GETTING ACQUAINTED

Jaimee's POV****

Why was i following her, i had no idea why i pulled out behind alexis car, a part of me wanted to go home, yet the next part of me was really intrigued by her, my mind briefly strayed to mark, should i feel guilty?? no why should i??? my inner self argued, i have not done anything, i just wanted to make sure alex got home safe, after all i am her boss right, if anything happened to her i would be short one employee right, i smirked as the jumbled thoughts rushed through my mind, was i really following her because i didnt wanna be short one employee or was i following her because i was intrigued.

we drove for what felt like hours, i should have turned back i argued to myself, alexis was definately not a slow driver, i struggled to keep up with her, "im gonna have to talk to her about her driving" i muttered to myself, then stopped short,what did i care, as a matter of fact i dont even know her, what the hell was i doing,was i that desperate for attention, or was i that bored overall of everything, as i made my mind to signal her that i was turning back, i see her flash her indicators to turn so i turned as well and realised we were pulling into a neighborhood, she had already pulled over and was stepping out infront of a small yet comfy looking home, i pulled up behind her shutting off the light. i got out and closed my door and walked over, from afar i could see that she was shivering, she was still soaked in her clothes, once she saw that im still following her, we made our way towards the house,  i heard a dog barking and saw alexis making her way towards the side of the house, not being a fan of dogs so i didnt follow instead i stepped up on the porch and waited for her, within five minutes she was back, now muddy and even more soaked, i gotta admit she looked even more adorable,  "im sorry about that bruno got carried away when he saw me, jumped up and we both landed in the mud," she explained, i smiled, "thats ok, brown is definately your color" i smirked, she smiled and i caught a glimpse of mischief in her eyes, before i knew it alexis had captured me in a huge bear hug, crushing her body to mine and smearing everything on me from her, i was so surprised at this unexpected playfullness from her that i didnt know whether to be angry or shocked, "ewwwww now you have me all muddy, smelling like a dog!!!!!" i yelled trying to push her away but my hand came in contact with firmness and she didnt budge, i wiggled and tried desperately to escape from the embrace yet she didnt move not one bit, i heard her laughing and so captured was i in the sound of her laughter that i stopped moving immediately and looked down on her, her eyes were closed and her head was thrown back laughing, i felt her body shaking the more she laughed, she seem to realise that ive stopped moving and open her eyes to look at me, our eyes collided and i felt a rush of something unfamiliar pushing through me, we stood there staring at each other and i swear she was going to kiss me, but she stepped back, chuckled and ran her hand through her hair, "umm.. i think brown fits you better: then she started laughing again, i smacked her arm playfully, "now look what you have done, i asked for dinner and this is what i get?" i teased, she smiled but said nothing, leading the way to the door she produced the key and handed it to me, "whats this for?" i asked puzzled, i swear she was confusing, she grinned "just giving you the honours of  pulling my door milady" she grinned obviously amused at her effort of a british accent, i clapped my hands with glee deciding to play along with her  " ohh my a key!!!!! for me!!!!! i loovee it!!!"" i gushed, all lovey dovey i rushed to her and gave her a playful kissed on her cheek, did i feel her tense? i must have imagined it cause when i looked at her she seemed fine, stepping pass i gave a little princess walk and opened her door, hearing her chuckling i smiled and stepped back for her to pass. after all it was her place.

we went in and once she flipped the switch i gasped, was not expecting it to be so homie, everything was organised,we stepped right into her living room area and it made me thought instantly of a bachelors crib, the kitchen was right nearby the living room with only a window and door way seperating the two, she had a book shelf on the wall filled with books, a tv filled the entire side of the wall, with a cute comfy looking black couch facing it, there was a glass table neatly arranged with more books and a playstation game right infront the couch, i smirked, tomboy i mused, in the corner there was a dining room table with flowers arranged in the middle, then there was a hallway, leading no doubt to her bedroom and bathroom, i gulped, why did i feel all tingly when i thought about what in her bedroom would be like.

Alex POV*****

I watched jaimee looking around, good thing my place was in a good condition i smiled, closing the door behind us, i stepped in and helped her out of her jacket, it felt odd having her here but i shrugged off the feelings, she was my boss after all, there is nothing wrong if we had a friendship, "so imma get some clothes for you to put on ok, you could always use my shower" i expected her to refuse, but she agreed, heading down the hallway i felt her eyes on my back but didn't bother to turn and catch her in the act of staring, grabbing a t shirt and small shorts for her i quickly jumped in the shower to clean up, i sighed as the water ran over me, damn this was a good feeling,I enjoyed coming in and standing under the shower until I got wrinkled from the water, not wanting to take too long i had a quick shower and came out, i wanted to stay longer but i figured maybe i can shower again later, i planned on cooking dinner for her which was weird,why would u cook for your boss??my mind argued, can you afford to cook for a lady with such class??my mind argued even more,the idea came across to me when she said she wanted dinner,and because of the rain and that fact that i was soaked i thought why not just stay home and cook,it was still early and i just acted on it telling her to follow me, fully expecting her to refuse,when she didnt i gotta admit i couldnt stop the feeling of excitement that ran through me, i know she was nothing like me, being married and all but that surely didnt mean we couldnt be friends, yes there were moments there that we kept on making eye contacts  with each other and i felt something stirring in me but i refuse to act on those monents, i know it wasnt gon happen because she didn't strike me as the type of person that would hook up with a random person.

Heading out i see her sitting on the fluffy carpet on the ground, my entire living room was covered with a blue fluffy carpet, i loved the feeling and i loved the colour of the sea as well, so i got it the moment I saw it. "why are you on the floor?" i wrinkled my brows in confusion, "im dirty, i didnt wanna soil your couch"she sniffed,pretending to be all modest, i smiled, " cmon i placed some clothes on the bed ok, you said you wanted dinner and im going to cook, when your in the shower im gonna place your clothes in the washer and dryer is that ok??" i asked her concerned, she didnt answer and i raised my brows at her waiting for her to acknowledge me, "no one has cooked for me in a really long while, wow, can you cook by the way??" She asked me smugly, i was so surprised at her i burst out laughing, she seems startled at my response and sat there looking at me, "im pretty sure i can cook, but lemme know after im through," she got up and headed to my room, wow, i thought, for a person that was new to my place, she was certainly comfortable i watched as she started kicking off her shoes and turned away when i realise she was going to strip for the shower, i headed to the kitchen to start cooking with the biggest smile on my face, i had a girl in my apartment, a mature girl, a girl out of my league, a sexy girl, my smiled just kept getting wider and wider and wider. i couldnt help it.
