Blinking, Chloe asked, "A man's lover? You mean the kind I'm thinking of?"

"Yes. A man," Noah replied calmly.

Her lips twitched, and she seemed puzzled. "Seriously? He doesn't strike me as that kind of person.

How could he..."

She had read some reports about Michael. He came from a wealthy family, and his journey to fame

was inspirational. It was hard to believe that he would compromise himself like that.

Sensing Chloe's doubt, Noah continued, "Some people are like that. You can't judge a book by its

cover."

"Maybe you're right." Chloe shrugged. "Xavia’s that way too."

She did not hold much attachment to Michael and was simply curious about it. He was just Exotic

Star's cooperative partner. If things did not work out with him, they could replace him.

Noah watched Chloe return to her bedroom before heading to the bathroom to freshen up. The

large mirror reflected a sophisticated and gentle young man with impeccable features and a warm,

amiable demeanor. But upon closer scrutiny, the smile on his face appeared somewhat forced and

lacked genuine warmth.

Early the next morning, Chloe went to work as usual. Shortly after the morning meeting, Michael

showed up. She was surprised and had her secretary bring two cups of coffee.

"I watched the live stream yesterday. Why didn't you let me appear on camera? Did I do something

wrong?" Michael humbly inquired.

Chloe recalled what Noah said last night and felt a little embarrassed to look into Michael’s eyes.

"After some discussion, Exotic Star decided to use our in-house livestreamer. Suddenly changing

hosts might not sit well with the audience. So, we’ve decided to stick with our in-house

livestreamer."

"I see. Well then, if there's a chance, I'd like to give it a try. After all, I've been a livestreamer before

and I won't charge any fees," Michael said, not willing to give up on the girl he had grown fond of.

He hoped to build a relationship with her through work. Besides, there were two other high-quality

men around her, so he had to seize every opportunity he could.

Feeling the sincerity in his words, Chloe found it difficult to reject him outright. After all, he was a

well-known celebrity who was humble and easy to work with. If it were not for Noah's instructions,

she might have agreed. But in the end, she found a reason to turn down his kind offer.

Michael did not continue to pester her, but he did sense a change in how she treated him. As soon

as he stepped out of her office, he called his agent to ask if he had left a bad impression on anyone

at Exotic Star.

From a corner, Noah was chatting with a designer when he looked up and saw Michael walking out

of Chloe's office. He narrowed his eyes and raised his hand to interrupt the designer. "Wait here for

a moment."

"You have plenty of other commercial performances scheduled, if Exotic Star doesn't work out, we

can switch to another agency. It's not like we can't earn money elsewhere,” Michael’s agent said.

"You don't understand. It's not about money," Michael replied.

"What do you mean?"

"There's a girl at Exotic Star that I quite like. My family is pressuring me, and I would like to get

married."

"Who is she? I have to assess her. I can't let you be with someone with a complicated background."

"You don't have to worry about that. I’ll make my own decisions regarding my private life."

After hanging up the phone, Michael felt a sudden chill behind him. He turned around to look, but

there was nothing there. Assuming that he was overthinking things, he went to his car.

At 6 in the afternoon, after a long hard day of work, office workers turned to their phones to watch

some entertainment videos. Suddenly, a pop-up about Michael being the secret lover of a wealthy

businessman appeared on their screens. There were also a few blurry photos attached at the end of

the article, and it instantly became the most trendy topic of the day.

Chloe also saw the pop-up. She enlarged the photos and stared at them but could not clearly

identify whether the person in them was Michael. However, several netizens analyzed the photos

extensively and some claimed to have witnessed Michael staying at a hotel with an overweight

man.

She felt something was amiss. Noah had mentioned this just last night, and today, it was suddenly

exposed so quickly. It all seemed too coincidental.
