A Day at the Beach
The first day of their honeymoon started with the warm sun rising over the ocean. The sky was a soft shade of blue, and the waves moved gently, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The cool breeze carried the scent of salt and fresh air, making the morning feel refreshing.
As soon as they reached the beach, Jimin and Taehyung ran straight into the water, laughing as the waves touched their feet. The cool water felt nice against their skin, and they couldnât resist playing around.
Taehyung suddenly splashed water at Jimin with a playful grin. âThe waterâs nice, isnât it?â he teased.
Jimin gasped in shock, looking down at his now wet shirt. His mouth fell open, and for a second, he stared at Taehyung in disbelief. But then, he bent down and splashed water back at him.
Soon, they were in the middle of a full water fight, splashing each other again and again. Their laughter echoed over the beach, their playful shouts mixing with the sound of the waves. They looked like two kids having the time of their lives.
A little further away, Yoongi and Jungkook sat on a wooden bench under the shade of a tall palm tree. The sun was warm, but the cool breeze made it comfortable.
Jungkook leaned back, stretching his arms. He watched Jimin and Taehyung with a small smile. âThey act like kids,â he said, amused.
Yoongi smiled, his sharp eyes following Jimin as he nearly tripped in the water while laughing. âLet them,â he said in a calm voice. âThey deserve to enjoy this.â
Jungkook turned to look at Yoongi. âAnd you donât?â he asked, raising an eyebrow.
Yoongi let out a small breath and looked toward the ocean. âItâs different for me,â he replied, shrugging as if brushing off the thought.
Jungkook tilted his head. âYou donât always have to be serious, hyung,â he said with a knowing smile.
Yoongi glanced at him before letting out a quiet chuckle. âThatâs why I have you and Taehyung,â he said.
Jungkook grinned, nodding in agreement. They didnât need to say moreâthe comfortable silence between them was enough. They simply sat there, listening to the waves and the laughter of their loved ones.
After playing in the water, Jimin and Taehyung decided to take a walk along the shore. Their footsteps left soft prints in the wet sand as the waves gently touched their feet.
Jimin closed his eyes for a moment, taking in the salty breeze. The wind played with his hair, making it dance slightly. âThe ocean is so peaceful,â he said softly.
Taehyung smiled at him. âYou really love the sea, donât you?â
Jimin nodded. âIt makes everything feel light, like I donât have to worry about anything.â
Taehyung thought for a moment before saying, âKind of like how music makes me feel.â
Jimin turned to him with a warm smile. âYeah, just like that.â
As they continued walking, the sky slowly changed colors. Shades of orange, pink, and purple painted the horizon, making the ocean glow under the sunset. The golden light reflected in Jiminâs eyes as he stared in awe.
âItâs beautiful,â he whispered, as if afraid that speaking too loudly would break the magic of the moment.
Taehyung followed his gaze and nodded. âIt really is.â
For a while, they simply stood there, watching the sun sink lower into the sea. The waves moved gently, the world feeling calm and quiet around them.
It was a perfect, peaceful momentâone they would remember forever.
Taehyung and Jimin were still walking along the shoreline, their feet sinking slightly into the cool, wet sand with each step. The salty breeze tousled their hair as they chatted about the beauty of the sunset, their laughter blending with the soothing crash of the waves.
However, amidst their carefree wandering, fate had other plans.
With a sudden jolt, Taehyung collided with someone, his body stumbling slightly from the unexpected impact. His eyes widened in surprise as he turned to see who it was.
A man stood before him, his expression mirroring the same momentary shock. Their gazes locked, and for a brief second, time seemed to slow. A mix of astonishment, concern, and familiarity flickered through the strangerâs deep-set eyes.
Taehyung, always quick to recover, straightened himself and immediately offered an apology, his voice laced with sincerity.
"Oh! I'm sorry, Mr.â" he started, his lips parting as he glanced at the man.
The stranger, however, was already shaking his head with a small smile. "It's okay, no problem." His voice was calm, reassuring.
But then, something shifted in his expression. His eyes studied Taehyung a little longer before a flicker of recognition sparked in them.
"Wait⦠youâre Taehyung, right?" he asked, tilting his head slightly, as if confirming a memory.
Taehyungâs brows furrowed in confusion, his mind scrambling to place the familiarity in the man's face. He searched his thoughts for a connection until, suddenly, realization dawned.
"Wait a second⦠Kai?" Taehyungâs voice held a mix of surprise and recognition.
The man grinned, nodding. "Yes, Iâm Kai."
A warm smile spread across Kaiâs face, the kind that spoke of old memories and past friendships. "Long time no see, Taehyung. How have you been?"
Taehyung let out a small chuckle, still a little surprised. "Iâve been good. What about you?"
"Iâm doing well," Kai responded, his tone carrying a relaxed ease.
As if just remembering, Kaiâs gaze shifted to Jimin, standing quietly beside Taehyung, watching the exchange with curious eyes.
Taehyung, noticing the silent inquiry, quickly turned to Jimin with a smile. "Oh! Kai, this is my best friend, Jimin."
Kai immediately extended his hand, his expression friendly. "Ohh, hi Jimin. Nice to meet you."
Jimin, ever polite, returned the handshake with a soft smile. "Hello, nice to meet you too."
The handshake was brief, but the warmth of the gesture reflected mutual respect.
Curiosity getting the best of him, Taehyung asked, "Btw, Kai, what are you doing here? I never expected to see you in a place like this."
Kai let out a small chuckle. "I actually came here for business. Had some meetings, and wellâgood newsâI got the deal."
Taehyungâs eyes lit up in excitement. "Oh wow, congratulations, Kai!" His voice carried genuine happiness for his old friendâs success.
Kai grinned. "Thanks. And to celebrate, Iâm throwing a party tonight. You guys have to come." His words carried a playful challenge, as if daring them to say no.
Taehyung glanced at Jimin, who gave him a small nod. "Sure, weâll come!" Taehyung agreed instantly.
Kaiâs gaze lingered on Jimin for a brief moment before he smiled, nodded, and walked away, leaving them standing there with the sunset casting golden hues over the beach.
As soon as he disappeared into the crowd, Jimin turned to Taehyung, curiosity glimmering in his eyes. "Tae, who is he?"
Taehyung exhaled a small laugh before replying. "Heâs an old friend from college."
Jimin nodded in understanding but then pursed his lips in thought. "We should probably tell our husbands about this party before making any solid plans."
Taehyung grinned, linking his arm with Jiminâs. "Yeah, letâs go tell them."
---
The moment they approached the beachside seating area, where Yoongi and Jungkook were still lounging, Taehyung was practically buzzing with excitement. Settling beside his husband, he nudged Jungkookâs arm playfully.
"Kookie, guess who I met today?" Taehyungâs voice held a teasing lilt.
Jungkook arched a brow, intrigued by the sudden enthusiasm. "Who?"
"An old friend from college," Taehyung announced with a small grin.
Jungkookâs brows knitted together in amusement. "A college friend? Whatâs he doing here?"
Taehyung leaned in slightly. "Apparently, he came here for business. He got a deal and is celebrating by throwing a party tonight. He invited us."
Jungkook glanced at Yoongi before shrugging. "Oh? A party, huh? Sounds fun." His lips curled into a smirk. "Then we should go, hyung. Youâre coming too, right?" His gaze shifted toward Yoongi.
Yoongi, who had been quietly listening, finally spoke. "Jimin is going, so of course, Iâll come too." His voice was calm but firm, leaving no room for debate.
Taehyung beamed. "Great! Then itâs settled. Weâre going to a party tonight!"
Jimin chuckled softly at Taehyungâs enthusiasm, while Jungkook and Yoongi exchanged small, knowing glances.
After finalizing their plans for the party later that night, the four of them decided to spend the afternoon together, making the most of their vacation. With the sun high in the sky and a gentle breeze carrying the scent of the ocean, they made their way to a luxurious restaurant near the shore for lunch.
The restaurant was elegant yet welcoming, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that offered a breathtaking view of the sea. The soft murmur of conversations, the clinking of silverware, and the faint notes of classical music playing in the background created an atmosphere of quiet sophistication.
They settled into a private booth, where the plush seats and candle-lit ambiance made the setting even more intimate. The waiter arrived promptly, handing them sleek menus as they began browsing through the exquisite dishes offered.
Jimin, always mindful of others, hesitated slightly before choosing something for himself. Yoongi, seated beside him, noticed the way Jiminâs fingers lingered over a particular seafood dish. Without a word, Yoongi signaled the waiter.
"Weâll take the seafood platter for two, and also bring whatever he just looked at," Yoongi instructed, his tone calm yet firm.
Jimin glanced up, startled. "Yoongi, you donât have toâ"
Yoongi cut him off with a simple glance, his expression unreadable but gentle. "Eat properly, Jimin."
There was something in his tone, something almost protective, that made Jiminâs heart skip a beat. He lowered his gaze, hiding the small smile tugging at his lips.
Meanwhile, Taehyung and Jungkook were deep in conversation, debating whether to try an expensive steak dish or opt for a traditional Korean meal.
"Weâre in a different country, Tae. Try something new," Jungkook urged, amused by Taehyungâs indecision.
Taehyung pouted slightly before finally agreeing. "Fine. But if I donât like it, youâre eating the rest."
Lunch was filled with quiet moments of shared glances, soft conversations, and the occasional teasing remarks. Jimin, despite trying to act casual, couldnât ignore the way Yoongi subtly made sure his plate was always full, or how he would nudge a drink towards him whenever Jimin got too absorbed in conversation and forgot to sip his juice.
Yoongi wasnât loud about his care, but it was thereâin the smallest of gestures.
---
After lunch, they decided to explore a high-end shopping mall, one of the most famous in the area. The grand entrance greeted them with towering chandeliers and glossy marble floors that reflected the glow of expensive lights. The air carried the faint scent of expensive perfumes, and designer boutiques lined every corner.
Jimin walked beside Yoongi, slightly overwhelmed by the sheer luxury surrounding them. Though he had gotten used to working in the Min mansion, places like these still made him feel a little out of place.
"If you see something you like, let me know," Yoongi murmured as they stepped inside a high-end fashion store.
Jimin shook his head. "I donât need anything, Yoongi."
Yoongi didnât argue, but the way his gaze lingered on Jiminâs handsâempty, hesitantâtold a different story.
Jungkook and Taehyung were already ahead, excitedly browsing through clothing racks. Meanwhile, Yoongiâs eyes caught something near the jewelry sectionâa delicate silver necklace with a small, intricate pendant. It was subtle, not too flashy, but beautiful in its own way.
Without a second thought, he walked towards it.
Jimin, distracted by Taehyung calling him over to check out a jacket, didnât notice until Yoongi was already at the counter, quietly speaking to the salesperson.
A few moments later, Yoongi returned, holding a small, elegant box. He extended it towards Jimin.
Jimin blinked in confusion. "What is this?"
"Open it," Yoongi said simply.
With slightly hesitant fingers, Jimin carefully lifted the lid of the box. His breath hitched the moment he saw the necklace resting insideâa beautiful silver chain with a delicate, moon-shaped pendant. The craftsmanship was flawless, the details intricate yet subtle.
Jimin swallowed, his fingers brushing lightly over the pendant. "Yoongi⦠this is too much. I canâtâ"
Yoongi, however, had already moved behind him. Before Jimin could protest further, he gently lifted the necklace and clasped it around Jiminâs neck.
The cool metal rested against Jiminâs skin, sending a shiver down his spine. Yoongiâs fingers lingered for a brief moment as he adjusted it.
"It suits you," Yoongi murmured, his voice lower, softer.
Jiminâs cheeks warmed, his hands instinctively reaching up to touch the pendant. "Thank you," he whispered, voice barely above a breath.
Yoongi only hummed in response before stepping back, his eyes scanning Jiminâs face as if memorizing the way he looked at that momentâstunned, touched, beautiful.
Before Jimin could get too lost in his emotions, Taehyungâs excited voice broke through.
"Hyung! Jimin! Look at this coat! Doesnât it look amazing?" Taehyung held up an expensive designer coat, practically bouncing on his feet.
Jungkook, standing beside him, sighed. "Tae, are you really going to wear that? Weâre here for casual shopping."
Taehyung grinned. "Fashion is never casual, Jungkook."
Jimin let out a small laugh at their banter, but his fingers never left the necklace resting against his skin.
Yoongi, standing quietly beside him, caught the movement and let a small, satisfied smile grace his lips.
For now, that was enough.
