♡ Part ~ 4 ♡

YoU ArE OnLy MiNe || YOONMIN~FF

Jimin stood in front of the towering university building, inhaling deeply as he prepared himself for another monotonous day of lectures and solitude. He adjusted the strap of his bag, exhaling slowly before stepping inside. His sharp eyes flitted over the schedule posted on the bulletin board, double-checking the room number before heading toward his class.

The moment he walked in, a familiar wave of hushed whispers and lingering gazes greeted him. Jimin wasn’t oblivious to the attention he received—he knew that people found him intriguing, but it wasn’t for the reasons one might assume. It was a mixture of curiosity and admiration, maybe even jealousy. He was the top scholar, the quiet yet untouchable student who never sought friendships, never participated in idle gossip, and never seemed to belong.

Ignoring the stares, he made his way to his usual seat by the window, resting his bag on the desk. The warm sunlight filtered through the glass, casting a golden glow over his pale skin. Jimin loved sitting by the window—it was the closest he ever felt to freedom.

As the professor entered, the room fell silent, and the lesson began. Jimin focused intently, his mind absorbing every bit of information like a sponge. He took meticulous notes, his pen gliding effortlessly across the page. Learning had always been his escape—his way of ensuring he never had to depend on anyone but himself.

Before long, the bell rang, signaling lunchtime. The students quickly gathered their belongings, chatting animatedly as they made their way out of the room. Jimin, however, remained seated, staring at the empty desk in front of him.

He never went to the cafeteria.

While his classmates enjoyed their meals, Jimin pulled out his headphones, plugging them into his phone before stepping outside. The cool breeze rustled his hair as he wandered toward the university garden—a place he often sought refuge in.

Finding an empty bench, he sat down, closing his eyes as soft melodies filled his ears. Music was his solace, a momentary escape from the loneliness that clung to him like a second skin.

For a brief moment, he let himself pretend. Pretend that he wasn’t alone. Pretend that when he opened his eyes, someone would be sitting beside him, laughing, teasing, offering him a bite of their lunch. But when the bell rang, pulling him back to reality, he was once again left with nothing but silence.

Reluctantly, he tucked his headphones away and returned to class.

The rest of the day passed in a blur of lectures and routine. When the final bell rang, marking the end of his university day, Jimin gathered his things and boarded the bus, resting his head against the cool window. He watched as the city passed by in streaks of color and light, lost in his own thoughts.

By the time he arrived home, the sky had begun to darken. Unlocking the door, he stepped inside, the empty silence greeting him like an old friend. He dropped his bag onto the table with a dull thud before collapsing onto the couch.

Leaning back against the worn cushions, he let out a slow, weary sigh. His gaze drifted upwards, staring blankly at the ceiling.

This was his life.

Wake up, go to university, come home, and repeat. A never-ending cycle of solitude.

Jimin had always wished for something more—for a family, for friends, for someone to love. But fate had never been kind to him. The world had taken and taken, leaving him with nothing in return.

He closed his eyes, but instead of the present, his mind took him back to a distant memory—one he rarely allowed himself to think about.

The orphanage.

A place that had never truly felt like home, where children were treated like burdens rather than blessings. The caretakers were cold, and the other kids had never fully accepted him.

Except for one person.

The garden had been his only sanctuary back then—a vibrant place filled with flowers and laughter, where, for a short time, he could pretend to be like any other child. And it was there, amidst the blooming petals and warm sunlight, that he had met him.

A boy.

"Flashback"

The lady in her thirties who took care of children in an orphanage used to take all the children to the garden every evening. Her name is Sophie.

"Ready children," Sophie asked the children who were ready to go to the garden they all were so excited except one,

"Yeshh". all the children said in unison with a wide smile.

Sophie brought all the children to the garden and everyone started playing.

One boy goes to the bench and sits down on the bench because no children want to play with that boy so he always comes to the same bench and sits quietly and watches all the children playing with each other, he also wants to play with others but nobody wants to play with him, he approached many times to that children's but they always pushed him and say that they don't want to play with the chubby boy. This happened many times so he decided not to bother them again and always watch them playing from afar.

"Dada appa come fast We are getting late". A four-year-old boy yelled.

"Oh, my god we're coming baby" Two handsome men came downstairs where their son was standing in the living room fully ready and looking so excited to go to the garden to play. He loves to go to the garden and play with children.

They reach the garden and the little boy Tae runs towards the garden.

"Tae bub don't run you'll get hurt baby" the little boy appa said but he ran away fast without listening to what his appa said.

"Aishh This boy always runs like this whenever he comes here". One of the handsome men said to his husband while watching his son's direction where he ran.

"Come on jinnee baby you know our tae he loves to spend his time in the garden let him be". Another handsome man said and his husband nodded.

"Hello Mr. Kim Namjoon and Mr. Kim Seokjin, how are you?" One man asked both of the men they turned around and saw a man in his thirties standing in front of them that person was their business friend.

"Oh, Mr Yunjun we're good, what about you?" Kim Namjoon asked with his famous dimple smile.

"I'm good I was passing from there when I saw you guys, I thought to greet you so I came". Mr Yunjun said.

"Oh we came here every day because our son loves to play in the garden so we always brought him here every evening". Kim Seokjin replied politely and smiled at them.

"Oh, so how's your business going". Yunjun asked.

"All good, you tell?". Kim Namjoon replied. And like this, they went busy talking with each other.

Little Tae goes to the garden and his eyes fall on the same boy, a small boy, the same age, he is sitting alone on the bench again.

he sees that boy every day, that boy is sitting alone on the same bench daily. And he never plays with anyone.

Seeing all this, it's been a whole month.

Seeing that boy sitting alone, Taehyung feels very bad because he is always alone and never plays with anyone.

But Tae never plays with that boy. Didn't go near to ask why he sat here alone always, why he never played with others.

But today he comes thinking that today he will ask him, so Taehyung walks over to the little boy and stands in front of him.

"Hello, cute boy". Little Tae asked another little boy who was sitting on the bench.

After listening to someone's voice the little boy who was sitting on the bench shot his head up and looked towards the boy who was standing in front of him. He saw a cute little boy wearing a very cute dress pink fluffy sweater and pink fluffy pants, unlike him wearing old not-so-good clothes.

"Umm h-hello," the little boy said hesitantly, because nobody called him cute this was the first time someone mentioned him as cute. And also nobody ever approached him first to talk so he is feeling kinda nervous.

"Hey I'm Tae, What's your name cute boy?". Little Tae asked curiously and watched the boy with his beautiful curious eyes.

"My name is Jimin". A little boy named Jimin replied nervously.

"Oh, why do you always sit there and never play?" Little Tae asked Jimin.

"I don't have any friends that's why". Jimin said in his sad tone and lowered his head. When Tae heard what the Little boy said he felt bad so he gently held Jimin's hand. When Jimin felt something soft in his hand he looked at his hands and saw that Tae was holding his hand so he looked at him.

"Don't be sad Chim, umm can I call you Chim". Little Tae asked and Jimin nodded, so Tae gave a boxy smile to him.

I will be your friend from now onwards". Little Tae said and smiled at him.

"Really". Jimin asked curiously and his eyes widened, he felt so happy.

"Yesh and even I will play with you every day. We will play together" Little Tae said excitedly and dragged Jimin towards the hammock,

"Taetae I'm tired". Little Jimin said and sat on the ground and tried to catch his breath, he felt so tired because he was trying to catch Tae for 10 minutes, but Tae was running so fast.

"Aww chim you're already tired". Little Tae said and came towards Jimin and stood in front of him. But he stumbled back when Jimin jumped on him.

"Yeh yeh... I caught you" little Jimin shouted excitedly while giggling cutely.

"Nuh chim this is cheating" little Tae complained, but after listening to Jimin's giggle he felt so happy cause this was the first time he saw this boy smiling, he had never seen a smile on Jimin's face but today he had smiling that too because of him.

"Nuh, I did nothing". Little Jimin said and started laughing.

"Ok, fine chim". Little Tae said and hugged Jimin tightly, and Jimin also hugged back, jimin felt so overwhelmed because this was the first time someone hugged him and it felt so good.

"Jimin come lets go time is already over". Jimin heard Mrs Sophie's voice and backed away from the hug.

"Taetae I'm going we'll play tomorrow". Little Jimin said and kissed Tae on his cheeks and ran from there not giving time to Tae to reply. Taehyung felt so happy while seeing Jimin like this. He also left from there and saw his parents standing near the car. He went to them and all three left for their mansion.

That's how Taehyung and Jimin used to play together in the garden every evening and they became best friends like soulmates.

Once Taehyung didn't come to play in the garden for two days and Jimin waited for him, so he was very sad because Taehyung didn't even tell him that he wouldn't come for two days. Then when Taehyung came to the garden on the third day, Jimin didn't talk to him because he was angry but Taehyung gave chocolate to Jimin, so he agreed and then he started talking to him. Taehyung always brought Jimin chocolates and candies, and their friendship became very deep.

One day Taehyung introduces Jimin to his parents and his parents like Jimin very much. Taehyung's parents started loving Jimin very much because he was a very cute and intelligent boy and was Taehyung's best friend. And sometimes Taehyun's parents used to play with both of them and spend time. By doing this, they stayed together for at least 6 years, which means they used to spend time with each other daily in the evening.

When Taehyung's parents came to know about Jimin that he lives in an orphanage, they felt very bad so they started treating Jimin like their son and Taehyun also started treating Jimin like his brother.

But when Taehyung found out that he was leaving Korea, he started crying a lot and didn't talk to his parents for a week because he didn't want to leave Jimin because he got used to Jimin and He did not spend even a single day without seeing him, so how can he even think of leaving him. But Somehow his parents convinced him and agreed to go to America, although they also did not feel like leaving Jimin, what could they do, that's why they had to go.

when Taehyung turned ten, the Kim family left Korea and went to America because of their business work. And Taehyung continued his further studies in America.

When Jimin comes to know that Taehyung is leaving Korea with his family, he feels very bad and becomes very sad. He does not want Taehyung and his parents to leave him because he has become very attached to them. them

That Was Because Taehyung was the first person in his life who explained to him the meaning of love, friendship and care. Taehyung was very important to him as did his parents.

And Taehyung's parents also started loving Jimin very much, and used to spend time with him, they used to treat him like a real son and used to bring him lots of gifts, clothes, and chocolates.

Jimin loves Taehyung and his parents but when they left him, he broke down. He had gone and used to cry every night because he missed him a lot. That's why he didn't talk to anyone in school and he never made anyone his friend again and started spending his time alone because he was afraid he would make friends again and that too left him. And will not be able to tolerate this sorrow again.

"Flashback ended"
