not expecting his father to agree so easily.
"But, Mom, Dadâshouldnât we talk to Hyung about this first?" Jungkook reasoned.
"Of course, we will," Mrs. Min reassured. "Weâll ask for his opinion. But I do think we should start looking."
Jungkook sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Hyung is⦠complicated. You know how he is. He wonât like us meddling in his life."
Mrs. Min waved a dismissive hand. "Oh, nonsense. Heâll thank us later."
Jungkook wasnât so sure, but he decided to drop the subject for now.
"Anyway, finish your food," Mr. Min suddenly spoke up. "And after that, go talk to your soon-to-be husband about all this."
Jungkook groaned, shaking his head with a small smile. "Dad, youâre enjoying this too much."
Mr. Min smirked, sipping his coffee. "Of course, I am."
Mrs. Min chuckled as they all resumed eating.
Despite his initial hesitation, Jungkook couldnât help but feel grateful. His family had accepted Taehyung with open arms. And now, they were thinking of Yoongiâs happiness, too.
With that thought in mind, he finished his meal and soon headed to Taehyungâs house, already preparing himself for what was sure to be an interesting conversation.

An Evening at the Kim Mansion
The warm glow of the chandelier cast a soft light over the living room, where Jin and Jimin sat comfortably, engaged in conversation. Jimin laughed at something Jin had said when suddenly, the sound of a knock echoed through the grand hallway.
"I'll get it," Jimin said, standing up and heading toward the main door. As he opened it, his face immediately lit up with a smile.
"Oh, Kookie, welcome!" Jimin greeted warmly, stepping aside to let Jungkook in.
Jungkook smiled back, stepping inside with his hands tucked into his pockets. He was accompanied by his usual bright energy, making the atmosphere feel even lighter.
They both walked back to the living room, where Jin looked up and smiled upon seeing the younger boy.
"Oh, Kookie, how are you, dear?" Jin asked as he got up, pulling Jungkook into a warm hug.
"I'm fine, Uncle," Jungkook replied with a grin before pulling away. He then looked around the room expectantly. "But where's Tae?"
Jin chuckled. "Jimin, call him down. He must be busy with his work upstairs."
Jimin nodded and went up the grand staircase, disappearing into Taehyungâs room. Moments later, he returned with Taehyung trailing behind him.
As soon as Taehyung saw Jungkook sitting on the couch, he broke into a wide smile. Without hesitation, he walked over and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend.
"Hey," Taehyung greeted softly, his voice carrying warmth.
Jungkook squeezed his hand and smiled up at him. "Hey, babe."
They both sat beside each other, their hands still interlocked. Jin and Jimin watched them with fond expressions.
Jungkook then turned to Jin, his face brimming with excitement. "Uncle, today I talked to my parents about our relationship, and they said yes! They even want to meet you."
For a moment, Taehyung blinked, his mind processing what he had just heard. Then, his eyes widened, and he practically shouted, "Waitâwhat?! They said yes?"
His excitement was so overwhelming that all three of them couldnât help but laugh at his reaction.
Jin smirked. "Of course, son. Why wouldn't they? Jungkook is the only boy who can handle all your tantrums," he teased.
"Appa!" Taehyung whined, pouting in embarrassment.
"Come on, don't sulk," Jin chuckled before turning his attention back to Jungkook. "And yes, Kookie, I'll inform Joon, and weâll meet your parents tomorrow evening. How does that sound?"
Jungkookâs face lit up, nodding eagerly. "That sounds perfect! Thank you so much for accepting our relationship, Uncle."
Jin patted his shoulder. "You donât have to thank me, son. As long as you both are happy, thatâs all that matters."
Before anyone could say anything else, Jimin clapped his hands together, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "Okay, now whoâs going to give me a party?"
Taehyung rolled his eyes but grinned. "Come on, Chim, Iâll treat you to a party," he said playfully.
"Good! And yeah, Kookie, if Tae ever bothers you, just tell me. I'll make sure to beat him up," Jimin added with a smirk.
Jungkook laughed, hugging Jimin. "Got it, Chim. I'll let you know."
"Meanie," Taehyung huffed, crossing his arms. "You're taking his side now?"
Jimin laughed, shaking his head. "Iâm just making sure heâs not suffering because of you!"
Taehyung scoffed but soon found himself smiling when Jimin hugged him tightly. "Iâm really happy for both of you," Jimin whispered.
Taehyung softened, hugging his best friend back. "Thanks, Chim. That means a lot."
Jin watched them with affectionate eyes before turning to Jungkook. "Kookie, stay for lunch, okay?"
Jungkook nodded with a smile. "Of course!"
As they continued talking about wedding plans, Jin excused himself to the kitchen to prepare some of his sons' favorite dishes. The warm chatter and laughter filled the house, making it feel even more like home.
Back at the Min Mansion
After lunch, Jungkook bid everyone goodbye and made his way back home. As soon as he arrived, he excitedly told his parents about the meeting with the Kim family.
Their reactions were just as he had expectedâpure happiness.
"We are so happy for you, son," Mrs. Min said, hugging Jungkook tightly.
Mr. Min nodded, his face showing nothing but approval. "Tomorrow evening, weâll meet them and officially begin the wedding discussions."
Jungkook felt a wave of gratitude wash over him. Everything was falling into place, and he couldn't wait to spend forever with Taehyung.
