Chapter 730 A Special Drink
Jojo and Coco’s Unexpected Love
Chloe glanced at Lucas and then checked the time. "It's too late. I won't be going."
She was unsure if Callum would be waiting there again, and she had no time to accompany him in
another repentance session.
"There's no one else at the house. Only Mr. Harold and Mr. Jasper," Lucas said as if he knew what
she was thinking. "Mr. Joseph promised that it won't be like last time."
Still, Chloe insisted, "No, please make sure to schedule the cooking in advance next time. I'm busy,
and I'm the Whitmans hired cook.â
Lucas hesitated, knowing Joseph would punish him severely if he gave up.
Refusing to waste her time, Chloe yawned and walked away.
"Wait, Ms. Chloe."
"I already said that I won't go."
"It's not about that. I just want to know if you're still in touch with Emily. If yes, can you please share
with me her new number?â
Chloe stopped in her tracks. She looked at Lucas curiously and asked, "Do you like Em?"
Lucas was stunned for a few seconds. He had not expected such a direct question. He blushed as
he replied, "I don't know. I just want to keep in touch with her."
"Okay, Iâll give you her number."
Chloe quickly provided Lucas with Emily's phone number. Her friend had been single for so many
years, and it was about time for her to find a boyfriend. Although Lucas was Joseph's assistant,
Lucas was of good character. She would be very happy if Emily could start a relationship with him.
"Thank you, Ms. Chloe," Lucas said gratefully as he jotted down the number, wondering how to
persuade Chloe. Just as Chloe was about to mention the last digit of the number, he bit the bullet
and said, "Ms. Chloe, please come to the house with me. Mr. Joseph said that this one meal can be
counted as two."
Chloe was taken aback, "Wait, let me record that on my phone. Repeat what you just said. Iâll play it
for him in case he goes back on his word."
Lucas was speechless.

Soon, they arrived at the Whitman family home.
Two cars entered the garage simultaneously. Chloe glanced sideways and met Joseph's gaze. His
gaze was intense with emotions as he locked eyes with her. Chloe averted her gaze and got out of
the car. Lucas had given her the menu earlier, and the refrigerator was stocked with fresh
ingredients. She rolled up her sleeves and got to work.
When Joseph walked in, he emotionlessly glanced at her. After that, he took off his tie and sat on
the sofa. Upstairs, Jasper and Timothy Gabel were hiding in a corner, discussing in hushed voices.
"My dad hasn't reconciled with Ms. Chloe yet. He's so slow."
Sucking on a huge lollipop, Timothy said, "My daddy used to work overtime a lot and had no time to
accompany my mom. She got angry and gave him a drink. They made up after sleeping together
that night, and everything was fine the next day. Do you want to give your dad this drink too?"
"What kind of drink had such an effect?" Jasper asked, his voice filled with puzzlement.
"It's from a small bottle. I've never seen it in the supermarket. My mom keeps it in her bedroom, and
the labelâs in a foreign language, so I can't read it."
"Your parents went out of town today?"
"Yeah."
Jasper peered at the two downstairs who were not talking to each other. "Can you give me a bottle
of this drink?"
Timothy nodded innocently, "Sure, I'll bring one for you tomorrow."
"No, thatâd be too late," Jasper said seriously, "Let's go to your house now and get the drink."
