Chapter 670 Marrying Noah
Jojo and Coco’s Unexpected Love
At the Sullivan estate, Desmond had been waiting for Chloe for a long time. Since learning that
Chloe was his granddaughter three years ago, he had wanted to announce this joyful news to the
world and transfer one-sixth of Exotic Star's shares to her. Chloe had declined the offer, stating that
she wanted to wait until she returned to her home country.
Apart from being Exotic Starâs ambassador, she was unfamiliar with the other aspects of the
companyâs business. Secondly, Noah had been the one managing Exotic Star all these years, and
she did not want to reap the rewards without contributing to its success. She did not want Noah to
feel like she was meddling in his interests. He had helped her too much, and she did not want to
take advantage of him.
As Chloe stepped out of the car, Desmond waved at her with a smile. "You must be tired from the
flight. I did instruct our private plane to pick you up, but you said it was too troublesome."
"Grandpa, I'm not delicate," Chloe said, chuckling. Besides, she was going to give a certain group of
people a surprise, so she had to stay low profile.
"That's right, Grandpa. Chloe knows what she wants. Besides, the time taken wouldn't be much
different," Noah chimed in, unconditionally supporting her decisions.
Noticing the affection in Noah's eyes as he looked at Chloe, Desmond pondered for a moment and
made up his mind.
"Chloe, can I have a minute with you?"
"Okay."
In the study, Chloe took a seat. She noticed a plate of green grapes on the table and casually
popped one into her mouth. "What is it, Grandpa?"
She had been away from Aesper for the past five years, and Desmond had occasionally come to
visit her in Estre after learning of her true identity. Yearning for family affection, she naturally
welcomed his presence.
Desmond contemplated for some time before saying, "Noah's grandfather and I had agreed on a
marriage between you and Noah. The matter was put on hold because we couldn't find you. Now
that you're back and have experienced so much hardship, you can stay in the Sullivan estate if you
marry Noah. You two can manage Exotic Star as a married couple."
Chloe blinked playfully and chuckled, "Grandpa, I'm a divorced woman, and I'm a few years older
than Noah. Are you sure he'll accept me?"
"I'm sure he will. Besides, it's normal for young people to experience a few failed marriages. What
truly matters is that you support each other and lead a happy life together."
Desmond had a hunch that Noah had been harboring feelings for Chloe for a long time yet was
hesitant to confess his love. Since he had kept his emotions hidden all this while, he probably would
not make any moves. But that did not mean Desmond could not lend a helping hand. And Chloe
was right. If Noah was willing to marry her, she would not be the one getting the short end of the
stick.
Desmond had watched Noah grow up. He trusted him to take care of his granddaughter, even
though he suspected that Noah had found out about Chloe's true identity long ago and intentionally
did not tell him.
Seeing that her grandfather was serious, Chloe straightened her back and said earnestly, "I'll give it
some serious thought, but right now, I have more important things to do."
Although Noah had never explicitly expressed his feelings for her, they had spent time together for
five years, and even the densest of people would notice his feelings through the details. She was
simply unwilling to confront it. But upon careful consideration, Desmond's words made sense. Being
with Noah was a choice with countless benefits and no harm.
"No need to rush. Sit on it," Desmond said. He did not press on the matter as he did not want Chloe
to feel pressured.
A house helper showed Chloe to her room. The spacious bedroom covered one hundred square
meters and was adorned in a pink color scheme. The walk-in closet housed a vast collection of
limited-edition clothes and bags, all perfectly tailored to her style. The room exuded a delightful and
girlish charm.
Chloe's heart warmed as she felt clearly valued and treated with importance.
She unpacked her belongings, organized them neatly, then took a relaxing hot bath before resting
on the bed. Since today was Xavia's son's birthday, she assumed that there would not be anyone by
Haroldâs side.
Throughout the years, she had never once stopped worrying about Harold.
*
When Chloe arrived at the hospital, Harold was lying quietly on his bed with an oxygen tube placed
under his nose. Due to being in a coma for a long while, his limbs were emaciated and his
cheekbones protruded from his face. He displayed no signs of vitality.
Tears welled up in Chloe's eyes as she gazed at the bustling and lively scene outside while realizing
Harold had been left all alone. How could Joseph be so heartless? It seemed like he had forgotten
about his grandfather after gaining a son. Had he even bothered to come and visit his grandfather
lately?
"Who are you?" A high-pitched voice suddenly came from behind Chloe.
